Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 2030: Chapter 2030: Be Cruel to Me

She tried to smile and said, ”I’m not alone, Awei and the others are all here...”

”I don’t feel at ease leaving you with them.”

Li Mingxi’s heart was pounding even harder.

Please, could he stop saying things that could be easily misunderstood?

”Xiao Lang, I need to tell you something.” Li Mingxi looked directly at him as she spoke, intending to clear things up and make sure he wouldn’t give her any unrealistic hopes anymore.

”What do you want to say?” Xiao Lang asked gently.

Being gazed at with those deep eyes of his, Li Mingxi couldn’t help but let her imagination run wild again.

She spoke frankly, ”If you don’t like me, or aren’t serious about me, please stop caring about me and don’t give me any hope or illusions, okay? Although asking you to treat me like this might be cruel to me, I’d rather you be a bit cruel than keep waiting and facing disappointment. If you really care about me, then be a bit cruel, alright?”

He didn’t expect this was what she wanted to say.

Xiao Lang had a feeling that if he didn’t take the initiative, he might miss her just like he missed Jian Yufei before.

He did like Li Mingxi, although not to the point of deep love, but feelings could slowly be cultivated.

If he missed this chance, he figured he might never like anyone else again in his life.

Xiao Lang pressed his lips together, and he took Li Mingxi’s hand. Her eyelashes fluttered slightly. What was he doing?

Holding her hand, Xiao Lang’s voice was low as he said, ”You asked me to consider it for a week. I’ve thought it through, and I still want to be with you. Are you willing to give me another chance?”

”...”

”Originally, I asked you out that day intending to pursue you officially, but you ran off to Thailand. Actually, I could have waited for you to come back to A City and then told you my decision. But I couldn’t wait any longer, so I rushed over immediately. However, when I saw you, I didn’t know how to express my feelings, and I almost missed the chance. Later, when I learned about your abduction, I felt very panicked and scared. I was afraid something might happen to you, afraid I would lose you. I was thinking, why hadn’t I expressed my feelings earlier and been with you sooner? If something happened to you, I would be in pain for the rest of my life. That’s why I had to come find you and rescue you. Only when you’re by my side can I be at ease. Mingxi, I realized how wonderful you are just now. Are you still willing to give me a chance?”

”...”

Li Mingxi looked at him blankly, with no reaction.

At this moment, her feelings were of nothing but excitement.

It felt like a long-awaited dream suddenly came true.

She was so excited she couldn’t even speak.

”You... do you like me?” After a long while, she finally found her voice.

Xiao Lang smiled gently, ”I like you. Perhaps I haven’t realized I’m in love with you yet, but I can swear that I will cherish you, take care of you, and try my best to fall in love with you for the rest of my life. Will you accept me like this?”

Li Mingxi’s eyes instantly became a bit red.

She suddenly grabbed his hand in return and said with a bright smile, ”Remember what you said today. If you can’t do it, I’ll make you impotent for life!”

”Impotent?” Xiao Lang was taken aback.

Li Mingxi nodded, ”Yes, I’ll strip you of your manhood! I’ve got a hundred ways to do it quietly, so you’d better not break your promise!”
