Global Lords: I Have Information System

Everything that needs to be done has been arranged more or less.

The next step is to return to the territory and arrange for routine rotational defense.

Before that, Zong Shen still needs to thoroughly explore the Griffin’s Nest.

After all, this nest occupies the entire cliff top, with a land area of hundreds of thousands of square meters.

Being a special building in the wild, there should be some things worth exploring.

Moreover, in the Griffin’s Nest, Zong Shen also saw a pile of gemstones as high as a mountain.

These gemstones vary in size and color.

Among them, there should be quite a few magic gemstones with elemental magic power.

Because he was sitting on Eagle’s back on patrol, coupled with the dim light inside the nest.

He couldn’t inspect them closely, and compared to the gemstones at hand, he was more interested in the rumors about these gemstones, which say that Griffins love to collect gemstones and build nests near gemstone mines.

The first piece of news has been proven true on the spot; if the second is also true, then Zong Shen would strike it rich.

”Are the rumors true?”

”Is there really a gemstone mine nearby?”

(In the valley 327 kilometers north of here, there is a gemstone mine that has not undergone large-scale mining, with moderate reserves

Some burrowing race resides there, yet to be discovered by humans

Atop the cliffs of a neutral giant city named Jianya Fortress, there is the largest Griffin’s Nest so far

It is also known as Griffin City, and it is the most important source of Griffin Riding Beasts for several major human kingdoms on the continent

Within a thousand kilometers of Jianya Fortress, there are twenty-nine small gemstone mines, thirteen medium-sized ones, five large gemstone mines, and two extra-large ones)

”There really are gemstone mines!”

Zong Shen was overjoyed, unable to restrain a shout.

Fortunately, these Griffins do not understand too complicated human vocabulary.

Feeling Zong Shen’s joy, Eagle also let out a loud screech.

Although it had been beaten half to death by Zong Shen before being tamed and only had a loyalty of 60 points after taming, it had at least submitted.

This is a process of qualitative change, even if it still has some defiance in its heart, it will gradually assume the role.

”Eagle, take me there!”

Zong Shen pointed to the place in the Griffin’s Nest where the gemstones were piled.

Eagle stretched its neck, without hesitation, took Zong Shen over.

Griffins have a habit of collecting gemstones, without any practical use or purpose; it’s merely a hobby in their nature.

These creatures don’t love money like the Greedy Handsome Guy.

Including the gemstones piled in the nest, they were also brought back out of boredom from the gemstone mines.

With their solid beaks, Griffins can easily peck open the mountain rock and extract the gemstones sealed within the rock walls, as seen by the remaining bits of stone skin clinging to these gemstones.

Storing gemstone mines in their nest is also greatly beneficial to them.

In this world, there are two kinds of gemstones: the first kind is ordinary ornamental gemstones, which do not contain magic elements.

The second kind is magic gemstones, which contain a large amount of elemental magic power inside.

They are a common type of magic item, often used to create magical curiosities, jewelry equipment, and spellcasting items.

Things like magic staffs, magic wands, and spellcasting books are such.

Even crushed gemstones have value, as they can be ground into gemstone powder.

This powder is even more suitable for engraving magic patterns than secret silver.

Depending on the different magic attributes, the color and appearance of the corresponding magic gemstones are also different.

They generally match the color displayed by those magic attributes.

For example, red often represents flame, ochre represents the earth element, golden yellow represents the gold element, azure represents the thunder element, and grayish-purple represents arcane magic. Such cases can almost be applied to each attribute.

Eagle obediently carried him to the side of the gemstone pile.

Zong Shen agilely leaped from its back and jumped to the ground.

”Crack...”

As soon as he landed, his feet stepped onto a thick pile of bones.

The bones cracked, whether they were animal or human.

Almost the entire ground of the Griffin’s Nest is covered with all kinds of bones.

It’s unknown how long these bones have been laid here; most of them are already loose, with bone fragments flying everywhere with each step.

This bone carpet adds a terrifying touch to the Griffin’s Nest.

However, Zong Shen was not focused on these; all his attention was on the pile of gemstones.

As he walked quickly forward, Eagle had already flapped its wings to fly to one side of the gemstone pile.

Treating it like a sofa, rubbing its massive body against the gemstones, seemingly enjoying it immensely.

As it leaned against the gemstone pile, the light blue Wind Magic Gemstones interspersed among them began to manifest; a thick concentration of Wind Spirit magic power enveloped Eagle like a mist.

Earlier, to deter those second-in-command Griffins, Eagle had not hesitated to unleash a wave of Wind Blade Breath, consuming a lot of its magic power, which it could now replenish.

As for gemstones from other elements, they had no reaction, as Griffins belong to the wind element magical beasts.

They are not attracted or resonant with other elements, and Zong Shen watched with interest.

He discovered that Griffins’ love for collecting gemstones seems to be more than just a hobby.

The Wind Spirit Gemstones in these gemstones should help enhance the Griffins’ power.

This is a subtle, long-term process, but it’s all his speculation for now.
