Entertainment: Wanted to Acquire the Company on the First Day of Signing

7: Participating in the Love Sect”Boss, shouldn’t we discuss this before making a decision?”

Su Jixing’s tone carried a hint of urgency. Among the projects their company invested in this year, ”bronze sparrow bridge” was the best one. The character of the male third lead in it had a likable persona. If the drama became a hit, it could harvest a wave of fans.

But even if the drama didn’t blow up, as a debut work for a newcomer, it already set a high threshold. Later on, when accepting roles, this could be used as a positioning point.

A good Agent’s job is to pull in good resources for their artists, yet the first resource he had his eye on had actually flown away.

Chen Ting said, ”Didn’t you say before that it didn’t matter who got the ’bronze sparrow bridge’ resource?”

Su Jixing replied, ”Wasn’t that because I wasn’t managing any artists at the time?”

Chen Ting: --- ”Well, I’ve already given it away, so that one’s out. Why don’t you look at something else?”

Inside Chen Ting’s office, Su Jixing sat opposite Chen Ting while Lu Qingyu sat on the sofa. A Young Lady secretary had brought him a cup of coffee, and he looked as leisurely as if he were having afternoon tea.

Su Jixing sighed and looked at Lu Qingyu. ”Your resource has flown away, and you’re still in the mood to drink coffee?”

Lu Qingyu: ”Let me correct you—it’s your resource that flew away. You’re the Agent; finding resources is your job. I’m only responsible for accepting the work.”

Su Jixing crossed his arms over his chest, so annoyed!

Lu Qingyu: ”How about I have the secretary sister get you a cup too?”

Su Jixing couldn’t drink a thing. He was thinking about what other resources he still had on hand that could be used for Lu Qingyu.

There were quite a few film and television dramas currently filming, but they were all small web series with poor production quality. There were currently two period dramas in the preparation stage, but the good roles had long been snatched up. Then there were variety shows—speaking of variety shows, Su Jixing had a sudden flash of inspiration.

A while ago, an old classmate of his was preparing for the third season of the love sect show ”Love Journey.” The first two seasons of this variety show were very popular. It would invite four groups of guests. The identities of the guests were not limited to celebrities; they could be streamers, lawyers, financial bosses, or even international students, and so on.

Lu Qingyu had just entered the industry and hadn’t taken acting classes yet. If he went straight into acting, the results might not be that good, but going on a variety show would be very suitable. He could first gain exposure there to build up public favor, and even play up a CP. Once he had some popularity, he could land more resources.

Thinking of this, Su Jixing immediately called his old friend. After some communication, it turned out ”Love Journey” was still short one person, so Lu Qingyu was set.

A week later, Su Jixing drove Lu Qingyu to participate in the variety show.

On the way, Su Jixing gave Lu Qingyu a thousand exhortations and ten thousand warnings.

”You’re the youngest in there. This is your first screen appearance, so you must be humble. You know about being polite, right? Also, the sisters participating in the program might all be very good-looking, but don’t act like too much of a scumbag. Even though it’s a variety show, you can’t just let yourself go.”

Lu Qingyu: !!!

”I know, don’t worry. I know how to be an artist.”

After driving for two hours, Su Jixing dropped Lu Qingyu off at a small town on the outskirts of U City.

This place was a newly built variety show filming site. All participating guests would live here for twenty-one days.

The small town was called Wind Chime Village, nestled against the mountains and facing the sea. Although the location was relatively remote, the natural scenery was excellent.

The program had temporarily built two small villas here. Today was the first episode of the show. From the moment Lu Qingyu stepped out of the car, he entered the filming area.

The live stream also began along with it.

”They’re here, they’re here! Another male guest has arrived.”

”Ahhh, I’m licking the screen! He looks so young, but he’s so handsome.”

On the live stream screen, the Program Production Team inserted a subtitle: ’Lu Qingyu, Singer, 18 years old.’

The identity of ’singer’ was currently the only title Su Jixing could think of to give Lu Qingyu.

”Wow, the little brother is so young and he’s a singer. What songs has he sung?”

”I just searched and didn’t see any representative works. He’s probably a newcomer.”

”It’s the first time we’ve had such a young little brother. Has he just turned eighteen? That face looks like it’s inviting a crime, *slurp*!”

”’Love Journey,’ you’ve got something there. You know exactly what we sisters love to see.”

Lu Qingyu got out of the car at the foot of the mountain. Halfway up, he encountered another participating female guest, Kaluo.

Kaluo, 29 years old, a beauty blogger with a million followers.

Kaluo was thrilled when she saw Lu Qingyu; she had finally met someone.

She was wearing ten-centimeter high heels today, a denim miniskirt paired with a white off-the-shoulder knit sweater. Because she had to live here for 21 days, she had brought two super large suitcases.

And the villa was halfway up the mountain. Pushing two boxes from the foot of the mountain to here was simply exhausting her to death.

Now that she saw someone coming, and it was a man, he must be a male guest. She believed the male guest would definitely help her carry her suitcases.

Kaluo was sweating quite a bit from the sun. In front of the live stream screen, viewers were heartbroken seeing Kaluo’s pitiful appearance.

Lu Qingyu walked up to Kaluo, and Kaluo immediately greeted him first.

”Hello, I’m Kaluo.”

Lu Qingyu very gentlemanly extended his hand to greet Kaluo: ”Hello, Sister Kaluo, my name is Lu Qingyu.”

The persona Su Jixing had set for Lu Qingyu was that of a refined noble son. His outfits were all carefully selected by a stylist.

Today he was wearing an emerald green suit jacket from Eonlab, a white shirt half-unbuttoned, paired with black suit trousers—fashionable, handsome, elegant, and eye-catching.

Paired with Lu Qingyu’s impeccable noble bearing, which was etched into his bones, every movement was natural. The first impression he gave was one of full-blown gentlemanly grace.

As a beauty blogger, Kaluo was very familiar with fashion brands. She could tell the price of Lu Qingyu’s clothes at a glance. She secretly gave Lu Qingyu a score of 98; although he was young, his quality was very high.

”You look so young. How old are you?”

Lu Qingyu said, ”I’m eighteen.”

Kaluo covered her mouth with one hand and exclaimed, ”Heavens, you’ve only just become an adult. So you’re a little brother.”

Kaluo spoke in a soft, delicate voice with a hint of coquettishness. Any other male guest would have done whatever a beautiful woman asked after seeing her act so cute, but he was Lu Qingyu.

Seeing that Lu Qingyu still showed no sign of wanting to help her carry her suitcases, Kaluo said:

”It’s already noon, and the sun is really strong now. Why did the base have to be built on the mountainside? It’s really tiring to walk up.”

Lu Qingyu stopped in his tracks after hearing this. Everyone thought Lu Qingyu would at least help Kaluo carry one suitcase, since the beauty had already put it that way.

Who would have known that Lu Qingyu’s next smooth operation would directly shock the audience into spitting out their food.

The only key point Lu Qingyu extracted from Kaluo’s words just now was that it was noon. At this time, it was time for lunch.

So Lu Qingyu pulled out another section of the handle on his own suitcase, straddled the suitcase with his two long legs, and after pressing a button on the handle, the suitcase actually started running on its own.

The gentlemanly noble son instantly transformed into a silly Husky.

Before leaving, Lu Qingyu even very thoughtfully urged, ”Walk faster, I’m afraid if you go late, you won’t be able to have lunch.”
