Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Capítulo 2021: Chapter 2021: Someone Is Controlling the Snakes

“Where did the snakes come from?!” Awei shielded Li Mingxi, pulling out his gun and shooting off the head of the largest snake.

“Damn it, they really are liars; sooner or later I’ll kill them!” Awei growled angrily.

Though some snakes were killed, the others were fearless, flicking their tongues as they continued crawling toward them!

This time, Awei had only brought four subordinates to the meeting. Two stayed outside to guard, and only two came along inside.

Those two also pulled out their guns, hitting a few snakes.

But snakes kept crawling in from the doorway, their numbers increasing…

Li Mingxi’s face changed slightly: “These snakes are poisonous, everyone be careful, don’t get bitten!”

Awei and his men protected her as they retreated to a corner.

There were too many snakes, and their bullets simply weren’t enough!

If this continued, once their bullets ran out, they’d have no weapons for self-defense.

Awei and his men grabbed chairs and simply started smashing them!

Li Mingxi said, “This isn’t going to work, set a fire, burn this place!”

The tablecloth was torn down and set ablaze—

The burning tablecloth was thrown into the pile of snakes; some writhed painfully to avoid it, some began to retreat. Seeing it was effective, they took off their jackets, set them on fire, and tossed them into the snake pile.

The snakes showed signs of retreat, but suddenly a whistling sound was heard, and the snakes that had intended to back off became active again, continuing their assault.

Someone outside was controlling the snakes—

Li Mingxi grabbed a vase and smashed it at the closest snakes!

Awei took the opportunity to call and notify his men outside; they wanted to come in and rescue them, but there were snakes outside too, preventing their entry.

And calling the police was simply impossible; with guns in hand, they’d only be arrested if they called.

So they could only resolve these matters themselves.

Awei said, “In a moment, we’ll carve our way out. Miss Li, you must leave quickly, we’ll handle the aftermath for you!”

“It’s useless!” Li Mingxi said, “This time we were careless, there must be an ambush outside, even if I get out, I won’t escape!”

Awei’s face turned grim: “Then what do we do?”

“Their goal is money, they won’t kill us for now.” Li Mingxi looked at the poisonous snakes crawling all over the room and decisively said, “If you can escape, then escape, don’t worry about me!”

“No way! We can’t let you be in danger!”

“I can’t do anything; what use is going out? You guys escape and find a way to rescue me. As long as they still want money, they won’t do anything to me!”

Awei laughed bitterly: “I’m afraid none of us will get out. There are no windows here, the people outside can’t come in, we can’t get out, and our bullets are almost gone.”

“Call the police!” Li Mingxi said.

Awei immediately ordered someone to call the police; at this point, there was no choice but to risk it all.

Yet what they didn’t know was that several local police had already colluded with these people.

Even if they called the police, no officers would come to save them.

At this moment, the voice of the previous Thai man sounded outside: “Put down your guns, and we’ll spare your lives! Otherwise, none of you will leave today!”

Li Mingxi coldly replied: “I know what you want is money! But I warn you, if any of our people are harmed, you won’t get a dime! Do you know our identities? Cross us, and none of you will live!”

“You are in our hands now, what we say is what goes!” the man outside shouted fiercely.

“What do you want?!” Li Mingxi asked loudly.
