A wave of immense spiritual pressure, like a colossal tidal wave, slammed into the Dankū barrier erected by Byakuya Kuchiki.

The disparity in spiritual pressure proved too great; the barrier, unable to withstand the onslaught, shattered almost instantly.

Witnessing the destruction of his defensive barrier, Byakuya Kuchiki, disregarding the need to conserve his spiritual energy, immediately unleashed his Bankai.

In an instant, tens of thousands of blade-like sakura petals coalesced, forming a formidable shield before him and Suì-Fēng.

Barboni’s spiritual pressure wave, unable to breach the Senbonzakura’s defense, was met with a swift counterattack. Byakuya Kuchiki, with a flick of his wrist, directed the countless petals into a relentless assault.

A sea of pink blades surged towards Barboni from every direction.

Barboni, forced to retreat, used his shark-head hands to unleash continuous blasts of spiritual pressure, attempting to repel the onslaught of Senbonzakura’s blades.

While Barboni’s spiritual pressure arguably surpassed Byakuya Kuchiki’s, the sheer number of blades unleashed by Senbonzakura’s Bankai, providing both impenetrable defense and devastating offense, proved to be a significant challenge.

Barboni found himself struggling to cope with this overwhelming assault.

Overwhelmed by the relentless attack, he failed to notice Suì-Fēng, concealed amidst the countless pink blades, stealthily approaching him.

Under the cover of Byakuya Kuchiki’s Senbonzakura, Suì-Fēng successfully infiltrated Barboni’s immediate vicinity.

Her eyes flashing with a cold intensity, Suì-Fēng unleashed a sudden burst of spiritual pressure, launching a lightning-fast surprise attack. Her Suzumebachi, the razor-sharp finger guard, precisely struck a pre-existing butterfly mark on Barboni’s back.

Barboni, startled by the sudden attack, initially believed the strike to be inconsequential, scoffing loudly, ”Is this the best a captain-level Shinigami can manage? It barely tickles! How utterly laughable!”

Suì-Fēng responded with a cold sneer, ”You’re already dead.”

As Barboni prepared to retort, he suddenly lost control of his spiritual energy. His entire being began to rapidly disintegrate.

”This is impossible! What have you done?!” Barboni cried out in terror, his body visibly dissolving into spiritual particles.

Suì-Fēng calmly explained the nature of her ”Nigeki Kessatsu” ability, a cold smile playing on her lips as she watched her opponent’s life force ebb away.

Just as everyone anticipated Barboni’s imminent demise, the azure gem embedded in his chest suddenly glowed, a surge of strange, azure spiritual pressure enveloping him. The Dōgyoku had initiated its restorative power.

Under the Dōgyoku’s influence, Barboni’s disintegrating body stabilized, his spiritual energy ceasing its rapid decline. Although his spiritual pressure was significantly diminished, he had miraculously survived.

Suì-Fēng’s expression was one of utter disbelief. She had never imagined her ”Nigeki Kessatsu” ability could be rendered ineffective.

”Impossible. Suzumebachi’s ability is absolute. No one can escape the ’Nigeki Kessatsu’ rule,” Suì-Fēng murmured, a look of bewilderment on her face.

Byakuya Kuchiki, standing beside her, calmly stated, ”No ability is truly absolute. Shinigami power is fundamentally rooted in spiritual pressure.

If the disparity in spiritual pressure is significant enough, ability failure is entirely plausible.”

Suì-Fēng let out a cold snort. ”Where did you acquire such a theory?”

Byakuya Kuchiki calmly responded, ”From Senior Yusuke.”

Upon hearing Yusuke’s name, Suì-Fēng’s expression softened slightly. ”I suppose you’re right, but this enemy remains a formidable challenge.”

Startled by Suì-Fēng’s near-fatal attack, Barboni, fueled by a mixture of fear and rage, unleashed the Dōgyoku’s ultimate power—his second Resurrección.

A wave of violent and chaotic spiritual pressure erupted from Barboni, and he roared towards the heavens, ”Annihilate all! Dragon Vortex Shark Knight!”

The azure glow of the Dōgyoku pulsed through his body, spreading along his veins and drastically amplifying his spiritual pressure.

With the activation of his second Resurrección, the shark heads on his arms detached.

The left shark head transformed into a massive great white shark hovering in the air, while the right became a fearsome shark-head spear.

Riding atop the great white shark, Barboni, wielding the shark-head spear, let out a ferocious cry, ”With this power, you can only feel terror! Shred them, Shark Tornado!”

He pointed the spear towards the grim-faced Suì-Fēng and Byakuya Kuchiki, unleashing a raging spiritual whirlwind that engulfed the entire area.

This spiritual whirlwind formed a colossal tornado that pierced the heavens, lightning crackling around its edges.

Within the vortex, hundreds of spiritual sharks, formed from pure spiritual energy, surged towards Suì-Fēng and Byakuya Kuchiki, seemingly intent on tearing them apart and devouring them.

”Stay close to me. His spiritual pressure is overwhelming. I must contract Senbonzakura’s defensive radius,” Byakuya Kuchiki stated gravely.

As he spoke, he continuously manipulated the Senbonzakura blades, encasing himself and Suì-Fēng within a protective pink sphere.

Senbonzakura’s all-encompassing protection prevented both the spiritual vortex and the spiritual sharks from penetrating the defense.

However, Byakuya Kuchiki knew this defense was not unbreakable.

Once his spiritual pressure was depleted, the Senbonzakura’s protective barrier would inevitably collapse.

Turning to Suì-Fēng, Byakuya Kuchiki inquired, ”Captain Suì-Fēng, what is your Bankai’s ability?

I cannot sustain this defense indefinitely. We need a decisive countermeasure.”

At the mention of her Bankai, Suì-Fēng, usually stoic and reserved, became visibly hesitant.

Observing Suì-Fēng’s reluctance to answer or unleash her Bankai, Byakuya Kuchiki frowned, ”Captain Suì-Fēng, you haven’t mastered your Bankai, have you?”

After several tense seconds, Suì-Fēng, as if making a resolute decision, stiffened her expression.

”Captain Kuchiki, after you witness my Bankai, you are forbidden from revealing it to anyone.”

Byakuya Kuchiki, slightly surprised, nodded impassively in agreement.

He was now intensely curious about the nature of Suì-Fēng’s Bankai, and the reasons behind its secrecy.

”Bankai: Jakuhō Raikōben!”

As Suì-Fēng chanted the Bankai’s release incantation, a thick, long, cylindrical golden object materialized in her right hand.

Byakuya Kuchiki’s eyes widened in surprise. Suì-Fēng’s Bankai was a massive golden cannon, far exceeding her own height!

The sheer length and weight of this cannon rendered Suì-Fēng almost immobile, leaving her struggling to even support its immense mass.

Due to the stark contrast between this Bankai’s appearance and her usual stealth-oriented fighting style, Suì-Fēng had never used it in a formal battle, and she desperately hoped to keep its form a secret.

Byakuya Kuchiki, however, was immediately impressed.

Such a cumbersome Bankai must have sacrificed other abilities to achieve such devastating power.

In this critical situation, this was precisely the kind of decisive power they needed!
