Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 2873: Chapter 2874: Contacting Infected Soldiers

Nameless immediately started to sneer.

”Alright, you accept the military order, that’s your business. Anyway, I’m not doing this, you’re the Commander of this army alone!”

After speaking, he turned around and returned to his tent, then immediately announced he would enter seclusion.

Ye Luo shook his head with a bitter smile, ”Let it be, just follow my previous orders, as for the Prince, you don’t need to worry about him, after some time, he’ll naturally come to his senses!”

”Yes, sir!”

The General immediately returned to the military camp.

Not long after, dozens of commanders arrived at Ye Luo’s tent. Since Ye Luo’s tent was relatively small, it couldn’t accommodate so many commanders, and many had to stand outside.

Those who came were the important commanders, considering there are at least hundreds of commanding officers among the 200,000 soldiers.

”Everyone, the situation is urgent, since King of Huainan has issued a military order, from this point on, these 200,000 troops will be integrated into our Prosperous Age Army. Your original positions will remain unchanged, and you will be directly under the command of me and the Prince. Does anyone have any objections?” Ye Luo said directly.

In the military, the worst thing is indecision. These Generals all crawled out from piles of corpses, naturally having fierce temperaments. If Ye Luo’s words implied anything else, it would only provoke these Generals’ resentment.

To command 250,000 elite troops, especially those composed of Cultivators, is no small matter; it’s not something one individual’s strength can suppress.

Especially since Ye Luo is merely a temporary leader, commanding these elite troops is even more difficult.

”We will follow the orders of the Royal Teacher, except the situation is somewhat special now, the number for that strange disease is terrifying. Especially among those 200,000 soldiers, the situation is even worse. Does the Royal Teacher plan to isolate those 200,000 soldiers separately?”

This General was a senior commander among those 200,000 elite troops. His words were obviously intended to test; if Ye Luo truly accepts this, any bias would be apparent!

If there is unequal treatment, then these 200,000 elite troops will certainly not wholeheartedly pledge loyalty to the Prosperous Age Army.

Ye Luo, familiar with military tactics, naturally understood the implication, ”General, don’t have any concerns. Since 200,000 troops are joining our Prosperous Age Army, they will naturally be integrated into our camp. The rampant strange disease isn’t something we can control. What I can do is try my best to ensure the survival of these 250,000 troops!”

”Wise Royal Teacher!”

Immediately, the General kneeled before Ye Luo.

”Also, those 120 elite soldiers must all be included within the isolation zone of the Prosperous Age Army. Without my orders, no one is allowed to approach them!”

Then, those 200,000 troops were merged into the Prosperous Age Army. Of course, such occurrences are not rare in military terms, even if it were more troops, this has happened before.

The largest scale previously was during King of Huainan’s battle against the Demon God’s Hall, gathering a full 550,000 elite troops, which afterward was deemed by the world as Huainan King’s entire force.

Ye Luo then went into the isolation zone, where nearly two hundred people had been quarantined, and naturally, the Prosperous Age Army hadn’t reported truthfully to King of Huainan.

Accompanying him were several important commanders of the Prosperous Age Army.

These commanders were only a step away from reaching the rank of Great General, totaling five in number. It could be said if Ye Luo successfully recruited these five, he’d essentially control the Prosperous Age Army.

Of course, Ye Luo actually didn’t have many thoughts toward the Prosperous Age Army. He was merely passively completing the task assigned by King of Huainan and hoped to prevent the virus from spreading to impact his plan to find the Transmission Array.

”Royal Teacher, this strange disease is too bizarre, even if we isolate these soldiers, new infections still appear every day. We’ve investigated for many days but couldn’t uncover the cause behind it!” a General remarked.

Obviously, these 200,000 elite troops hadn’t just started showing symptoms of infection; Ye Luo even suspected the initial infected were likely slaughtered.

This was not due to the commander’s cruelty, since these are 200,000 elite troops, any instability in their morale would lead to disaster.

”This strange disease is undoubtedly a disaster, or perhaps not just for our military but potentially for the entire Demon Realm!” Ye Luo said calmly.

The others nodded, sharing the same apprehension.

”So, now with the Prince in seclusion, let’s follow the Royal Teacher’s orders. Continuing like this, our forces will suffer grave losses, why not seize this chance when the infection level is low, and clash with the Assassin Alliance!” cried a General fiercely.

The other Generals agreed, then turned their gaze to Ye Luo.

Their idea was clear, they’d rather the soldiers die in battle than succumb to disease.

”The current situation is unclear, I understand your position, this might be the best option. Yet, I have an even better choice! I called you here today to discuss this method!” Ye Luo said with a smile.

The Generals looked puzzled at Ye Luo, not understanding what he meant.

”What I mean is to completely isolate this strange disease, ensuring our 250,000 troops remain unaffected. Given the current situation, our mission isn’t just against the Assassin Alliance, but also the forthcoming chaos in the Demon Realm, or rather, how the Royal City will survive!” Ye Luo said seriously.

Upon hearing these words, excitement immediately lit up in their eyes.

They understood that Ye Luo wouldn’t be joking with them at such a moment.

”The Royal Teacher’s idea is naturally correct. If we can isolate that strange disease, our 250,000 elite troops will be enough to safeguard the Royal City’s security, even becoming a decisive force amidst the coming chaos!” a General immediately stated.

Ye Luo nodded slightly, aware it’d be time to showcase his strength.

Then, he opened the barrier surrounding the isolation zone and strode inside.

”Royal Teacher, don’t!”

Seeing this, the other Generals cried out in shock.

They now had a good impression of the Royal Teacher, but Ye Luo’s action clearly meant charging toward death!

Once near those infected, one would quickly catch it; even standing outside the barrier risked infection, let alone Ye Luo entering it.

At this time, those infected soldiers stood up uniformly. Many recognized Ye Luo, given his status as the Royal Teacher in the army wasn’t low.
