Beast Taming: Reincarnated With The Ultimate Bond System!

Chapter 312: Chapter : 312 : Vegia Nightshade V/S Alya Luminari! : 1

The colosseum fell into a charged hush as the next pair stepped onto the cracked arena floor.

Vegia Nightshade stood opposite Alya, her curvaceous hobgoblin figure radiating a quietelegance. Her hair framed a soft, pretty face with striking pink eyes that held a calm, thoughtful intelligence. The academy uniform hugged her voluptuous body — the blouse and skirt accentuating her generous bust, narrow waist, and wide, fertile hips. She took a long, steadying breath, gathering her strength, then raised her hand. With a soft shimmer of mana, her ornate wooden staff materialized in her grip — the twisted, vine-like shaft topped with a glowing pink crystal that pulsed gently with latent power. She held it firmly, her posture respectful yet composed.

Opposite her stood Alya Luminari, daughter of the powerful Luminari noble family — a lineage renowned for their mastery of light magic and long-standing rivalry with the Marinova house.

Alya was a vision of arrogant beauty. Her long, flowing pink hair with striking white streaks cascaded down her back like silk, framing a sharp, haughty face with piercing purple eyes and full, pouty lips curled in a superior smirk. The academy uniform was stretched scandalously tight across her voluptuous figure — the blouse clinging to her massive, heavy breasts and toned midriff, the skirt riding high on her thick, smooth thighs. Every movement caused her curves to shift enticingly, drawing eyes whether she wanted it or not. She carried herself with cocky, self-centered swagger, looking down on Vegia with open disdain, as if the hobgoblin mage was barely worth her time.

Alya flipped her pink-and-white hair over one shoulder, purple eyes narrowing in contempt.

”So, a little hobgoblin mage thinks she can stand on the same stage as me?” she said, voice dripping with smug superiority. ”How amusing. Your kind usually knows their place.”

Vegia remained calm, her pink eyes steady as she held her staff with both hands. Her voice was polite, almost gentle, but there was a subtle edge beneath the respect that made her words sting like velvet-wrapped thorns.

”I am honored to face a member of the esteemed Luminari family,” Vegia replied softly, bowing her head slightly. ”I will do my best not to disappoint you... or waste too much of your valuable time.”

Alya’s smirk faltered for a fraction of a second, her purple eyes flashing with irritation. ”Don’t patronize me, peasant. You think your little tricks will even scratch my light? I’ll end this before you can even cast your first pathetic spell.”

Vegia smiled serenely, her tone still perfectly respectful. ”I would never dream of underestimating a noble of your standing. Please, show me the true power of the Luminari house. I am eager to learn from someone so far above my station.”

The indirect insult landed perfectly. Alya’s cheeks flushed with anger, her massive chest heaving as she clinched her fist at her sides. ”You insolent little—! Fine. I’ll make this quick. Watch closely as I erase you from this arena, you overgrown red servant.”

From the high gallery, the wives watched with a mix of amusement and pride.

Luna leaned forward excitedly. ”Vegia is so calm! She’s talking so nicely, but I can tell she’s annoying Alya on purpose!”

Nyxion giggled, tail swishing. ”She’s being so polite... but every word is like a little poke. I love it!”

Selvara huffed tsundere-style. ”Hmph... she’s handling it well. At least she’s not embarrassing My Lord.”

Aiden smiled quietly, watching Vegia with quiet pride.

On the arena floor, Alya raised her hand, light magic already beginning to glow around her.

Vegia simply held her own staff steady, her expression calm and respectful, waiting for the signal.

Elowen Voss’s voice rang out sharply.

”Begin!”

The duel erupted.

Alya struck first, channeling her family’s light magic into a brilliant beam of searing white energy that lanced toward Vegia like a holy lance.

Vegia moved with surprising grace for her curvaceous figure. She twirled her staff in a smooth arc, summoning a shimmering barrier of emerald mana that absorbed the light beam with a soft *hum*. The impact sent ripples across the barrier, but it held firm.

”How polite of you to start with such a bright opening,” Vegia said calmly, her voice carrying across the arena. ”I shall try to respond in kind... though I fear my humble magic may not shine as brightly as yours.”

Alya’s face twisted in irritation. ”Stop talking like you’re beneath me while you block my attacks! Fight properly, you oversized hobgoblin!”

She unleashed another barrage — multiple smaller light orbs that homed in on Vegia like seeking missiles.

Vegia danced backward with surprising agility, her wide hips swaying as she spun her staff. She released a wave of verdant energy that exploded outward, detonating the light orbs mid-air in a shower of harmless sparks.

”I apologize if my movements seem slow to you,” Vegia continued in that same respectful tone. ”I am merely trying to appreciate the elegance of your magic. It would be rude to rush against such a distinguished opponent.”

The nobles were shouting in frustration now.

”Stop playing around, Luminari!”

”Crush that smug hobgoblin!”

”Show her the power of true nobility!”

The commoners, on the other hand, were cheering louder.

”Nightshade! Keep going!”

”She’s so polite but she’s clearly winning!”

”Make the noble sweat!”

Alya was growing visibly furious, her massive chest heaving as she poured more mana into her staff. ”You think your fake humility fools anyone?! I’ll wipe that respectful smile off your face!”

She thrust her hand forward, summoning a massive radiant spear of pure light that screamed toward Vegia with blinding speed.

Vegia raised her staff, her voice still calm and polite. ”Such a magnificent spell... I shall do my best to meet it with respect.”

She released a focused burst of emerald energy that collided with the light spear. The explosion lit up the entire arena, forcing many spectators to shield their eyes.

When the light cleared, Vegia stood unharmed, her uniform slightly singed but her posture still perfectly composed.

”I hope that wasn’t too disappointing,” she said gently. ”I tried to match your brilliance as best I could.”

Alya was breathing hard now, sweat glistening on her skin, her uniform clinging even more tightly to her voluptuous curves. ”You... you insolent—!”

Suddenly Alya moved with blinding speed — literally. In a flash of white light, she vanished and reappeared behind Vegia, her hand glowing with concentrated light as she swung a devastating arc of pure radiance.

Vegia barely had time to react. She spun, summoning a quick emerald barrier, but the light-infused strike cracked it and sent her stumbling forward. The impact left a burning line across her shoulder, her uniform singed.

Alya reappeared in front of her, smirking arrogantly. ”Too slow, hobgoblin. Light is faster than thought itself. You can’t even see me coming.”

Vegia steadied herself, pink eyes narrowing slightly. She was surprised — Alya’s speed was on another level. But she remained calm.

”I see,” Vegia said respectfully. ”Your family’s light magic is truly impressive. Allow me to adjust.”

She raised her staff high. A soft pink glow enveloped her eyes — enhanced vision magic. The world slowed in her perception. Alya’s movements, once invisible blurs of light, now appeared as clear, traceable streaks.

Alya vanished again in a burst of light, reappearing behind Vegia with another radiant slash from her glowing hand.

This time, Vegia was ready.

This time, Vegia was ready.

She spun with surprising speed, her staff meeting the edge of Alya’s light blade in a resounding clash. The impact sent sparks flying and forced Alya to leap back, purple eyes widening in shock.

The entire colosseum gasped.

Even the nobles fell silent for a moment.

Alya landed, breathing harder. ”How... how did you—?”

Vegia smiled politely. ”I simply adjusted my sight to match your brilliance. It would be rude not to keep up with such a distinguished opponent.”

Alya’s face twisted in rage. ”You dare mock me?!”

She disappeared again in a flash of light, appearing from multiple directions at once — a barrage of afterimages attacking from all sides with razor-sharp strikes of condensed light from her bare hands.

Vegia stood still for a heartbeat, then moved.

Her staff spun in a wide circle, creating a dome of emerald barriers that blocked every strike. She followed up with a burst of flame magic — a wall of roaring fire that forced Alya to retreat.

”Not bad,” Vegia said calmly. ”But your speed is impressive. Allow me to show you something in return.”

She raised her staff high. Magic circles glowed above her head, spinning rapidly.

”Divine Flame!”

Blazing fire rained from the sky like meteors, each one guided by Vegia’s will. The entire arena lit up with orange and gold light as the flames descended in a devastating barrage.

Alya moved at the speed of light, dodging between the falling fire with incredible grace. But a few strikes grazed her — singeing her uniform and leaving red marks on her thick thighs and toned midriff.

She reappeared, breathing hard, uniform clinging even more tightly to her sweaty, voluptuous body.

”You... you dare use such crude fire against Luminari light?!” Alya snarled, clearly rattled.

Vegia remained calm, staff glowing. ”It is merely one of my humble spells. I hope it was not too disappointing.”

The nobles were shouting in desperation.

”End this, Luminari!”

”Don’t let that hobgoblin humiliate you!”

The commoners cheered louder.

”Nightshade! Keep going!”

”She’s so polite but she’s clearly stronger!”

The duel raged on.

Alya vanished again, reappearing behind Vegia with a point-blank light blast fired from her open palm.

Vegia turned just in time, summoning a thunderbolt from her staff that met the light blast head-on. The explosion shook the arena, forcing both girls to leap back.

Vegia countered with a series of thunderbolts and flame lances, mixing her magic seamlessly. Alya dodged at light speed, but Vegia’s enhanced vision kept up, predicting her movements and forcing her to expend more mana.

Alya was clearly tiring, her massive chest heaving, sweat pouring down her body, uniform almost completely see-through in places. Her arrogant smirk had faded into a frustrated scowl.

Vegia, on the other hand, remained calm and composed, her curvaceous figure moving with surprising agility as she continued her respectful, measured assault.

The fight showed no signs of ending soon.

The crowd watched in rapt attention, the duel far from over.
