Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 1642: Chapter 1643: First Understand the Situation

However, what Ye Luo saw now was completely different. Indeed, the Da Yue Empire was much more uncultivated compared to the Great Tang Empire. Whether it was the surrounding architecture or the attire of these Demon Clan members, they appeared much more wild compared to the Da Yue Empire.

Yet, it was far from what the Great Tang Empire had rumored.

At least, although it seemed quite wild, at the very least, the basic regulations and system were still present. The Da Yue Empire also had its laws, though they might be more barbaric compared to the Great Tang Empire.

Of course, if one were to use a more pleasant term, perhaps it could be called freedom!

Indeed, the Da Yue Empire had much, much more freedom!

The Demon Clan was different from the Human Race. Even if there were differences in human races, their basic appearance wouldn’t change!

Humans looked like humans!

But the Demon Clan was different. There were many tribes, and each tribe had its own characteristics.

Wolf heads! Bull heads! Tiger heads! And more. One could say there were significant differences between each tribe!

However, it was somewhat strange that the stronger the members of the Demon Clan were, the closer they resembled humans!

Take Ye Luo, for instance. Although he was currently using the identity of the Third Prince of the Demon Clan, in fact, apart from some changes in appearance compared to Ye Luo’s original form, other aspects were not much different!

He hadn’t grown an extra leg, or lost a finger or something!

Of course, there were more things that Ye Luo could only slowly uncover later!

”By the way, Princess Yu, what is the situation over there in the Great Tang Empire?”

Ye Luo didn’t want to directly ask if there was any commotion in the Great Tang Empire due to his sudden disappearance; naturally, he didn’t want to inquire about Li Wuyue, Chen Siqi, Nalan Rou, and others either.

Hence, Ye Luo only had to ask Princess Yu in a roundabout way!

Princess Yu looked at Ye Luo, with a faint smile still at the corners of her mouth, but there was some displeasure between her eyebrows.

”Didn’t you say you wouldn’t hide from me anymore? Then why do you still address me as Princess Yu? Princess Yu is just a title used by those servants for me...”

Princess Yu didn’t finish her words, but Ye Luo understood what she meant.

Princess Yu, whose real name was Lin Yu!

Lin is a surname of the Human Race. In fact, ordinary members of the Demon Clan do not have surnames, but the nobility of the Demon Clan learned from the Human Race and created surnames for themselves. Princess Yu’s tribe is relatively special; according to the Great Tang Empire’s designation, the members of Princess Yu’s tribe are called the Pointy-Eared Demons!

The Pointy-Eared Demons had slender physiques, appearing very delicate, and their tribe was located in a dense forest.

It could be said that they had always stayed away from conflicts and were quite a peace-loving Demon Clan!

However, the reaction of the people of the Da Yue Empire towards Princess Yu showed that this Pointy-Eared Demon Tribe was not simple at all!

...

This was just a simple understanding Ye Luo had about Princess Yu’s tribe.

Although it didn’t seem like much on the surface, Ye Luo felt it necessary to know.

Now, Ye Luo came to the Da Yue Empire alone.

Even though Ye Luo was now carrying the title of the Third Prince of the Demon Clan, and seemed to have no apparent issues on the surface,

the reality was quite the opposite. Precisely because he was now playing the role of the Third Prince of the Demon Clan, Ye Luo needed to be extremely careful and cautious since a single misspoken word or wrongful act could raise suspicions!

Once Ye Luo’s identity was exposed, life would become difficult indeed!

”Alright, I’ll call you Yu’er then; it sounds nicer this way!”

Ye Luo said with a smile, yet his mind wasn’t entirely on Princess Yu.

After all, there were too many things Ye Luo needed to think about.

It wasn’t just things related to the Demon Clan but also included matters about the Great Tang and the people he cared for!

He wondered if the news of his disappearance had reached the Great Tang.

It most likely had, considering that even if the Emperor of Great Tang had high trust in Ye Luo, he would surely send people to observe Ye Luo in secret!

These people could assist Ye Luo when he needed help, but most likely, they were also meant to keep an eye on him under normal circumstances.

Ye Luo understood this part very well!

So naturally, the Emperor of Great Tang would know about his disappearance in the Dark Mountains!

Ye Luo just didn’t know whether his father-in-law had spread the news or not!

...

Fortunately, Ye Luo’s worries were unnecessary. In fact, the Emperor of Great Tang was aware of Ye Luo’s sudden disappearance in the Dark Mountains but didn’t think too much about it, because Ye Luo’s deeds in the Great Tang made the Emperor believe that Ye Luo couldn’t have just gone to the Da Yue Empire, only to disappear without explanation.

Moreover, the Emperor of Great Tang even thought that Ye Luo deliberately disappeared for a while to conveniently have an excuse in the future when certain actions didn’t match the Third Prince’s characteristics!

If Ye Luo knew what the Emperor of Great Tang was thinking, he wouldn’t know whether to be grateful for the Emperor’s trust or to say the Emperor was naive!

What followed was actually quite simple.

Ye Luo was brought back to the Royal Palace by the Demon King and stayed in his own palace for a whole three months!

Three months’ time?

Did Ye Luo have the luxury to squander so much time?

No!

But these three months were extremely necessary.

Because Ye Luo needed a comprehensive understanding of the Demon Clan!

Only in this way could he ensure he wouldn’t arouse suspicion!

For Ye Luo, the Da Yue Empire was fraught with hidden dangers; even the slightest mistake could spell disaster for him!

So, seizing this opportunity, Ye Luo claimed to have been injured by a Demon Beast and took a safe retreat for three months to thoroughly understand all aspects of Demon Clan knowledge, which was essential!

Time flew by, and it was now three months after Ye Luo had returned to the Demon Clan Royal Palace.

On this day, Ye Luo, as usual, was holding a book about the Demon Clan and reading.

Nobody found this surprising because, back then, the Third Prince also enjoyed reading, equivalent to a graceful scholar in the Human Race!

So Ye Luo reading a book naturally didn’t raise any suspicions!

...

Ye Luo was engrossed in reading when he suddenly heard the voice of a guard.

”Your Highness, the King ordered me to inform you that in a few days, it will be the day for you to hunt a demon beast, and the King has sent me to bring you some items.”

Hunting a demon beast?

Suddenly, Ye Luo came to a realization!

When he first arrived at the Da Yue Empire, he had thought of acquiring a Phantom Beast, as it was quite a novelty for him.

But later, because Ye Luo returned to Earth, this matter was naturally delayed.

During a conversation with the Demon King, Ye Luo had casually mentioned it, saying he wanted to hunt a Phantom Beast.

Originally, Ye Luo had only mentioned it casually and didn’t pay much attention to it.

(Yesterday, something suddenly happened at home, and I missed three Chapters. I will catch up at 10 p.m. today, and also tomorrow and the day after, to make up for it each evening at 10 p.m.)
