You Were Told to Design Software, But You Created Tiktok?!

189: Section 189“Why is it also related to Penguin Group?”

Hearing this, everyone’s gaze once again turned to General Manager Liu Pin.

Upon seeing this,

General Manager Ma immediately said,

“No need.”

“Just speak.”

“Since this matter is also related to Penguin Group, there’s no need for him to leave.”

“Anyway, he just said he already knows why you are looking for me.”

Upon hearing this,

a Blue Wallet department executive nodded: “Alright.”

“Quickly, tell me what happened.”

General Manager Ma asked.

“Just now, WeChat released an update.”

“And this update includes.....”

The person had just opened his mouth, but before he could finish his sentence,

General Manager Ma immediately interrupted him.

“What does WeChat’s update have to do with our Ali Group?”

“Is this what you mean by something happened?”

“No matter what WeChat updated, it’s Penguin Group’s business. Why are you so anxious?”

As soon as General Manager Ma finished speaking,

General Manager Liu Pin, who was beside him, shook his head and said,

“General Manager Ma,”

“You should listen to them finish first.”

“This matter,”

“is very significant to Ali Group.”

Upon hearing this,

General Manager Ma turned his head to look at the others.

The Blue Wallet department executive continued to speak.

And his next sentence directly made General Manager Ma freeze in place, his expression solidifying.

“In this WeChat update, online payment and wallet functions have been launched!”

Hearing this,

General Manager Ma was stunned for a few seconds.

“What did you say?”

He subconsciously asked back, somewhat doubting if he had misheard. How could a chat application add an online payment function inside?

And this time, before the Blue Wallet department executive could answer, General Manager Liu Pin’s voice rang out from the side.

“General Manager Ma, you didn’t mishear. I just received the news as well.”

“This WeChat update has launched online payment and wallet functions, and it already has many built-in online payment add-on features.”

“WeChat can now do many things that Blue Wallet can also do.”

Hearing this, General Manager Ma’s face was slowly replaced by shock.

He had heard before that WeChat would launch a major update, but he never expected that this update would directly impact their Ali Group.

“I know this is hard to believe.”

General Manager Liu Pin’s voice continued to ring out.

“But it is indeed true. WeChat is far crazier than we imagined.”

The Blue Wallet executive beside him added,

“And now, WeChat has already begun to lay out offline scan-to-pay.”

“Colleagues who went out earlier have already discovered WeChat’s ground team starting to promote WeChat’s collection codes in various stores, and WeChat Wallet also has a function to apply for collection codes.”

“This time, WeChat is not just a small-scale move, but it has truly extended its hand into the field of online payment.”

Upon hearing this,

General Manager Ma couldn’t help but let out a long breath and sat down on the chair behind him.

The surprise on his face had not completely faded.

“How dare he?”

General Manager Ma couldn’t help but murmur.

“Just because he has 100 million active users, he wants to launch online payment and wallet functions?”

“This WeChat hasn’t even developed to the point where it can threaten QQ, and it’s already moving against Blue Wallet.”

“This Wang Mo is truly a madman.”

General Manager Ma ultimately came to the same conclusion as General Manager Ma.

An ordinary company, to challenge either QQ or Blue Wallet, would need to summon immense courage, let alone challenging both software simultaneously.

And these two software are both the cornerstones of Ali Group and Penguin Group.

To simultaneously seize a market share in these two areas, besides a madman, no one would dare to do this.

“General Manager Ma, this might not be a whim of WeChat.”

“Wang Mo said before that WeChat would be a software capable of changing the internet landscape of Yan Country. Previously, within our Penguin Group, we always found this statement very strange; a mere chat application couldn’t achieve that.”

“But now I understand.”

“Perhaps from the very beginning, in the initial design of WeChat, Wang Mo’s intention was for this software to also have online payment functions.”

“What you said before, General Manager Ma, that Wang Mo wouldn’t dare to touch Blue Wallet, now sounds somewhat like a joke.”

General Manager Liu Pin’s voice echoed in the conference room.

And hearing this, General Manager Ma’s expression couldn’t help but change.

He also hadn’t expected it.

Just a few minutes after he mocked QQ, WeChat’s actions directly slapped him in the face.

What about not daring to touch Blue Wallet? WeChat’s initial thought was to challenge the foundational software of both groups simultaneously.

At the same time,

in the room,

General Manager Liu Pin’s voice continued to ring out.

“It seems.”

“This time, WeChat will become our common opponent.”

While Penguin Group and Ali Group were both shocked by this WeChat update,

outside,

when WeChat’s update content was exposed, it also caused a huge uproar.

No one had expected it.

WeChat’s so-called major update was actually the addition of online payment and wallet functions to WeChat.

You know,

for so many years,

Blue Wallet’s position in the online payment field has never been shaken even a little.

And now,

WeChat not only snatched a territory from QQ but also moved against Blue Wallet.

The sensation this caused in the outside world was incredibly exaggerated.

Many internet practitioners, after seeing this WeChat update, could only describe WeChat’s actions with two words: crazy.

And the specific content of the WeChat update immediately rushed to the top of the hot searches.

In a very short time, it attracted over a million comments.

“Holy cow, is this for real? WeChat added an online wallet? This is trying to move against Blue Wallet.”
