Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 1974: Chapter 1974: Was I Too Optimistic?

Ansel said anxiously, but he still turned around to get the medical kit.

At this moment, Ruan Tianling pushed the door open and came in. He keenly noticed the bloodstains on the floor.

”What happened?!” He strode forward, asking sharply.

”I...”

As soon as Jian Yufei opened her mouth, her hand was grabbed by him.

”How did this happen?!” Ruan Tianling saw the fresh blood continuously seeping through her fingers, and his eyes were frighteningly dark.

Junqi looked up, his expression uneasy.

Jian Yufei hurriedly reassured Ruan Tianling, ”Don’t scare the children, it’s just a little injury, what are you so tense about?”

Ruan Tianling was still very angry, ”Don’t you know you can’t bleed?! How exactly did this happen?”

”Daddy, Mommy, I’ve brought the medical kit.” Ansel appeared in time, hurriedly speaking to them.

Ruan Tianling couldn’t bother to question further; he pulled Jian Yufei to the sofa and then knelt on one knee to quickly treat her wound.

”Mommy...” Junqi walked towards her, his innocent eyes flickering with unease.

Jian Yufei beckoned him over. The little one walked up to her, and she held him with one hand, gently kissing his forehead, ”Mommy’s okay, go play with your brother, don’t worry about mommy.”

Then she said to Ansel, ”Take your brother out to play and make sure to comfort him well.”

”Yes, Mommy!” Knowing he had caused trouble, Ansel pulled Junqi and softly said, ”Little brother, shall we go out to play? Let’s go eat something, something delicious.”

Junqi stared at Jian Yufei, not moving.

Ansel persuaded him a few more times before he finally followed him out.

With the children gone, Ruan Tianling asked coldly, ”Was it Junqi?”

”No, it was accidental.” Jian Yufei explained the situation to him, then added, ”I noticed something off with Junqi’s mood, you should probably consult a psychologist for him.”

Ruan Tianling pressed his lips, ”I understand. Now, let’s go to the hospital.”

”Isn’t it already taken care of?” Jian Yufei looked at the bandage on her palm, noticing it was quickly stained with fresh blood again.

Ruan Tianling’s face turned terrifyingly dark; he directly picked her up and strode outside.

He drove all the way at high speed, and soon the car reached the hospital.

Meanwhile, the bandage on Jian Yufei’s hand was soaked with blood.

People with leukemia bleed easily because of platelet deficiency, making it harder to stop bleeding.

Jian Yufei’s wound was quite deep, and her coagulation function wasn’t good, so it naturally didn’t stop the bleeding easily.

Fortunately, the bleeding wasn’t too much.

The doctor injected her with medication and re-dressed the wound, finally managing to slow the bleeding.

Jian Yufei leaned against the hospital bed, clenching her palm.

She said to Ruan Tianling, ”I’m fine now, why are you still upset?”

Ruan Tianling stood with his back to her by the window.

Even though she couldn’t see his face, she could feel the somber aura emanating from him.

”Ruan Tianling, what’s wrong with you?” Jian Yufei asked tentatively.

Ruan Tianling turned around and pressed his lips, ”Yufei, am I being too optimistic?”

”What do you mean?” Jian Yufei was puzzled.

He walked over and sat beside her.

Gently holding her injured hand, Ruan Tianling said in a low voice, ”These past few days, seeing you in good spirits, I mistakenly thought you were still healthy and that I wouldn’t lose you. But today, I realized how severe your condition is.”

”Just because my bleeding didn’t stop? It’s nothing.”

”How can you say it’s nothing!” Ruan Tianling suppressedly growled.
