Entertainment: Wanted to Acquire the Company on the First Day of Signing

22: Accompanied learningSu Jixing spat out his coffee the moment he saw Lu Qingyu fishing for crocodiles in the livestream.

He knew Lu Qingyu wasn’t ordinary, but he hadn’t expected him to be this extraordinary. Putting down his phone, he immediately called the insurance company. He had to buy insurance, and plenty of it—this kid was a bit dangerous.

The crocodile was put on the scale: 212 catties. At a price of 20 yuan per catty, this fish was worth exactly 4,240 yuan!

PD Zhao watched with heartache as the Staff Member handed Lu Qingyu a thick stack of red bills, his heart bleeding from the pain.

After finishing his fishing, Lu Qingyu headed straight back. It had only been two hours since he left. While the other guests were just starting to earn money, Lu Qingyu could already coast through the entire program.

Lu Qingyu: ”Sigh, being invincible really is lonely. The Program Production Team’s difficulty level isn’t high enough; it’s over before I’ve even finished warming up.”

”Pfft, it’s fine if Little Brother says that in private, but if the other guests heard it, they’d cry.”

”Not everyone has the courage to fish for crocodiles. Little Brother is a ruthless man.”

”The crocodile never dreamed that one day it would actually be tied up.”

”The income of the other seven guests combined doesn’t even reach 500 yuan. Little Brother is so impressive.”

PD Zhao’s teeth were nearly crushed from clenching. The excellent program plan he had spent two months agonizing over, which he thought was flawless, couldn’t even last two days against Lu Qingyu.

The program lasted eighteen days in total. Excluding yesterday, seventeen days remained. Lu Qingyu arrogantly renewed his stay in the No. 1 super-luxury room for the remaining seventeen days, spending 3,400 yuan directly. With 840 yuan left, he believed that even if he ordered Buddha Jumps Over the Wall today, PD Zhao would find it for him.

The Program Production Team’s villa was well-designed, featuring a gym, a cinema, a study, a game room, and more.

After Lu Qingyu returned, he found a computer. Time couldn’t be wasted; it had to be fully utilized. He began looking at various news and information about this world, including the entertainment industry, as he considered what to invest his first bit of income in.

Little Brother was exceptionally serious when studying, but a livestream where no one spoke or did tasks was a bit quiet. Just as PD Zhao thought a large number of viewers would leave to watch Yao Yiyi and the others, the number of people in the livestream increased instead of decreasing.

”What should I do? Seeing Little Brother reading makes me want to study too.”

”Picking up my vocational test prep to progress with Little Brother.”

”Picking up my teaching certificate prep to progress with Little Brother.”

”Picking up my Level 2 Constructor exam prep to progress with Little Brother.”

The direction of the livestream suddenly shifted. In less than half an hour, Lu Qingyu’s livestream gained over 500,000 more people.

Looking at the background data, PD Zhao’s jaw nearly hit the floor. ’Ah, this, this, this!’

Lu Qingyu frantically stuffed knowledge into his head. Once he started studying, he didn’t stop for six whole hours, except for one trip to the bathroom.

Those who had followed Lu Qingyu’s lead and studied for the day were practically overjoyed.

”My god, I learned more today than I did in the past week.”

”I suddenly realized my study efficiency has increased. What’s going on?”

”It’s great having someone to study with, especially a handsome guy. Whenever I want to stop, I just look up at the handsome Little Brother. He’s so young and yet so hardworking; Big Sister is truly ashamed of herself.”

In the evening, the other guests returned. This group had earned more today than yesterday, but it still wasn’t much—it was yet another day where they couldn’t afford the No. 1 room.

Kaluo hadn’t slept very well last night. The mattress in the No. 3 room was a bit hard, making her back uncomfortable. Coupled with being busy all day, her back was now incredibly sore.

Kaluo: ”PD, can the mattress in Room 3 be changed? It’s really uncomfortable to sleep on.”

Yao Yiyi felt the same: ”Yeah, PD. We can stay in Room 3, but can the mattress be changed for a soft one? That way we can rest well and have energy for filming the next day.”

Bai Tingxin, on the other hand, was able to adapt; she naturally preferred sleeping on harder beds.

Seeing the beautiful women frowning, He Chenguang and Lü Qing immediately said, ”Director, we men can make do with anything, but the girls should be taken care of, right?”

PD Zhao suppressed the urge to roll his eyes.

”The mattresses in Room 2 and Room 1 are both thick and soft. If you don’t like Room 3, you can switch to Room 2.”

Hearing PD Zhao’s words, the group was speechless. Room 1 cost 100, and they only earned about 240 yuan a day on average. If they stayed in Room 2, the remaining money for food would be tight, so they were naturally unwilling.

However, PD Zhao acted as if he didn’t understand their hints, leaving the group with suppressed anger.

At dinner, everyone pooled their money to buy some groceries. The seven of them made five dishes. During the cooking segment, the two men, Lü Qing and Su Jing, showed off quite a bit.

Once the food was ready and everyone sat at the table, they finally remembered that one guest was missing.

Su Jing: ”Qingyu went fishing, right? Hasn’t he come back yet?”

Lü Qing felt quite disdainful of Lu Qingyu in his heart: ”Fishing is a technical activity. It’s hard for someone without experience to catch anything. Qingyu is probably still at the fishery right now.”

Bai Tingxin: ”I asked him to go to the bakery with us, but he insisted on choosing fishing.”

Wen Minmin: ”Should we give him a call? In case he hasn’t eaten yet, we can save some for him.”

Kaluo was a bit reluctant. She had cooked the rice today, so she deliberately said, ”Ah, but I only made enough rice for seven people.”

The takeout the Program Production Team prepared for Lu Qingyu arrived, and Lu Qingyu emerged from the reading room.

Seeing Lu Qingyu wearing comfortable loungewear, the group was taken aback.

”You’re back?”

”When did you get back!”

Lu Qingyu: ”I came back at noon.”

Upon hearing that Lu Qingyu had returned at noon, Bai Tingxin was very dissatisfied. It must be that he couldn’t catch any fish and was too embarrassed to go to the bakery, so he slacked off and hid in the villa today.

They were filming a show, after all. Even if he was acting, he should at least show the audience a hardworking side. Wasn’t he afraid of being scolded by the viewers?

Bai Tingxin: ”Qingyu, I’m sorry. We didn’t know you were home, so we didn’t include your portion in the meal we made.”

Lu Qingyu waved his hand: ”It’s fine, I ordered from the Program Production Team.”

Lu Qingyu sat at the other end of the long table. The Program Production Team brought up the takeout: a large box of braised pork, plus a box of fragrant rice.

The moment they saw the braised pork, the guests’ eyes widened. The dishes the five of them had pooled money for were: scrambled eggs with tomatoes, lettuce salad, broccoli, stir-fried snow peas, and the only meat dish, stir-fried pork with green peppers.

Crucially, the taste of these things was just mediocre—nothing particularly delicious.
