Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 2896: Chapter 2897: The Art of Commanding Troops

The second day, the Black Butterfly Legion unusually did not take action but instead confronted Qin Se’s army.

The Black Butterfly Legion was very mysterious, with most soldiers composed of the Demon Race warriors.

Generally speaking, if any Demon Race entered the third power, King of Huainan’s army would immediately seek to annihilate them. But this time, despite so many from the Demon Race, King of Huainan’s side seemed indifferent, leaving the cultivators within the Royal City quite puzzled.

”Immortal, can you investigate the details of the opposing legion?” Qin Se frowned and asked.

The middle-aged woman gently shook her head, ”The opponent is very cautious. We can’t gather any intelligence at all, and judging by those Demon Race soldiers, they are all elite. We are not their match! You should request your father for Shadow Guards to assist us, otherwise, we are bound to lose!”

Qin Se immediately shook her head, ”These hundred thousand elite soldiers are under my command; this battle I must win!”

The immortal sighed, ”Battlefield situations change rapidly; once war starts, it’s beyond our control. Don’t wager the lives of these hundred thousand elite soldiers!”

However, Qin Se seemed as if she hadn’t heard, and bowed her head in deep thought.

”If he were here, what would he do?”

She softly murmured to herself.

The immortal gently shook her head, and her figure disappeared.

”Ye Luo, your little sweetheart is about to engage in battle with the Black Butterfly Legion, aren’t you worried at all?” Yu’er said.

At this time, Ye Luo, along with Qiong Yao and Yu’er, were standing before a massive Mana Vortex, within which the scene of two armies clashing was displayed.

”I’ve said, who will emerge victorious is still unknown!” Ye Luo said casually.

”According to reports from the scouts, those Demon Race warriors are handpicked from the most elite legion of the Demon Race, and collectively they are a notch above Princess Qinse’s army, not to mention the core members of the Black Butterfly Legion! Once the battle starts, Princess Qinse won’t have any chance of winning!” Qiong Yao said from the side.

Yet Ye Luo remained unmoved, suddenly raising an eyebrow, ”You two stay here and watch the battle, if it starts, use the secret technique to inform me!”

With that, his figure disappeared.

There was a secret chamber at the back of the great hall, which was only constructed during the initial building of Wudang; Ye Luo had never actually used it.

This was his first time entering this secret chamber. Upon entry, he found a middle-aged woman standing turned away from him.

”In such an urgent moment, the Immortal not being by the Princess’s side but coming here indeed surprises me!” Ye Luo said blandly.

The immortal sighed, ”You know why I came here!”

”Indeed, I am aware of your purpose for coming, but have you considered that Qin Se also knows you’ve come here!”

The immortal suddenly turned, ”Are you saying!”

”Indeed!” Ye Luo nodded seriously with a solemn expression.

”Damn it, if I’d known, I wouldn’t have acted on my own!” With that, she activated her mana, and her figure was about to disappear.

”Since the Princess intends for you to leave, why return? Have you still not guessed her intentions?”

Upon hearing this, the immortal’s figure condensed once more.

”But the Black Butterfly Legion is immensely terrifying; even twenty thousand elite soldiers may not withstand them, let alone these hundred thousand!” The immortal exclaimed anxiously.

”Do you recall King of Huainan’s most legendary battle?” Ye Luo suddenly asked.

The immortal hesitated, then nodded lightly, ”Are you referring to his lone venture into the Demon God’s Hall?”

Ye Luo nodded too, ”Indeed. At that time, King of Huainan had only twenty thousand troops, yet he faced twenty thousand elite warriors of the Demon Race defending the Demon God’s Hall, considered as the fiercest legion of the Demon Race. However, leading those twenty thousand, King of Huainan charged in three times, causing that elite legion to scatter in disarray!”

The immortal instantly furrowed her brow, ”King of Huainan was a genius in military strategy, and it’s rumored he learned the art of commanding troops from the ruins, enabling him to triumph repeatedly!”

On hearing this, Ye Luo gazed at her with a half-smile.

”Are you implying?” The immortal suddenly widened her eyes.

”Rest assured, I trust Princess Qinse. With her capability, she definitely won’t let the Black Butterfly Legion have it easy!”

At this point, the immortal was somewhat relieved.

Meanwhile, on the battlefield, the sound of killing was deafening!

Warriors from both sides had already engaged in a fierce battle; the cultivators of the Black Butterfly Legion, like a swarm of hornets, were overwhelmingly intense, both in momentum and cultivation, surpassing Princess Qinse’s army.

And Qin Se was standing at the rear of the army, personally commanding the battle.

Opposite, a faint figure clad in black could be seen standing at the rear of the legion, orchestrating the strategy!

Qin Se knew that was the leader of the Black Butterfly Legion, her true adversary.

”Princess, those Demon warriors are indeed formidable; at a glance, they inflicted causalities on our troops!”

A General hurriedly came to report.

Evidently, the situation on the battlefield was not optimistic.

A mixed battle of twenty thousand cultivators released mana that covered the skies, gradually darkening the world.

”Fetch my armor!” Qin Se said calmly.

The General hesitated for a moment, his face suddenly transforming.

”Princess, you must not! The danger of a mixed battle is extreme; how can you personally enter the battlefield!”

Qin Se coldly glanced at him, ”I’m the commander of the three armies now. If you defy orders again, you’ll be court-martialed!”

”At your command!” The General finally acknowledged.

In no time, Qin Se donned her armor, releasing an intense aura, then transformed into a stream of light heading straight for the battlefield!

Upon arriving above the battlefield, an overwhelming stench of blood greeted her, causing her stomach to churn, her complexion pale.

”Is this the battlefield?” She murmured to herself, then made a decision, bit her teeth, and pierced her middle fingers!

Next, the blood from her middle fingers dripped onto the battlefield.

Inside the secret chamber, Ye Luo and the immortal happened to witness this scene.

”This seems like a blood ritual!” Ye Luo furrowed his brow.

”It should be, perhaps this is King of Huainan’s method of commanding troops, and he did pass it to Qin Se!” The immortal said with a complex expression.

The next moment, a cold aura slowly emitted from Qin Se’s body, and she seemed to transform, floating in the air like a god of war.

”Kill them for me!”

Qin Se’s hoarse voice echoed, prompting the soldiers below to turn their eyes blood-red, emitting a beast-like bloodthirsty glow.

At this moment, not only had Qin Se changed, but the hundred thousand soldiers below had also transformed.

Rumble!

These soldiers immediately charged forward, and for a moment, their momentum overwhelmed those Demon Race warriors.
