Beast Taming: Reincarnated With The Ultimate Bond System!

Chapter 301: Chapter : 301 : Selvara Nightshade V/S Nina Ignis! : 1

The arena floor still glistened with the remnants of the previous battle’s destruction when the next pair stepped forward.

Selvara Nightshade stood on the left side, arms folded tightly beneath her chest, pushing her already generous breasts upward in a way that made the crimson-and-gold uniform strain against her curves. Her white hair framed her sharp, beautiful face like moonlight on snow, and her pale eyes regarded her opponent with cool, blunt indifference. Her wings were half-folded behind her, the picture of demonic elegance and quiet menace.

Opposite her stood Nina Ignis.

The second daughter of the Ignis family moved with the cocky, tomboyish swagger of someone who had never lost and never expected to. Her fiery red hair was wild and untamed, falling in messy waves down her back and framing a face that was equal parts cheerful and teasing. Golden eyes sparkled with mischievous energy, and her full lips were curled into a bright, happy-go-lucky grin that showed just a hint of fang. The red academy uniform clung to her body like it was made for sin—stretched obscenely tight across her heavy breasts. The fabric pulling taut over her wide, fertile hips and thick, powerful thighs. The pleated skirt rode high, revealing the smooth skin of her legs, and the way she carried herself made every inch of her body scream raw, teasing confidence.

Nina cracked her knuckles, golden eyes locking onto Selvara with playful arrogance.

”Well, well... look at you,” she said, voice bright and teasing, carrying easily across the arena. ”A real demon in the flesh. Cute wings, by the way. Think they’ll burn as nicely as the rest of you?”

Selvara didn’t rise to the bait. She simply unfolded her arms, letting them rest at her sides, and stared back with blunt, unimpressed eyes.

The nobles erupted first—cheering wildly for one of their own.

”DESTROY THE DEMON!”

”SHOW THAT FILTH WHAT A TRUE NOBLE CAN DO!”

”IGNIS! IGNIS!”

The commoners were more conflicted. Whispers rippled through their section like a nervous tide.

”Should we even cheer for a demon...?”

”She’s one of Nightshade’s wives... maybe she’s not that bad...”

”If a noble loses, we swallow our pride and cheer for the demon. Simple as that.”

Elowen Voss’s voice rang out again, bright but laced with clear disdain when she turned toward Selvara.

”On one side we have the second daughter of the Ignis family, Nina Ignis!”

The nobles roared louder.

Elowen’s gaze slid to Selvara, her lip curling slightly.

”And on the other... Selvara Nightshade. A cursed demon whom we all mutually hate.”

The words hung in the air like poison.

A dagger flew from the highest gallery—silent, deadly, gleaming as it sliced through the air. It missed Elowen’s neck by a single inch, embedding deep into the stone wall of the commentator’s box with a sharp thunk, leaving a long, jagged cut in the concrete. The blade shimmered once, then vanished into motes of black light.

The entire colosseum fell deathly silent.

Every head turned toward the highest gallery.

Aiden sat there, expression cold and pissed, one hand still slightly extended from the throw. His blue eyes burned with quiet fury. No one dared speak. Even Elowen knew better than to comment. She swallowed hard and stepped back slightly.

The spectators slowly turned their attention back to the stage.

Selvara smirked—small, satisfied, dangerous.

Mira Hale’s voice finally broke the tension, steady and professional.

”Duel 20: Selvara Nightshade versus Nina Ignis. Start!”

The moment the words left her lips, the air between the two women ignited.

Nina Ignis grinned—wide, cocky, and full of that happy-go-lucky fire. Lightning-like arcs of flame already danced around her bare fists, blue-white at the core but burning a fierce orange at the edges. She bounced lightly on her toes, rolling her shoulders as if this was just another fun game.

”Finally!” Nina called out cheerfully, voice carrying across the open arena. ”I was starting to think I’d have to wait all day to play with a real demon. Hey, Demon girl...”

She pointed one flaming finger toward the highest gallery, where the faint scar from Aiden’s earlier dagger still marked the stone wall near Elowen.

”Speaking of burning... your hubby almost turned the announcer into a kebab earlier. That was hot. Literally. You two have matching tempers or something?”

Selvara’s pale eyes narrowed, wings half-flared in irritation. She flexed her fingers, and demonic mana surged around her hands. Two Tekko-Kagi manifested—twin claw weapons forged from her own essence. The metal claws gleamed wickedly, curved and razor-sharp, extending from her knuckles like the talons of a predator. They fit her perfectly, as if they had always been part of her body.

She growled low, voice rough and angry.

”Keep talking, firebug. I’ll rip that smug grin off your face before you finish your next sentence.”

Nina laughed—bright, teasing, completely unbothered.

”Ohhh, feisty! I like that. Most demons just glare and grunt. You actually talk back. This is gonna be fun!”

She exploded forward without warning—lightning-fast, boots cracking the concrete. Her fists ignited into roaring flames as she threw a straight, high-level fire punch straight at Selvara’s chest. The air screamed as the strike left a trail of superheated orange fire in its wake.

Selvara didn’t retreat.

She met the punch head-on, twin Tekko-Kagi slashing upward in a vicious cross. The claws met flame with a deafening clang—sparks and embers exploding outward like fireworks. The force of the clash sent a shockwave rippling across the arena floor, cracking the stone beneath their feet.

Nina grinned wider, eyes sparkling with delight.

”Not bad! You’re stronger than you look, demon girl!”

She spun mid-motion, launching a flaming roundhouse kick aimed at Selvara’s head. The kick left a blazing arc of fire hanging in the air.

Selvara ducked under it with a growl, then countered with a brutal upward slash of her right Tekko-Kagi. The claws raked across Nina’s side—drawing three shallow, bloody lines through the red uniform and across the soft skin beneath. Nina hissed in pain but laughed through it, twisting away and landing lightly on her feet.

”Ow! That actually stung! You’re not playing around, huh?”

Selvara’s wings twitched angrily behind her.

”Shut up and fight,” she snarled, voice low and venomous. ”I don’t have time for your chatter.”

Nina bounced on her toes, flames roaring higher around her fists.

”But talking is half the fun! Come on, demon girl—tell me, does your hubby like it when you get all growly like that? Bet he does. Bet he rewards you real nice after you tear someone apart.”

Selvara’s cheeks flushed with anger. She lunged forward—claws extended—slashing in a rapid series of strikes that forced Nina to dodge and weave.

”Keep his name out of your mouth!” Selvara growled, voice rising with fury.

Nina laughed again—bright and teasing—as she ducked under another claw strike and countered with a flaming uppercut that grazed Selvara’s shoulder. The fire singed the edge of Selvara’s uniform, leaving a smoking black mark on her pale skin.

”Touchy! Guess I hit a nerve. Or maybe you just don’t like sharing? Don’t worry, I’m not trying to steal him... yet.”

Selvara’s eyes flashed with pure rage. She slammed her claws together, demonic mana surging. The Tekko-Kagi glowed brighter—edges sharpening further as she poured more power into them.

”You’re dead.”

She charged again—faster this time—claws slashing in a whirlwind of strikes. Nina blocked with flaming gauntlets, but the sheer force of Selvara’s blows pushed her back step by step, each impact sending showers of sparks and embers flying. Nina’s boots left long skid marks in the stone as she was driven backward.

The crowd was losing their minds—commoners chanting Selvara’s name, nobles shouting for Nina to turn it around.

Nina grinned through the pressure, golden eyes sparkling with pure enjoyment.

”Damn, you’re strong! I love it! This is the best fight I’ve had in months!”

She twisted suddenly, launching a spinning kick wrapped in a roaring pillar of fire. The kick connected with Selvara’s crossed arms—flames exploding outward in a blinding burst.

Selvara skidded back several meters, wings flaring to steady herself. A thin burn mark now ran across her forearms, but her expression was pure fury.

”You talk too much,” she snarled again, voice rough.

Nina laughed—breathless but delighted—flames roaring higher around her body.

”And you’re too serious! Loosen up, demon girl! We’re just having fun!”

She thrust both palms forward. A massive torrent of advanced fire magic erupted—wide as a river, roaring like an inferno—aimed to engulf Selvara completely.

Selvara planted her feet. Her twin Tekko-Kagi glowed as she slashed them downward in a powerful X-motion.

Demonic mana clashed with fire.

The collision was cataclysmic.

A deafening boom rolled through the colosseum. Flames exploded outward in a violent storm, cracking the arena floor in a wide circle around them. When the smoke and fire cleared, Selvara stood untouched—her claws still glowing, wings spread wide, eyes burning with cold anger.

Nina staggered back a step—uniform scorched at the edges, breathing harder now—but her grin never faded.

”Wow... you really are on another level,” she admitted cheerfully. ”But I’m not done yet!”

She charged again, fists blazing.

Selvara met her head-on, claws flashing.

The fight intensified—each clash louder, each exchange faster. Nina’s fire magic was advanced, beautiful, and deadly... but it was clear to everyone watching that she was nowhere near Selvara’s level. Every punch, every flame attack was met with overwhelming demonic power. Selvara’s Tekko-Kagi tore through fire constructs like paper. Her speed and raw strength forced Nina to stay on the defensive, dodging and weaving while Selvara pressed forward relentlessly.

The nobles grew quieter.

The commoners grew louder.

And in the center of it all, Selvara fought with cold, furious efficiency—every growl and angry retort aimed at silencing Nina’s endless teasing.

The match was far from over.

But the outcome was already becoming painfully obvious.

Selvara was simply too strong.
