Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 1969: Chapter 1969: You Did Very Well!

Please, whatever you do, don’t let Ruan Tianling find out, or everything will be over.

Li Mingxi said bitterly, ”This is why I’ve been feeling down... Originally, I was the only one who knew, but now you know too.”

Jian Yufei was stunned for a moment, then suddenly realized.

”You didn’t tell Xiao Lang about this?!”

Li Mingxi nodded, feeling deeply guilty, ”I lied to him, I told him his bone marrow was useless, you have no idea how disappointed he was... Yufei, I didn’t want to deceive him either, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to...”

”No, you did well!” Jian Yufei climbed to her side and clutched her hand tightly, ”Cousin, promise me, don’t let a third person know about this, okay?!”

Li Mingxi nodded, ”I understand your point. I didn’t tell Xiao Lang for the same reasons as you. If he knew his bone marrow could save you, he would definitely be happy, but the happier he is, the more painful it would be for him, because his bone marrow is of no use to you... I didn’t want him to be sad and disappointed, so I didn’t dare to tell him the truth.”

Jian Yufei smiled gratefully, ”What you did is right, don’t let him know, I also don’t want him to feel too guilty and remorseful. Even more, I don’t want to see Ruan Tianling in despair and collapse.”

If Xiao Lang hadn’t found her yesterday, perhaps she would have told him the truth, that her condition was beyond saving.

But Xiao Lang was very remorseful and in pain yesterday.

If he knew she was doomed, he might truly feel guilty for the rest of his life.

Especially since his bone marrow was a perfect match for her, but it still couldn’t save her life, he would find it even harder to forgive himself.

Xiao Lang is a good person, Jian Yufei has always regarded him as a brother, she didn’t want to see him live in sorrow all his life either.

Fortunately, Li Mingxi didn’t tell Xiao Lang the truth, otherwise, there would be one more sad person.

Li Mingxi clasped her hand back, asking, ”Doing this, do you really not blame me? By doing this, it means you can’t have a marrow transplant.”

”It wouldn’t work anyway, it’s okay.” Jian Yufei shook her head.

”But what if it does work?”

”Cousin, it really won’t work. If it was that simple to cure, those doctors wouldn’t have spent years researching it.”

”No, I still want to try. I’ll find a way to get Xiao Lang’s bone marrow, and then we’ll have the surgery.”

”Won’t that arouse his suspicion?”

Li Mingxi said worriedly, ”If I had known his and yours were a perfect match, I would have saved some bone marrow before I did the test yesterday. Now, if we take his bone marrow again, he will definitely notice. Taking bone marrow is not like drawing blood, it leaves traces.”

Li Mingxi thought for a while, then decided, ”I’d better tell Xiao Lang the truth, your condition can’t be delayed any further!”

Jian Yufei shook her head, ”It’s no use, even if you tell him, I can’t have the surgery.”

”Why?”

Jian Yufei said, ”Ruan Tianling insists on finding a perfectly matched bone marrow before he’ll let me have the transplant. Now he’s sticking to me like glue, once I have the surgery, he will definitely know. Then he will find out everything.”

”What if Xiao Lang’s bone marrow can save you?”

”What if it can’t?! Cousin, you should have studied my condition too, how likely do you think it is to save me?”

Li Mingxi was speechless.

She had done many tests, and indeed, Jian Yufei’s illness wasn’t easy to cure.

To be honest, she also believed that a perfectly matched bone marrow wouldn’t work on her illness, otherwise, she wouldn’t have chosen to deceive Xiao Lang.
