Entertainment: Wanted to Acquire the Company on the First Day of Signing

11: The first person to turn the tables on the production teamHe spent all his 50 yuan on food; where would he get the coins to pay?

”I don’t have money. Can I put it on credit? We’ll settle it when I get back.”

The driver bared his two large front teeth: ”That won’t do.”

Lu Qingyu: ”Then what do you want—”

The program seemed to have prepared long ago; the driver pulled a piece of paper and a pen from his pocket and handed them to Lu Qingyu.

Lu Qingyu opened it with a speechless expression; it was a promissory note.

”Borrow 10 yuan, pay back 50!”

The driver’s eyes were filled with greed: ”Once you sign, we can set off.”

Lu Qingyu crossed his arms and looked at the driver: ”Uncle, even loan sharks don’t compound interest like this on the first day.”

The driver kindly reminded him: ”The Fishing Ground is 18 kilometers away. Kid, just sign it.”

Lu Qingyu looked back at the Program Production Team. Fine, if you want to play like this, then I won’t be polite.

Lu Qingyu suddenly broke into a wide smile. Just as the driver thought he was about to sign, he took a step back and got off the vehicle.

”Uncle, I plan to go on foot.”

Driver: ???

While the Program Production Team wasn’t paying attention, Lu Qingyu dashed away. Before his camera PD could react, Lu Qingyu had already disappeared from the shot. By the time he realized, Lu Qingyu was already twenty meters away.

The camera PD immediately followed.

It was mid-afternoon, the hottest time of the day. You’d sweat without even moving, let alone running.

To prevent the camera crew from getting into a vehicle, Lu Qingyu used navigation to specifically take paths where cars couldn’t pass.

After ten minutes, the original 18-kilometer journey still had 19 kilometers left.

The camera crew had been running for ten minutes while carrying dozens of pounds of equipment and were already exhausted. Meanwhile, Lu Qingyu, being young, wasn’t even out of breath.

Another twenty minutes passed, and the camera crew really couldn’t take it anymore. Cameraman Brother felt like he was dying, so PD Zhao quickly stopped Lu Qingyu.

”Wait a moment.”

Hearing someone calling him from behind, Lu Qingyu turned around:

”What’s up?”

PD Zhao hadn’t expected Lu Qingyu to actually run for so long. Lu Qingyu was now drenched in sweat with his bangs soaking wet. He had thought Lu Qingyu would last fifteen minutes at most, but this kid had run for half an hour straight without stopping.

For the sake of Cameraman Brother and himself—PD Zhao had chosen to follow Lu Qingyu’s group today; their zodiac signs must be incompatible.

”We’ll let you ride the car for free.”

Lu Qingyu: ”What? You’re going to give me money?”

The livestream screen was now divided into four; viewers could watch all four simultaneously or choose one to enlarge.

Originally, the group with the most viewers was the trio of Lü Qing, Yao Yiyi, and Bai Tingxin, because people vaguely sensed a three-way Shura Field drama. Lu Qingyu’s segment was supposed to be the most boring since he was alone, but when everyone saw him start running because he had no money, they all flocked over.

Then, Lu Qingyu actually led the Program Production Team on a chase for thirty minutes and then counter-blackmailed them.

”I can’t take it, little brother definitely downloaded the National Anti-Fraud App.”

”Haha, the Program Production Team is finished. I have a feeling they’re going to fail this time.”

”Cameraman Brother, if you’re so capable, stop the camera from shaking.”

”PD Zhao didn’t check the almanac before leaving today; he actually chose to follow Lu Qingyu.”

PD Zhao: —”How about this, you ride for free, and we’ll give you 10 yuan.”

Lu Qingyu: ”Ah? You’re going to give me 200 yuan?”

PD Zhao: ”200 is out of the question, you’re going too far.”

Lu Qingyu: ”Not giving it? Then I’m leaving.”

With that, Lu Qingyu dashed off again, and PD Zhao couldn’t even grab him.

PD Zhao was speechless. The path Lu Qingyu chose gave the car no chance at all—going up steps and down slopes, and even darting into one-meter-wide alleys.

PD Zhao was seeing stars now, let alone Cameraman Brother with that heavy equipment.

After running for another 10 minutes, the camera crew was exhausted to the point of collapse. PD Zhao called out to Lu Qingyu once more.

Lu Qingyu turned around; though he was soaked, he wasn’t panting at all.

”Let’s negotiate. How about I give you 100?”

Lu Qingyu: ”Director, I think running is quite fun.”

PD Zhao: —”One hundred and fifty, no more than that.”

Lu Qingyu: ”Director, do I look like someone who’s short of fifty yuan?”

PD Zhao was about to say no, but Lu Qingyu beat him to it: ”I do, right? So, no.”

PD Zhao: —.

Before PD Zhao could catch his breath, Lu Qingyu said, ”If you don’t give it, I’m leaving.”

Lu Qingyu made a move to leave, and PD Zhao really couldn’t take it anymore: ”Fine, fine, fine!”

PD Zhao was truly afraid that Cameraman Brother would drop dead!

So the final result was that Lu Qingyu got 200 yuan and a ride in an air-conditioned car.

”I can’t, I’m going to die laughing. This evil Program Production Team actually got counter-scammed for 200 by the youngest little brother in the show.”

”Help, how can he be so cute? I’m a fan now.”

”The Program Production Team suffered a setback; they lost to a guest for the first time. I’m totally laughing my head off.”

”At first sight, I thought the little brother was a quiet, gentlemanly young master, but now I realize I was wrong. He’s clearly a black-bellied little devil.”

”I like him so much. That stamina, that slender waist—slurp!”

Cameraman Brother sat in the car, his 180-pound body soaked through. No matter what, he wouldn’t film Lu Qingyu tomorrow; he had to swap with someone else.

Seeing Cameraman Brother’s miserable state, Lu Qingyu saw there was still bottled water in the car and opened one for him.

”Brother, our cooperation has been so pleasant.”

Cameraman Brother: —Pleasant my foot!
