Global Lords: I Have Information System

The wound was blackened, a result of the poison.

This made the Griffin Beasts somewhat sluggish in their movements. They charged from one side, either spewing Wind Blades or engaging the solitary Scorpion-tailed Tiger in brutal combat with their claws and beaks.

Alleviating the pressure on Zong Shen and his allies.

Meanwhile, Zong Shen, who was standing his ground, finally made his move.

Steel Spike·Claw was truly cowardly, showing no trace of ferocity!

Thus, he decided to take the initiative, considering that this creature was fairly average among Overlord-level monsters, which indirectly implied the Scorpion-tailed Tiger tribe’s combat power was no match for the Griffins.

Otherwise, they wouldn’t have needed to go through so much trouble to set up an ambush to outnumber their foes.

The duration of the Levitation Technique was limited, and besides the Floating Ring, he only had the Levitation Technique Rune and the Level 1 Levitation Technique he’d learned from a Skill Book.

He wielded the Dragon-Slaying Heavy Sword and launched into melee combat.

He charged at Steel Spike·Claw, whose size was many times his own.

This move was clearly laced with contempt and taunt, which aroused the beastly nature of Steel Spike·Claw.

It let out a gigantic roar, revealing a dark red mouth.

The gust whipped up by the roar rushed towards him like a violent gale, making Zong Shen’s levitating body sway unsteadily.

The sky was not his territory, and the hindrance caused by flying severely affected his mobility.

This seemed to give Steel Spike·Claw considerable confidence as it aggressively launched a Swift Pounce Kill.

Its wings folded back, shooting forward like a Sharp Arrow.

Given its size, a distance of over a dozen meters vanished in an instant.

It opened its massive mouth, ready to deliver a Tearing Bite to Zong Shen.

Judging by their size difference, if Zong Shen got bitten, even with his strength and equipment, he wouldn’t come away unscathed.

Yet, Zong Shen remained unafraid, dual-wielding the Dragon-Slaying Heavy Sword, he poised it against its massive head. At the moment of contact, he drew the sword and delivered a heavy slashing strike.

A massive gap, about a meter long, appeared on Steel Spike·Claw’s forehead.

What followed was a shrill scream.

[-255]

The Dragon-Slaying Heavy Sword lodged in its wound, and Zong Shen was knocked dozens of meters away by the impact, suffering Blunt Damage in the process.

[-39]

This amount of damage was negligible compared to Zong Shen’s Life Value Limit, which reached 1447 points.

It was all due to the floating that affected his agility; otherwise, this creature wouldn’t have even grazed him.

Zong Shen steadied himself, a mysterious smile appearing on his face beneath his Battle Helmet.

The previous encounter had allowed him to gauge the reality of Steel Spike·Claw.

After being repaired, the Dragon-Slaying Sword’s power had greatly increased, allowing it to deal over two hundred points of Slashing Damage even against an Overlord-level beast with sixty Armor points.

Zong Shen’s hand flicked, retrieving the Acid-Eroded Shadow Dagger, activating the Fallen Shadow skill to target the Scorpion-tailed Tiger Leader, binding its shadow and reducing its Action Power, immediately controlling the Levitation Technique to fly toward it.

Although its forehead was still impaled with the Heavy Sword, Steel Spike·Claw showed a human-like expression of fear.

The greatsword had already cut through its hide and lodged into the thick, solid cranium.

Firmly stuck within the bone, it couldn’t shake the Dragon-Slaying Heavy Sword loose even with its strongest shakes.

”Don’t be afraid, kitty, I’m here to help you.”

Zong Shen swiftly approached, his voice not loud yet overshadowing the wind noise, causing the short fur of the Scorpion-tailed Tiger Leader to stand on end.

The sense of impending danger in its heart grew stronger, wanting to flee but moving sluggishly.

The Binding Effect of Fallen Shadow was no joke; as a weapon of the former Overlord-level Shadow Demon, it could slow down even a giant beast of such massive size.

Zong Shen levitated to its head, first pulling out the Dragon-Slaying Sword, then directly mounted its neck, sheathed the Heavy Sword, and donned two Rare Level Finger Tigers on his fists.

He started pounding its head with a flurry of fists.

Each punch, without even requiring a skill, inflicted over a hundred points of damage.

The flesh getting pulverized almost turned to paste under the incessant pounding.

Unfortunately, its skull was extremely sturdy. Based on its body size proportion, it was at least thirty to forty centimeters thick, as hard as a marble wall.

Under Zong Shen’s pummeling, Steel Spike·Claw let out cries of pain.

Its Life Value rapidly drained away, its beautiful fur turning into a mass of blood-red pulp.

The situation was akin to hand-beating beef meatballs; an Overlord-level beast appeared as a helpless little kitten before the current Zong Shen.

If other Lords witnessed this scene, they would certainly be too shocked to speak.

Its miserable roars echoed through the sky, causing the other Scorpion-tailed Tigers to halt.

The leader’s cries of agony served as the best intimidation tactic.

Zong Shen paid no attention to this, maintaining his relentless barrage of punches.

Soon, its Life Value dropped below 400, entering a weakened, near-death state.

He finally stopped, his blood-soaked, flesh-stained fists clad in Finger Tigers.

A slight depression appeared on the massive head of Steel Spike·Claw.

Zong Shen wiped his hands on its back fur before putting away the Finger Tigers.

Hovering into the air again, he flew in front of the creature.

Had it not been for the last flicker of instinctual support, its wings were on the verge of ceasing their flapping.

Zong Shen forcefully pried open its mouth and shoved a Taming Fruit into it.

Then, patting it with his reverse hand, poured in three bottles of Moon God Spring to restore its Life Value.

Taming such an Overlord-level creature in a near-death state maximizes the fruit’s effect.

Having previously tamed Pigsy, Zong Shen was skilled in this process.

Indeed, he was going to tame the Scorpion-tailed Tiger leader!
