Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 1610: Chapter 1,611: Gradual Change

The Princess Yu, considered a beauty in the Da Yue Empire, coupled with her formidable strength and overwhelming power, is an object of admiration for countless people within the Da Yue Empire.

Unfortunately, she was betrothed to the Third Prince since childhood.

One might say, the previous Third Prince even basked in the Princess Yu’s light!

Ye Luo acquired the Third Prince’s memories, so he is aware of certain matters.

The Third Prince is rather carefree in nature, preferring romance and leisure over power and status. However, the struggle for power within the Demon Clan is more brutal than within the Human Race, even within the same clan, ignorance could lead to complete annihilation!

With this personality, if he were in the Great Tang Empire, living as a carefree Prince, at peace with the world, it might be possible. But in the Da Yue Empire, it is absolutely impossible!

Yet the Third Prince remains safe and sound, indulging daily in leisurely pursuits, not because of his princely status alone, but also due to his unwed bride, Princess Yu!

Because this Princess Yu is simply too assertive!

Even though they are engaged, they hardly know each other, and seldom meet. However, anyone wanting to deal with the Third Prince must consider the consequences of angering Princess Yu!

The most memorable incident among the Demon Clan was a few years ago when the Bearmen’s youngest Clan Leader mocked the Third Prince upon meeting him, thinking of his frail physique. The Third Prince had just enjoyed a flower wine, and feeling slightly tipsy, jested about the young Clan Leader’s burly appearance...

Little did he know, the Bearmen possess low intelligence and a violent temperament, leading the young Bearmen Clan Leader to smack the Third Prince in front of everyone!

This created quite an uproar, for publicly humiliating the Royal Family is a grave offense!

Yet, since Bearmen are considered a high combat race within the Da Yue Empire, many awaited the Demon King’s decision on the matter.

However, before the Demon King issued any command, the then seventeen-year-old Princess Yu had already taken action!

...

A raging fire consumed the night, claiming not only the Bearmen’s young Clan Leader but also several youths from allied tribes!

No one knew why, when the fire erupted, the youths failed to flee, but it was because the Bearmen’s young Clan Leader came for the decennial sacrificial conference!

By rule, each tribe must send an Emissary to pay homage to the Demon Ancestor, offer tributes, and report on the tribe’s development over the decade.

Failure to comply with these rules, regardless of reason, constitutes disrespect to the Demon Ancestor!

Thus, despite the young Clan Leader’s mysterious death, the Bearmen were punished!

But did the matter just pass so simply?

No, not at all!

At the time, no one knew it was Princess Yu’s doing—it was rumored that the Bearmen had angered the Demon Ancestor, leading to divine retribution.

In the following months, the Bearmen’s leadership suffered continuous assassinations, losing half within a few months, and it was during this time that Princess Yu stepped forward with lightning speed, forcibly annexing the Bearmen and making them her vassals!

Only then did the people of Da Yue Empire realize that this was all orchestrated by Princess Yu!

The cause was merely the young Bearmen Clan Leader slapping Princess Yu’s fiancé, the Third Prince, once!

One slap led to near extermination.

From then on, within the Da Yue Empire, even among other princes, no one dared to go too far with the Third Prince.

The Third Prince naturally knew this, and that’s why he feared Princess Yu!

Because the timid Third Prince could not accept Princess Yu’s ruthless methods!

Of course, speaking of Ye Luo, he still quite appreciated Princess Yu’s fearless love and hate, her iron-fisted approach, undoubtedly a strong woman.

However, appreciation aside, Ye Luo believed that Princess Yu had no right to interfere with his matters!

No matter her ferocity, if she wishes to be Ye Luo’s woman, she must be obedient!

Otherwise, Ye Luo could dismiss her. After all, Ye Luo is not the Third Prince and does not particularly like Princess Yu.

”Step aside!”

At this moment, Ye Luo looked at Princess Yu blocking his path and said unceremoniously.

Princess Yu wore a special veil, obscuring her appearance from Ye Luo, though he had no inclination to see what she looked like.

Upon hearing Ye Luo’s words, Princess Yu remained neither servile nor overbearing: ”If I don’t, what then?”

Ye Luo wished to charge directly forward, knowing his strength, Princess Yu certainly could not stop him!

But alas, Ye Luo was pretending to be the romantic Demon Clan’s Third Prince, whose weak personality was incompatible with revelation, lest it suddenly expose him?

Therefore, Ye Luo had to suppress his anger deep inside.

”Once more, step aside for this Prince immediately! Otherwise, don’t blame me for my rudeness!”

Upon hearing these words, Princess Yu slightly stunned—the Third Prince usually avoided her as much as possible.

This was the first time the Third Prince dared to show anger at her!

Princess Yu had numerous potential suitors, far more suitable than the Third Prince, but she believed that since her parents betrothed her from a young age, she shouldn’t disdain the Third Prince, but rather strive to empower him!

Seeing Ye Luo flare up, Princess Yu laughed genuinely, for in her heart, a man should be decisive—a true man!

”Well, how do you plan to be rude, just try, see if I’ll be afraid?”

Princess Yu’s words left Ye Luo momentarily speechless, but now was not the time for such concerns. The little fox’s situation was uncertain, and delaying might result in irreparable consequences, which Ye Luo would regret!

”Guards, seize her for me, and let no one let her go without my orders!”

Ye Luo immediately commanded the Guards by his side.

However, he was not the Ninth Prince of the Great Tang Empire or the Prince of Wuwei; he was now the Demon Clan’s Third Prince!

Upon Ye Luo’s order, the Guards around him remained unmoved...

If the Third Prince had ordered the capture of anyone else, they might not hesitate, but capturing Princess Yu—they dared not. Since these Guards could accompany the Third Prince to the Great Tang Empire, they were the most loyal to him.
