Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 2017: Chapter 2017: Does She Not Like Him Anymore?

So he decided to give himself a chance. Maybe he could fall in love with her and have a new relationship.

The reason he took the initiative and was bold was all because he had missed a chance before and learned to cherish it.

He had once missed Jian Yufei, and now, he didn’t want to miss Li Mingxi.

”Is that all? No affection?” Li Mingxi asked.

Xiao Lang smiled, ”There’s affection, but maybe not much.”

”You are quite honest,” Li Mingxi teased.

”So are you willing to date me and give it a try?” Xiao Lang countered.

Li Mingxi was silent for a moment and then said, ”If you had said this to me earlier, I would have agreed. But now, I don’t want to agree. Go home and calm down for a few days, maybe you’re just acting on impulse and you’ll soon regret it.”

”I’m not impulsive!” Xiao Lang quickly denied, ”Mingxi, I really want to try with you.”

Li Mingxi’s smile faded, ”Let me think for a few days, and I’ll give you an answer once I figure it out.”

Xiao Lang frowned in confusion, ”Why do you need to think?”

Did she not like him anymore? Had he missed out on love again?

Xiao Lang’s heart grew a bit anxious. He gripped her shoulders, ”Do you really want to date that man? You’re willing to give him a chance but not me?!”

”No, anyway, I need to think about it. You should go back first.”

”How long?!”

”A week, you should think calmly too,” Li Mingxi said, looking into his eyes.

Xiao Lang was silent for a while, then nodded, ”Okay, you think seriously, and I’ll think seriously. But I still want to tell you, I’m serious.”

”I know.” Li Mingxi nodded.

Xiao Lang suddenly hugged her, the embrace was tight but brief, and after a few seconds, he let her go.

”Then I’ll head back first; I’ll call you then.” He said deeply.

Li Mingxi, suppressing her wildly beating heart, nodded calmly.

Xiao Lang gave her a gentle smile before leaving.

Once the door closed, he had been gone for a while, and Li Mingxi was still standing there.

She raised her hand to cover her wildly beating heart, angrily cursing herself as an idiot!

What a great opportunity, taking him down directly would have been the wisest choice.

Why would she eat too much and give him a week to think? What if he changed his mind and no longer wanted to date her?

By then, it would be too late for regrets!

But... what she feared was exactly that he would regret it.

He had been hot and cold towards her a few times, and she was really afraid, afraid that it was just his impulse and he would wake up and say sorry to her again.

She’d rather never get it than hold expectations in vain each time.

If she were rejected by him once more, she thought she could probably never love again.

This is why she didn’t dare agree with him and gave each other a week’s time to think.

And now, the week’s time was up.

Xiao Lang is calling, what would he say?

Did he change his mind, or is he still determined to date her?

Li Mingxi held her phone, a little reluctant to answer.

The phone rang once, then rang again.

Oh well!

Li Mingxi answered the phone, placing it by her ear, ”What do you want to say?”

Xiao Lang’s voice was gentle, ”Are you free? I’d like to invite you to dinner. About the last question, I want to talk to you in person.”

Li Mingxi initially planned to just get it over with.

But after he said that, she became scared again.

She didn’t dare hear a rejecting answer, she admitted, she lost her nerve.

”Next time, I’m busy now.”
