Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 2874: Chapter 2875: The Efficacy of the Sacred Flame

The performance of these soldiers left Ye Luo astounded!

Originally, he thought that when people were on the brink of death, they would abandon all beliefs. Ye Luo had seen too many of such people.

He had imagined that once he entered the barrier, those infected soldiers would immediately swarm him and ferociously attack.

However, it was not the case!

The soldiers surprisingly saluted Ye Luo from afar and advised him not to approach.

”Royal Teacher, you must not come near! You will get infected!”

”Royal Teacher, we are doomed to die. You don’t need to worry about us!”

These soldiers started to call out, and Ye Luo could see that their emotions were entirely genuine.

In an instant, Ye Luo was moved by these soldiers.

All were men of steel; this is what true soldiers are!

At this moment, Ye Luo felt deep respect for them.

Even the generals outside stopped calling out, clenched their fists, and their eyes turned red.

”You are true warriors!” Ye Luo suddenly said solemnly, ”We have isolated you not to abandon you but to prevent more people from being harmed. For this, I apologize to you on behalf of the generals!”

After speaking, Ye Luo bowed deeply to the soldiers.

Ye Luo’s action instantly broke the soldiers’ emotions, and these men, who had never shed a tear on the battlefield, were now crying bitterly.

This scene deeply moved the generals outside.

Gradually, many of the surrounding commanders gathered around, feeling deeply affected by this scene as well.

However, everyone’s focus was on Ye Luo. Although his strength was evident, once infected, he would be no different from these soldiers.

At the same time, they admired the courage and righteousness of Royal Teacher. They had to admit he was indeed a rare good general. Yet, everyone now faced a situation: Ye Luo was infected.

”Royal Teacher, we are not worthy of your sacrifice!”

The infected soldiers cried out bitterly.

”There is no question of worthiness. Compared to you, I haven’t sacrificed much!” Ye Luo calmly said, ”I’ve come to save you. But I can’t restore you to what you were; your realm and cultivation are completely gone. You can only be ordinary people. Are you willing? But I promise, you can still stay in the army, or whatever you wish, I’ll do my best to fulfill your wishes!”

Ye Luo’s words stunned many into silence; or rather, they were completely shocked.

Turn these people into ordinary people? But these people were infected, doomed to die.

”Is... is Royal Teacher’s word true?” a general asked doubtfully.

But now, no one could provide him an answer. Everyone was eagerly anticipating what might happen next.

Ye Luo did not wait for a response from the infected soldiers; a strange stone as black as ink appeared in his palm, roughly the size of a fist. As soon as it appeared, the surrounding temperature immediately rose.

It was naturally the refined Obsidian; both its shape and function were dramatically different from the previous Obsidian.

Contained within it was the Holy Fire! This piece of Holy Fire could protect a thousand soldiers! The result was far more powerful than Xin Lan described, given its Fire Origin is the starting point of all origins.

Additionally, the huge piece of Obsidian was refined into dozens of pieces of Holy Fire that could completely protect the 250,000 elite soldiers! This was his confidence.

As soon as the Holy Fire appeared, the infected soldiers began to shiver uncontrollably.

Then, the Obsidian swiftly flew out and began to orbit around these soldiers.

This process continued for an hour, and gradually, these soldiers began to fall one by one, fainting on the spot.

With this, Ye Luo also breathed a sigh of relief.

”Open the barrier!”

After a long time, a general finally called out loudly.

They naturally had discovered that not only Ye Luo remained uninfected, but the soldiers infected were also fully cured. However, they lost their realm and became ordinary people.

This was simply a miracle!

The cultivation of these soldiers was not much concern to others; what concerned them was that these soldiers would not infect others. More importantly, even if infected, they could lead ordinary lives, at least not succumb to death!

Though it was hard to accept, at least it wouldn’t cause major panic.

”Royal Teacher, are you alright? You really scared us earlier!” a general asked worriedly.

It was apparent that the attitude of the generals toward Ye Luo had greatly shifted.

”I’m fine. Quickly arrange things; today’s events must not be leaked out, not even a single word. Otherwise, the consequences could be even more severe than the infection itself!”

Ye Luo’s words reached not only the generals but many of the surrounding commanders as well, instantly making their expressions turn serious.

To reach the rank of commander, one naturally possessed an uncommon intellect.

The virus itself could induce chaos throughout the Demon Realm; if the news of Ye Luo resisting the virus spread, the consequences could be imagined!

No matter how mighty the 250,000 army was, if faced with the insane backlash of the entire Demon Realm, it would be simply overwhelming!

Luckily, blocking the news among the 250,000 elite soldiers was not a difficult task.

After everything was arranged properly, several commanders gathered again in Ye Luo’s tent.

”Briefly put, I have a way to protect the 250,000 elite soldiers from the disturbance of the infection!” Ye Luo directly spoke bluntly.

By now, the generals were not surprised; they had foreseen this.

Afterward, Ye Luo made simple arrangements. Naturally, the secret of the Holy Fire was known only to these generals. Even Nameless did not know its mysteries, but these generals were considered as men of steel whom Ye Luo could trust.

From this point, the Prosperous Age Army officially got on track.

Days later, in King of Huainan’s tent, the king’s face was already incredibly stern.

”Over at Qin Se, over two hundred people have been infected, and this obviously isn’t accurate; if things continue, the five thousand elite soldiers of Qin Se are in grave danger!” King of Huainan said in a somber tone.
