Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 2881: Chapter 2882: King of Huainan’s Command

The King of Huainan heard this and frowned.

”We must not take it lightly, how is the situation on Qinse’s side?”

”Reporting to Your Highness, the Princess’s army has the virus under control, and the daily increase is less than ten people!”

The King of Huainan squinted; he naturally knew there was some deception involved.

”Relay my orders: Let Princess Qinse lead her troops to the Prosperous Age Army’s base and set up a temporary camp outside!” The King of Huainan suddenly commanded coldly, ”Order the Great General of the Westward Army to be stationed at the northwest corner of the Prosperous Age Army as a standby! At the same time, dispatch two hundred thousand elite soldiers from the Demon Race battlefield to the south of the Prosperous Age Army as a standby!”

With each command given by the King of Huainan, the shadow’s body trembled slightly.

It was evident that he understood the implications of the King of Huainan’s orders.

Could it be that something really went wrong with the Prosperous Age Army?

Of course, the shadow did not dare to ask more questions, and hurriedly left the main hall to relay the edicts.

”I hope my premonition does not come true! Otherwise, it will be a disaster for the Demon Realm!” The King of Huainan sighed.

A few days later, the generals of the Prosperous Age Army gathered together, but Ye Luo’s figure was absent. This military meeting was chaired by several Great Generals.

”Everyone might have already received the news. We are surrounded by troops on all sides, totaling over three hundred thousand. Clearly, this is not to guard our two hundred and fifty thousand elite soldiers. Imagine, in this third power, how much strength could threaten our two hundred and fifty thousand troops!” The old General said solemnly.

Then, the generals below fell silent, and each of their faces looked a bit unnatural, showing they also understood what it meant.

”We just can’t figure out why the Prince would do such a thing. We just won a battle!” One general asked perplexedly.

”Now no one can say for sure, of course, we might be overthinking it, but if that day comes, what should we do! That’s what we need to study!” One of the generals said.

These words almost made all the generals bow their heads.

This is not a question to be answered lightly, as it could be a capital offense.

If the King of Huainan really takes action against them, what should they do? Are they just going to accept death willingly? I’m afraid no soldier would think that way. Here in the Demon Realm, soldiers’ loyalty to the nobility has its limits. When their own lives are at stake, that loyalty will greatly diminish.

This is different from the armies on Earth. On Earth, although the notion of rulers ordering the death of ministers is exaggerated, it is still a reality, and military loyalty is much higher than in the Demon Realm.

”Now our two hundred and fifty thousand troops have been freed from the virus’s harassment, and this is entirely due to the High Priest’s efforts. We know about other armies’ situations; reportedly, soldiers who got infected are increasing daily, and more than half of the infected soldiers have perished or been executed. Regarding this, our lives are saved by the High Priest!” One general suddenly spoke up.

What he said was not exaggerated. After all, had the virus not been controlled at that time and spread among the two hundred and fifty thousand elite soldiers, it would have been a disaster! Much faster than other armies.

”Indeed, our lives were saved by the High Priest. Our loyalty to the King of Huainan will not waver. If we are ordered to fight against the Demon Race or battle the Assassin Alliance to the death, we would surely obey, even if it means dying on the battlefield, with no regrets. But to make us clash with fellow soldiers to the death is something we cannot do!” Another general suddenly shouted.

”Everything still awaits the High Priest to come out of seclusion for a decision!”

Most of the generals meant to wait for Ye Luo to come out of seclusion.

The Great Generals looked at each other and sighed.

”For now, it seems this is the only option. However, since we don’t know how long the High Priest will be in seclusion this time, we must come up with a plan. Otherwise, if something unexpected happens, we will be too passive!” The old General said.

Apart from Ye Luo, this old General was considered the most revered leader in the army. As soon as he finished speaking, the generals below immediately quieted down.

Apparently, since the old General said this, he naturally had a plan in mind.

Then, the old General sighed, ”Forget it. My suggestion is to take defensive measures! No matter how the King views us, we cannot resist before the High Priest comes out of seclusion! We have already built some defensive facilities, and it should be no problem to resist for a while!”

After some discussion, these generals reached an agreement or, rather, had no other choice.

Besides, they also knew that both sides were not much different in terms of military strength, gaining little advantage even if they did fight!

Moreover, the King of Huainan’s attitude is still unclear, and the surrounding troops may not necessarily be targeting them.

In the following days, the Prosperous Age Army remained calm, continuing to arrange defensive formations in an orderly manner, and the surrounding troops showed no signs of movement.

However, an unexpected visitor appeared in the Prosperous Age Army.

Princess Qinse! She chose this time to visit Ye Luo.

”Where is he in seclusion? I would like to see him personally!”

Princess Qinse did not accept the reason of Ye Luo being in seclusion at all.

This embarrassed Ye Luo’s guard squad because after all, Qinse is a princess. If she wanted to enter the tent, how could they dare to stop her? Or rather, with Qinse’s formidable strength, they couldn’t stop her at all! But on the other hand, they couldn’t disobey Ye Luo’s orders.

”Let her in.”

At this moment, a sigh came from inside the tent.

The guard squad members were secretly astonished; this is Princess Qinse, a princess asking for an audience, and Ye Luo didn’t come out to greet her! Even as a Royal Teacher, this was completely against etiquette!

However, Qinse didn’t care about these formalities and went straight in.

As she entered the tent, Qinse immediately squinted.

In front of her were two Ye Luos, one was Ye Luo’s true body, and the other, who had just spoken, was naturally Ye Luo’s Divine Sense Avatar. During this special period, he naturally did not dare to wholeheartedly seclude, thus leaving behind the Divine Sense Avatar.

”So you really are in seclusion!” Qinse was not surprised to see Ye Luo’s Divine Sense Avatar but instead asked directly.

After all, avatars and the like, the King of Huainan had countless of them. Qinse, having been exposed to such methods since childhood, was not surprised at all.
