Facing an Ancient God for a Year

Chapter 1117: Chapter 1115: Purity and the Quest for Purity

These two!

Faced with the refreshing guidance at hand, Lisa felt her imagination had been significantly unleashed.

But the situation was clear no matter what; the high-end laboratory belonging to Heaven’s Commencement Institute was fully at the disposal of Miss Liushuang.

Not to mention this valuable, even tailor-made weapon.

Isn’t that just what you would expect for an illegitimate daughter?

Lisa’s gossip curiosity had peaked with the relationship between the two in front of her.

It’s a pity that the person in question had no wish to satisfy her.

“Let’s go downstairs first.”

After giving key instructions, Fu Qian directly called out to Ji Liushuang.

“You need to rest now, wait a moment, I have another project to discuss with you.”

Ah!

Seeing Ji Liushuang actually put away the sword and follow behind Fu Qian, Lisa felt like she was watching a promising young man falling into the clutches of evil.

Discussing projects on the very first day, what kind of black-hearted laboratory is this!

…

“So, what insights or feelings have you gained from the recent experience?”

Once back downstairs, after gesturing for them to relax, Fu Qian asked Ji Liushuang about her feelings in a quite refined manner.

“Sword Intent… seems to have had some adverse effects on me.”

Ji Liushuang seemed to have anticipated this question and answered quickly.

“Tell me, what kind of adverse effects?”

Fu Qian had the demeanor of a mentor.

“I rely on it too much, and I am addicted to it.”

Ji Liushuang chose her words carefully.

“That is indeed quite a special feeling, pure, clear, free from confusion, just like its name, crystal clear.”

“I enjoy this feeling, and dispel distractions to maintain it, but this act essentially disperses my strength, even damaging my own will.”

“Very good.”

Fu Qian appeared very pleased.

“I don’t know much about the Sword Dao, but I can imagine your pursuit of ‘Extreme Intent’.”

“Even in my view, this could indeed be the correct path that leads far beyond my current Ranking, but if you were to ask for my opinion…”

He pointed to Ji Liushuang’s head.

“Compared to this body becoming a pure embodiment of the Sword Dao, I still think mastering this concept might be better.”

“Seek clarity within the murky, rather than becoming the clearness itself.”

“Just a little suggestion, for your consideration.”

“In any case, I hope the experience just now has brought you some gains.”

“I understand, it’s been an extremely precious experience for me.”

Ji Liushuang was earnest in her listening, responding seriously.

“I still feel that you are deceiving our outstanding student here.”

Unable to hold back any longer, Lisa chimed in from the side, the Apocalypse Demigod discussing the Sword Dao so earnestly with someone – it made her struggle to suppress her befuddlement, and she cautiously advised Ji Liushuang.

“Some things are good to hear, but practice is the only truth.”

“Thank you for the reminder, I think this is also why Professor Fu didn’t tell me directly before we started and only told me not to be distracted.”

…

Lisa was at a loss for words.

Even though Ji Liushuang’s gratitude was very sincere and even logical in expression, Lisa still extremely doubted that she had overinterpreted it.

As to why she had such a positive preconception of this person was unknown.

“Professor Lisa looks a bit haggard, are you facing problems with your project?”

Finally showing concern for his silent colleague, after leaving Ji Liushuang to digest everything, Fu Qian inquired.

“…It’s okay, the object I brought back last time is very special, I am still testing it.”

It was clear that Professor Lisa had pride; facing Fu Qian’s casually concerned tone, she did not deny that the issue was with her last spoils but still asserted that everything was under control.

“That’s good.”

And Fu Qian was very easy-going. He didn’t push too hard for updates.

“Cass and I, although we still have some energy left, are ultimately entangled in mundane affairs. The future of Heaven’s Commencement Institute depends on you young people.”

He then encouraged earnestly.

“If there’s anything you need help with, just ask. I will support you as much as possible. Do you need a Research Assistant if you’re short-handed?”

This sounds more and more awkward the more I hear it…

You’ve only been at the Institute for a few days, and you’re talking like this?

How many projects do you have? Do you know where to get the materials? Do you know how to fill out a reimbursement form?

Under a silent roar of frustration, Professor Lisa felt her face twitching uncontrollably.

But in the Supernatural Realm, a higher Ranking crushes others, and when someone of Demigod status says something like this, it’s really hard to refute.

“No need, I’m busy, but I can handle it.”

In the end, she took a deep breath and declined neither too softly nor too harshly.

“Is that so!”

Fu Qian pondered for a moment.

“Since you’ve said so, then let’s do it your way, but Liushuang—”

He naturally turned his head at the next moment.

“When you’re not so busy over here, remember to stop by Professor Lisa’s place.”

“…Okay.”

“I’m lending you my Research Assistant, so don’t refuse this time, okay?”

Having come to terms with the situation, Ji Liushuang nodded in understanding, while Fu Qian looked at Professor Lisa with a hearty laugh.

Am I really being put to good use?

After all this beating around the bush, you just want me to babysit for you?

And after I watch the kid, I even owe you a favor in return?

Stunned by the art of language, Lisa looked at Demigod Fu for a long, long time with eyes searching for a conscience, and received a full load of encouraging intent.

From the corner of her eye, Miss Liushuang remained modest and restrained, not getting carried away with this special attention.

Fine then!

Lisa sighed deeply in her heart.

This child is indeed good; I can’t let this guy lead her astray.

“Then I’ll take the offer without being polite…”

She gritted her teeth and said this, then specifically turned to instruct Ji Liushuang.

“Do you know the way now? You can come over anytime.”

“Um, thank you, Professor Lisa.”

The latter’s attitude was much more comfortable, and the gratitude was obviously sincere.

“It’s getting late, I need to head back for a bit, you guys continue.”

Even so, considering her blood pressure, Lisa decided not to listen to Fu’s encouragement anymore and stood up to take her leave.

“Okay, take care of yourself.”

Unfortunately, the concern from behind still made her breathing a bit harsher.

What on earth did I come here for today!

Her figure disappeared outside the door, and a certain resentment seemed to linger for a long time.

…

“How have you been resting?”

Satisfied, Fu Qian continued to care for his new assistant.

“No problems now.”

Ji Liushuang smiled warmly.

“I’ve even relaxed completely. Before, it seems like I was on the wrong path.”

“I’ve told you before, it isn’t necessarily the wrong path.”

Fu Qian shook his head.

“It could very well be the right path, it’s just not necessarily the destination you want.”

“Alright, let’s discuss the project now.”

As he spoke, Fu Qian took off the Bronze Headband.
