Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 1990: Chapter 1990: What Kind of Girl Do You Like?

Would she really try to match them together?

No way, she doesn’t want to embarrass herself; Xiao Lang would definitely refuse.

Besides, she doesn’t need him anymore.

Before Xiao Lang could speak, Li Mingxi complained, ”Grandma, don’t meddle in people’s affairs, just eat your food.”

Grandma Li smiled at Xiao Lang and said, ”That’s my granddaughter. We’ve kept her at home for too long, hindering her marriage prospects, so now she complains about this and that all the time. Don’t you think we should get her married off soon?”

Li Mingxi: ”...”

Xiao Lang didn’t know how to respond; he just smiled silently.

Grandma Li addressed Li Mingxi again, ”I know you’re eager to marry. Don’t worry, I’ll soon find you a suitable partner.”

Li Mingxi was genuinely anxious, ”Grandma, who said I’m eager to marry! I’m not getting married, not even if I...”

”Hmm?!” Grandma Li stared at her with a long, warning note.

Li Mingxi was unable to finish the sentence about not getting married even if she died.

”Anyway, I don’t want to get married!” She still braved and uttered.

Grandma Li chuckled, ”Don’t be hasty with such words. The one I find for you will be quite nice; you can decide after meeting him whether or not to marry.”

What is there to see anyway!

It’s not like she’s the one who chooses; it’s whether others fancy her that determines marriage.

Li Mingxi buried herself in her meal, choosing to ignore it all.

Perhaps Grandma would give up once she hit a snag.

But she would still lose face again.

Oh well, meeting Xiao Lang meant her pride was long gone anyway.

Grandma Li turned and asked Xiao Lang, ”You haven’t answered my question earlier. What do you say if I introduce you to someone?”

Xiao Lang didn’t directly refuse, ”Who is it you’re introducing to me, old lady?”

Li Mingxi’s heart skipped a beat; he didn’t outright refuse.

Grandma Li laughed cheerfully, ”The match I’ve got for you will surely make you happy.”

Then, Grandma Li pointed to a young girl at the dining table, ”Do you see her? She’s my old friend’s granddaughter, 27 this year, just returned from studying abroad. She’s quite good-looking, and her family background is nice too. A good girl. If you fancy her, I’ll help set up the match.”

Li Mingxi and Xiao Lang: ”...”

They both thought she’d match them with each other, but turns out it wasn’t the case!

Although Li Mingxi avoided embarrassment, she still felt uncomfortable inside.

If Xiao Lang was introduced to someone else, how could she feel at ease?

Xiao Lang also felt a vague sense of loss.

He pressed his lips together and said, ”She seems like a nice girl, but I think she might not be suitable for me.”

Grandma Li laughed, ”That girl is gentle, kind, and tender. Are you not into that?”

”Not quite, it’s just that I’m not in a hurry now, I’ll let things happen naturally,” Xiao Lang said evasively.

Grandma Li wouldn’t let him off the hook, ”So what type do you prefer? I’ll find one for you. Since you gave my grandson such a big wedding gift today, I ought to introduce some nice girls to you.”

Li Mingxi was speechless; Grandma even had the reason prepared, Xiao Lang had no reason to refuse now, right?

Xiao Lang couldn’t exactly say what kind of type he liked.

Grandma Li took a sip of tea and asked with a smile, ”Don’t like the gentle ones, prefer livelier ones? I think your temperament is mild, so finding a lively partner would be a good complement. Life won’t be dull.”

”This granddaughter of mine is quite lively; do you know Mingxi?”
