As Chiyo fell under the genjutsu, a space-time vortex appeared beside her, swiftly pulling her in.

Ebizo, witnessing this, immediately grabbed her, attempting to rescue her from the strange vortex.

Unexpectedly, he too was sucked in, unable to save Chiyo.

Seeing Chiyo and Ebizo vanish, the Sunagakure ninjas immediately assumed a defensive posture.

Despite this, most still wore expressions of terror, sweating profusely, clearly lacking confidence in their ability to fight back.

”Where did you take Elder Chiyo and Elder Ebizo?!”

Kumoku, a sensor-type ninja standing behind Ebizo, shouted at Yusuke. However, just as Chiyo had, she fell victim to Kurama Yakumo’s genjutsu and was subsequently pulled into the space-time vortex by the crow using Kamui.

The Sunagakure ninjas were even more terrified. Sometimes death wasn’t the worst; the unknown was far more frightening. They didn’t know what would happen to those sucked into the vortex.

Chiyo, Ebizo, and Kumoku found themselves in the Kamui dimension, staring at each other in disbelief. They hadn’t anticipated Yusuke’s immense power and his mastery of this unsettling space-time ninjutsu.

Yusuke intended to imprison them in Konoha after the meeting.

In the meeting hall, Yusuke offered a chilling smile:

”Rest assured, those three have merely been invited to Konoha for a temporary visit; they will not be harmed. However,”

Yusuke paused, his voice slightly rising, ”Three strikes and you’re out. Any further opposition will not result in such a lenient outcome!”

His gaze fell upon the oldest and highest-ranking Sunagakure council member, excluding Chiyo and Ebizo. Yusuke calmly inquired, ”Do you understand this plan?”

The council member, under Yusuke’s intense gaze, repeatedly nodded, ”Yes, yes, Clan Head Uchiha. We leave everything to your judgment.”

The other Sunagakure council members quickly echoed their agreement, their courage completely shattered by the events that had just transpired.

For many of them, the preservation of their own lives and positions held far greater importance than the question of who ultimately held sway over Sunagakure.

Yusuke nodded in satisfaction, then loudly declared, ”This is the Fifth Kazekage, Pakura, chosen by the Land of Wind’s Daimyō and Konoha. She will now explain the restructuring plan for Sunagakure.”

Pakura, a smirk playing on her lips, removed her veiled hat, her gaze fixated upon the Sunagakure council members who had conspired against her in the past.

The crucial condition she had stipulated when agreeing to serve under Yusuke was his assistance in her quest for revenge against those who had wronged her.

Yusuke had now fully delivered on his promise, leaving the execution of her revenge entirely in her capable hands.

Upon assuming the position of Fifth Kazekage, Pakura, adhering to Yusuke’s instructions, refrained from immediate retribution, instead diligently implementing the established plan to bring Sunagakure under Konoha’s complete control.

Once the situation had stabilized, she systematically dealt with those Sunagakure council members who had orchestrated her betrayal to Kirigakure, ultimately replacing the entire leadership structure with individuals she had personally cultivated or advisors appointed by Konoha.

During this period, Pakura faced considerable resistance from numerous Sunagakure ninjas, enduring several assassination attempts and uprisings.

However, with Yusuke’s Konoha ninja contingent stationed permanently within Sunagakure, these acts of defiance were swiftly and decisively suppressed.

One of the ninjas who attempted to assassinate Pakura was Maki, her former most trusted and favored student.

Within a relatively comfortable prison cell, Pakura, clad in the white robes of the Kazekage, paid a visit to her former student, Maki.

Maki no longer displayed the same dependence and affection she had once shown towards Pakura; instead, her expression was one of profound anger at Pakura’s decision to align herself with Konoha and subjugate Sunagakure.

In response to Maki’s pointed accusations, Pakura recounted the events that had led to her betrayal, detailing the elaborate scheme concocted by the Sunagakure council members to frame her and offer her as a bargaining chip in a clandestine deal with Kirigakure.

Upon hearing Pakura’s account, Maki was initially overcome by a mixture of astonishment and righteous indignation, yet her heart remained unmoved, unable to forgive Pakura’s current actions.

Gazing upon her former teacher, whom she had once held in the highest esteem, Maki retorted with a cold sneer, ”Even granting that you were subjected to treachery at the hands of the council members, I would have no grounds for objection to your pursuit of vengeance.

However, I fail to comprehend why you have chosen to plunge the entirety of Sunagakure into such profound turmoil. Were the other ninjas and villagers of Sunagakure also deserving of such a fate?”

At Maki’s words, a look of profound sadness washed over Pakura’s face. She was acutely aware that her actions would inevitably result in the condemnation of the entire village, and even her most trusted student would be unable to forgive her.

However, unknown to all, Pakura’s actions were driven by an unwavering commitment to the protection of Sunagakure.

When Yusuke had initially approached her to discuss the plan for bringing Sunagakure under Konoha’s control, she had vehemently opposed the notion, even engaging in a physical altercation with Yusuke.

However, upon witnessing the true extent of Yusuke’s power and his unwavering resolve to unify the ninja world, she had been compelled to make a difficult compromise.

”Should you decline the position of Kazekage, I will appoint someone else in your stead. However, I cannot guarantee that my chosen successor will possess the same unwavering devotion to Sunagakure as yourself. The decision, therefore, rests entirely with you,”

Yusuke’s words had left Pakura completely speechless.

After several tumultuous and sleepless nights, Pakura ultimately resolved to accept Yusuke’s plan, assuming the mantle of the Fifth Kazekage, fully aware that her name would forever be etched in the annals of Sunagakure’s history as a figure of profound shame and disgrace.

”Only by assuming the position of Kazekage can I ensure the maximum level of protection for my village.

Even if Uchiha Yusuke were to initiate a war to unify the ninja world, Sunagakure would remain largely unaffected, and its inhabitants would be spared the ravages of conflict,”

Pakura had reasoned, driven by this unwavering conviction.

It was this very conviction that had led Pakura to accompany Yusuke to Sunagakure.

In truth, the desire for personal retribution against those who had wronged her had diminished in significance, overshadowed by her profound and unwavering love for Sunagakure.

Observing Maki, whose countenance still betrayed a simmering resentment, Pakura let out a heavy sigh before departing.

She harbored no intention of revealing the true motivations behind her actions to Maki; for Pakura, bearing the weight of this burden alone was the most appropriate course of action.

As for Maki, Pakura intended to find a discreet opportunity to facilitate her release, urging her to refrain from ever returning to Sunagakure.

However, unbeknownst to Pakura, Kurama Yakumo would visit Maki’s prison cell in the aftermath of Pakura’s departure, revealing the entirety of Pakura’s motivations to Maki.

”Your teacher, in fact, has expended every ounce of her strength to protect those who harbor animosity towards her.

Do you not wish to lend her your support?” Yakumo inquired, her back turned to Maki as she prepared to depart.

At this revelation, Maki found herself experiencing the same profound shock and bewilderment that had once gripped Pakura upon first hearing Yusuke’s proposal.

Early the following morning, Maki informed the prison guards of her desire to request an audience with the Fifth Kazekage.

The resentment she had previously harbored towards her teacher had been entirely supplanted by a profound sense of respect and a resolute determination to assist her.
