My Youth Began With Him

“Who asks for their own presents, aren’t you ashamed of yourself?” Qin Chu deliberately laughed.

“I don’t care, hurry up and give me my present.” This was the first time Huo Mian acted like a spoiled little girl. It was like seven years ago when she was irresponsibly spoiled by Qin Chu, despite her acting unreasonably.

“Okay, I’ll give it to you after dinner.”

“Then I’ll eat faster.” After speaking, Huo Mian couldn’t wait to begin eating.

After a seafood feast, Qin Chu drove her to a place.

It was a place she had never been to before…

“Where are we going?” Looking at the unfamiliar route, Huo Mian questioned.

“I’m getting your birthday present,” Qin Chu mysteriously said.

“Stop joking, did you hide my present in a hole hidden in the mountains ?” Looking at the car head towards South Hill, Huo Mian jokingly asked.

“Sounds about right.”

“You’re so perverted…”

The two joked on the way and finally arrived at their destination after forty minutes.

It was really the South Hill area, it was said that this area was to be developed by the government in the future since it was home to some natural hot springs.

Around it was a golf course, a resort, and the biggest wetlands park. But most importantly, the mountain faced the ocean. If one was standing on the mountain, they could look down on the breathtaking night view of the bay and the city.

A while ago, rumor had it that GK bought the area already…

Seeing how mysterious Qin Chu was being, Huo Mian felt like the rumors were most likely true.

“The rumors were true, right?”

“What rumors?” After parking the car, Qin Chu pulled Huo Mian off the car by her hand.

“That GK bought the rights to develop South Hill.”

“Mhm, my father bought the land ten years ago, but the government just started developing it in the last two years, hoping for it to become the most prosperous district other than downtown.”

“The scenery is decent, and aside from the fact that it’s really far away from the city, everything else is great.” Huo Mian nodded.

The corners of Qin Chu’s mouth raised, and he pulled Huo Mian up the hill by her hand…

The mountain path was smooth and lit by bright street lights that were shaped like water drops. It was very romantic.

“Are we going to the top of the mountain?”

“Mhm.”

“Then why don’t we drive, it’ll be tiring if we walk.” Huo Mian was confused.

“You have to slowly feel things with your heart, you can’t experience it with driving,” Qin Chu said profoundly…

“Eh, if you told me that we’ll be mountain climbing earlier, I would’ve changed my shoes.” Huo Mian woefully looked at at her heels, regretting not wearing running shoes.

Qin Chu walked up a few steps and suddenly knelt down. He looked back at Huo Mian and said, “Honey, get on.”

“Are you going to give me a piggyback ride?”

“Yup…”

“Ha… But I’m really heavy,” Huo Mian laughed.

“I’ll be able to carry you no matter how heavy you are. Get on.”

Qin Chu’s persistence moved Huo Mian. She slowly walked over and put her arms around Qin Chu’s broad back.

She held onto Qin Chu’s neck with her hands and he slowly rose up.

He walked slowly, and Huo Mian suddenly felt like this was the most peaceful and beautiful moment in the past seven years.

It was just the two of them. It was late night, and they were the only ones walking quietly on the mountain road, lit only by street lamps.

Qin Chu walked up step by step…U.pdated b.y

At that precise moment, Huo Mian felt the urge to sing.

Then, she actually did…

She stuck her head tightly to Qin Chu’s back, looking at the beautiful night sky and lightly sang.

“It can all be true, if you say, I’ll believe you because I have complete faith in you.

The delicate love, with its blanket-like heaviness and the sense of security under the sun.

We share a soup, two spoons in a bowl, keeping warm with our heart together.

I want to say how great you are, even if you don’t know it yourself. You’re sincerely good to me without asking for anything in return.

If you love someone, you want the best for her. The warmth comes from your heart, you’re more important than yourself…”

After Huo Mian finished singing, she thought Qin Chu would be moved, but all he said was, “Honey, you weren’t off tune today…”
