Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 1640: Chapter 1641: Princess Yu’s Vigil

Moreover, with Princess Yu rushing back, a larger-scale rescue plan was promptly launched!

The Demon King mobilized a full hundred thousand troops from within the country for the rescue of Ye Luo, because Ye Luo is the Third Prince of the Demon Clan!

Of course, Princess Yu also played a part in this!

It can be said that since Princess Yu learned that Ye Luo was trapped in the Dark Mountains, she remained here, several times leading people into the Dark Mountains herself, and even mobilizing experts from her own tribe to join the rescue plan.

Unfortunately, she never succeeded!

But Princess Yu was unwilling to give up because she believed that the Third Prince could not have fallen just like that!

Moreover, the Demon King also truly liked the Third Prince. With Princess Yu refusing to give up, how could the Demon King possibly abandon him? Thus, the war in the Dark Mountains grew larger and larger!

The demon beasts in the Dark Mountains were caught in great trouble; they didn’t even know what happened. The war erupted suddenly, without warning!

How could the Demon King of the Dark Mountains tolerate such an offense? Naturally, he retaliated, leading to intense fighting between the two forces in the Dark Mountains!

After all, the Dark Mountains are a terrifying place, teeming with demon beasts. Even though the Demon King mobilized over three hundred thousand soldiers in waves, alongside more than one hundred thousand mobilized by Princess Yu from her tribe.

The Demon Clan is skilled in controlling demon beasts, so these forty thousand people brought along millions of demon beasts!

Such a terrifying war naturally led to the scene Ye Luo witnessed upon his return!

The outskirts of the Dark Mountains were practically razed to the ground!

Of course, Ye Luo was unaware of these details now.

When Ye Luo returned, the war was more or less over. After all, both the demon beasts of the Dark Mountains and the Da Yue Empire suffered heavy losses.

It simply couldn’t continue with such entanglement.

So, the Beast King and the Demon King finally negotiated, and once the Beast King learned the truth of the matter, despite feeling wronged, he understood the importance of the Demon Clan’s Third Prince, and decisively withdrew with the demon beasts into the Dark Mountains’ interior, allowing the Demon Clan to begin searching everywhere.

Unfortunately, Ye Luo wasn’t actually in the Dark Mountains, so naturally, the search yielded no results.

Now, one could say, even the Demon King had given up; after all, deploying hundreds of thousands of troops and millions of demon beasts yielded no trace of Ye Luo, suggesting he likely met a grim fate, likely one where nothing remained!

Now, only Princess Yu and a few thousand remain guarding here!

Princess Yu doesn’t believe Ye Luo has met a grim fate!

Princess Yu is considered a strong woman, and having long seen Ye Luo as her husband in heart, asking her to give up? Even her father couldn’t manage that.

But surely the whole tribe couldn’t linger here with her?

Thus, by now, only Princess Yu’s own servants and some hired demon hunters remain continuing the search...

Even if people feel Ye Luo is likely doomed, since Princess Yu hasn’t given up, they naturally dare not speak against her!

...

Princess Yu’s base camp, a nameless town, initially established for army supplies, today has formed into a new gathering town for demon hunters, substantial in scale.

The town has no name, and people habitually refer to it as Princess Yu’s cortege!

At this moment, Princess Yu sits in her own chamber, which strictly speaking isn’t a great hall, but rather a simple stone castle!

”Princess, we should leave; the Chief has urged us many times!”

One of Princess Yu’s maids cautiously said, trusted by Princess Yu enough that their relationship was rather good. Yet understanding Princess Yu’s temperament well, she knew suggesting leaving might anger her!

Yet facing the Chief’s orders, she couldn’t disobey, hence she braced herself to raise the issue.

Unexpectedly, this time Princess Yu didn’t get angry, but instead glanced at her calmly: ”If you want to return, then go; I won’t keep you, but I’m not leaving!”

”No, Princess, it’s not like that, as long as you are here, I will always accompany you!”

The maid saw loneliness and helplessness in Princess Yu’s eyes.

Regrettably, she couldn’t offer any comfort!

After all, if there were comforting words, people had already said everything!

The Demon King even came three times for the sake of Princess Yu!

But no one could persuade Princess Yu!

Suddenly, during the two’s conversation, a guard rushed in urgently!

The guard’s actions severely breached decorum, clearly indicating something major happened!

”Pr-Princess, he, he’s back!”

”What? Who’s back, make yourself clear!”

The maid looked at the guard confusedly, asking loudly.

”Princess, the Third Prince has returned, it’s His Highness the Third Prince. We met him on the way back!”

”Are you speaking the truth?”

Princess Yu’s voice came, filled with the light of hope in her previously cold eyes!

”Yes, Princess, at this very moment, the Third Prince is about to arrive here!”

”He’s back, he’s indeed back; I knew he’d be okay!”

Suddenly, Princess Yu laughed heartily, then dashed out without hesitation!

Naturally, others also hurried out!

Ye Luo wasn’t accidentally encountered by these people, rather Ye Luo was preparing to summon Xu Mi Zun to leave here, noticed a team searching around, and approached out of curiosity!

Little did he know that he stumbled upon the group Princess Yu sent out looking for him!

Their search continued for a long, long time!

Upon seeing Ye Luo, those people naturally were extremely excited, and without hesitation, brought him towards the nameless town!

Actually, Ye Luo felt quite moved. Regardless of how the true Third Prince viewed Princess Yu earlier.

Or how Ye Luo himself perceives Princess Yu.

But based on Princess Yu’s current actions alone, Ye Luo sincerely admired her!

Ye Luo never imagined Princess Yu would search for him so long here; even he had difficulty imagining how this girl persisted!

Perhaps, this indeed is true love!

A true love Ye Luo couldn’t understand!

After all, from the Third Prince’s memories, he only read about how he avoided Princess Yu!

Yet what Ye Luo saw with his own eyes was undoubtedly a deeply devoted and loyal girl!

A mere marriage agreement, yet this girl willingly stayed here, painstakingly searching for over a year!

At this moment, Ye Luo felt genuinely moved!
