336: Section 336”Boss, now that the League of Legends event has ended, the number of players will likely continue to decline for a while. Today’s player count is already several million less than yesterday.”

”This number should continue to decrease for some time.”

”Ultimately, this number should stabilize at around three million.”

Zhang Fan was quite satisfied with this result.

Because this number had already surpassed Dota’s player count in Yan Country.

But listening to this, Wang Mo shook his head.

”You still underestimate League of Legends too much.”

Listening to this, Zhang Fan was stunned.

”Then, Boss, what do you think?”

”After the large-scale promotion during its initial open beta, how many loyal players can League of Legends attract in the early stage?”

Wang Mo held up a finger.

”One million?” Zhang Fan instinctively blurted out.

But Wang Mo chuckled softly.

”Ten million!”

Chapter 261: Initial Performance Prediction for League, An Impossible Miracle.

Wang Mo’s voice slowly echoed in the office.

And the moment he heard this, Zhang Fan froze in place.

He looked at Wang Mo with an expression of disbelief.

”Boss.”

”Are you serious?”

”For PC games, the monthly active player count for most games is 2.5 times the daily active count. The same goes for Dota; Dota currently has five million daily active players globally, with monthly active players fluctuating around 12.5 million.”

”Which means...”

Zhang Fan swallowed, looking at Wang Mo.

”If, in the early stage, League of Legends can have ten million daily active players, then the monthly active player count would be 25 million, and our registered player count is only just over 30 million now.”

”Could it be that the majority of these 30-plus million registered players will actually stay in League of Legends? How is that even possible?”

Because this ratio was simply too exaggerated.

So, even though Wang Mo himself said it, Zhang Fan still found it hard to believe.

After all, for a PC game that had only been in open beta for a little over ten days, having 25 million monthly active players in Yan Country alone could no longer be called a miracle; it was truly an impossible event, something they only dared to dream of while sleeping.

And now.

Wang Mo was saying that the data they could only imagine in their dreams would actually appear for this game!

That’s why Zhang Fan’s expression was so surprised.

Wang Mo, on the other hand, smiled noncommittally.

”You’ll know when the time comes.”

Wang Mo glanced at the calendar on the wall.

”Currently, the daily player count for League drops by several million on average. In your estimation, it will only stop when the daily active count drops to around three million, and then it will slowly start to rise again.”

”But when this number drops to ten million, it will actually stop.”

Wang Mo stood up and patted Zhang Fan’s shoulder.

”This won’t take many days.”

”The potential of League of Legends is only just beginning to show.”

In the period that followed.

Because the large-scale promotional event for League of Legends had ended, there were significantly fewer League of Legends advertisements on major social platforms and in offline internet cafes.

Since the WeChat Linkage activity had also been canceled, many new users who wanted to try the game because of Red Envelopes also slowed their pace.

But even under these circumstances.

League of Legends’ market share in internet cafes across the country continued to increase.

When the official promotion ended, it did not mean that the game’s spread stopped.

Across the country, countless college students took over the baton of promoting and publicizing League of Legends. Word-of-mouth player-driven promotion is the biggest channel for a game’s publicity and promotion.

When all the friends around a PC gamer are playing a certain game, that person is very likely to also become a loyal player of that game.

Because of the inherent quality of League of Legends itself.

It was able to attract other gamers who came through social circles.

As League of Legends began to make great strides in Yan Country due to Junzi Group’s promotion, other overseas servers for League of Legends also launched simultaneously.

Although in these countries.

League of Legends had not yet undergone large-scale publicity and promotion.

However, because Junzi Group itself had connections with other overseas internet cafe chains, many overseas internet cafes also had League of Legends pre-installed, just waiting for Junzi Group to turn its attention to overseas promotion.

However.

Although League of Legends in overseas markets had not yet become widely known to the public.

Many groups of gamers who love the MOBA genre had more or less come into contact with this game.

In other overseas servers, the first batch of loyal League of Legends players had basically already formed.

Among them.

Many so-called genius players had already joined.

These players.

Will be important players in the subsequent League of Legends esports industry.

In Korea.

In an internet cafe.

A young man with a broccoli-like hairstyle was idly looking through the various games in the game menu. Feeling tired of the games he had been playing, he was searching for new games.

With a movement of the mouse.

Soon.

A brand new game appeared before him.

”Net cafe attendant, what kind of game is this League of Legends?”

He asked the net cafe attendant not far away.

And the attendant responded directly.

”Oh, this game was developed in Yan Country. It just launched, and it seems to be a MOBA game.”

Upon hearing this.

The person nodded, then slowly clicked open the game in front of him.

He had played Dota before, but Dota hadn’t really piqued his interest.

After deciding to try this game, he put his backpack aside. The tag on his backpack bore his name, Lee Hyuk.

When registering for the game, he slowly entered his nickname, Faker.

At the same time.

Just on the other side of the internet cafe.

Several teenagers of similar age had also just discovered this game called League of Legends.

Their eyes shining, they were fully focused on the game screen in front of them.

”This game is good, much more fun than Dota. How come I haven’t seen anyone playing it?”

”It is indeed a good game, but it has no promotion. If Old Jiang hadn’t told us, we wouldn’t have known a new MOBA game came out.”

”Old Jiang, can you kill slower? We haven’t even finished our laning phase, how did you already stomp top lane?”

The person they called Old Jiang took off his headphones and smiled shyly at them.

”The opponents are a bit weak, their skills are average.”

On the screen, Old Jiang’s player nickname was TheShy.

At the same time.
