Yusuke simply smiled enigmatically in response to Kurotsuchi’s question, offering no further explanation. His extensive knowledge of Aizen stemmed largely from Aizen being a time-traveler.

While Yusuke had assigned Miler to infiltrate Aizen’s circle, Miler had only recently joined Aizen’s ranks and hadn’t yet relayed any valuable information.

With keen interest, Kurotsuchi examined each Hollowfied Shinigami, finally selecting Hirako, whose spiritual pressure was the strongest.

He lifted Hirako effortlessly, placing him on the examination table and beginning a detailed analysis using his various devices.

Kurotsuchi’s equipment had a distinctly modern feel, including what appeared to be computer consoles, monitors, and other advanced machinery.

His hands moved rapidly across the control panels, constantly observing the readings on the various instruments. His excitement grew with each passing moment.

”That Aizen is a genius! To devise such a method for enhancing Shinigami spiritual pressure! I’d love to exchange research notes with him someday,” he exclaimed.

After about half an hour of analysis, Kurotsuchi suddenly let out a triumphant roar.

Yusuke, who had been waiting patiently, smiled. ”It seems you’ve made a breakthrough. Are you confident you can help them control their Hollowfication?”

Kurotsuchi chuckled. ”Of course, I’m Kurotsuchi Mayuri! However, this will require considerable further research, and I’ll need your Hōgyoku temporarily. My research is dependent on it.”

Yusuke nodded, smiling. ”No problem. I fully support your research endeavors.”

Although the Hōgyoku was incredibly important, Yusuke wasn’t concerned about lending it to Kurotsuchi.

He had complete faith in his surveillance capabilities, confident that Kurotsuchi wouldn’t be able to conceal any treachery.

He also understood Kurotsuchi’s nature.

Kurotsuchi was a dedicated researcher, and while he sought to enhance his own abilities, it was merely a means to further his research.

If he truly desired a Hōgyoku, he was perfectly capable of creating one himself, and Yusuke wouldn’t have stopped him.

Kurotsuchi’s reaction to Yusuke’s easy agreement was one of surprise.

”Joining you in Hueco Mundo was indeed the best decision I ever made!” Kurotsuchi said with a laugh.

Yusuke smiled. ”And it was the best decision I ever made as well.”

Kurotsuchi’s confidence in refining Aizen’s Hollowfication experiments to the point where Shinigami could control the Hollowfication was something Yusuke hadn’t anticipated.

After all, it was a research project even Aizen had struggled to perfect.

Upon reflection, it wasn’t difficult to understand. Aizen had conducted his research in secret, always wary of the Gotei 13’s attention.

Kurotsuchi, however, had Yusuke’s full support and could work freely in Hueco Mundo. The difference was substantial.

At that moment, Hirako slowly opened his eyes.

As the strongest among the Hollowfied Shinigami, and because Kurotsuchi had used rather stimulating methods during his examination, he was the first to awaken.

”This is Hueco Mundo? You, Uchiha Yusuke, are working with Aizen! And Kurotsuchi, who was missing, was rescued by Aizen as well!”

Hirako, initially disoriented, was shocked to see Yusuke and Kurotsuchi. Recalling the events before his collapse, he immediately assumed they were Aizen’s accomplices.

Watching Hirako struggle to get up from the examination table, Yusuke smiled. ”Captain Hirako, I am not working with Aizen. I have merely been observing his plans, including the recent string of soul disappearances and his Hollowfication experiments on you.”

Hirako’s initial shock subsided slightly upon hearing Yusuke’s words.

He wasn’t necessarily believing Yusuke, but he began analyzing the veracity of his statement.

Looking at his still-unconscious comrades, Hirako said sternly, ”If you’re not Aizen’s accomplice, why did you capture us?”

Yusuke smiled. ”I was trying to save you. You were merely victims of Aizen’s Hollowfication experiments. If your Hollowfication isn’t controlled, you’ll eventually be consumed by the Hollow within.”

Kurotsuchi added with a laugh, ”Captain Hirako, I never expected to meet you under these circumstances. But rest assured, with me, Kurotsuchi, here, you won’t die.”

Through their conversation, Hirako began to believe that Yusuke and Kurotsuchi weren’t working with Aizen. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

However, he knew that Yusuke, who was aware of Aizen’s plans yet remained silent, was undoubtedly not simple; his presence within the Gotei 13 must have a hidden purpose.

Staring intently at Yusuke, Hirako said sternly, ”What are your true intentions in joining the Gotei 13?”

Yusuke smiled. ”You don’t need to know that yet. Just rest here in Hueco Mundo. Kurotsuchi will help you control the Hollow within you.”

Turning to Kurotsuchi, Yusuke said, ”This palace is in your care. Don’t let them cause any trouble. If needed, seek Ulquiorra’s assistance.”

Kurotsuchi cackled. ”Rest assured, no test subject has ever escaped my control.”

Yusuke nodded and turned to leave.

Hearing that they were in Hueco Mundo, Hirako was startled. He shouted after Yusuke, ”How long will you keep us here? What’s happening in the Seireitei?”

Yusuke, his back to Hirako, turned his head slightly. ”Speaking of the Seireitei, I forgot to mention...you can’t go back.”

”What do you mean?” Hirako asked.

Yusuke said slowly, ”The Central 46 has sentenced you all to death as Hollows.”

”Impossible. That’s impossible. You must be lying,” Hirako said, his voice laced with disbelief.

Hirako, having served the Seireitei for over a thousand years, couldn’t believe the Central 46 would treat him and his comrades so cruelly.

”Whether or not I’m telling the truth, you’ll have ample opportunity to verify it soon enough,” Yusuke said calmly.

”Stop! Stop right there, Uchiha Yusuke!”

Hirako, unable to accept the Seireitei’s judgment, tried to stop Yusuke from leaving.

”Aaaaaargh!!!”

Hirako cried out in pain as the spiritual pressure on the Hollow mask covering half his face surged, his intense emotions triggering a Hollow outburst.

Kurotsuchi quickly produced a syringe filled with green liquid and injected it into Hirako’s neck, rapidly administering the contents.

The surge of spiritual pressure subsided, and Hirako’s consciousness faded.

”Jiejiejiejie! Captain Hirako, you are now my test subject,”

Before losing consciousness, Hirako heard Kurotsuchi’s chilling laughter.
