The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Why?

He Tiantian might be very outstanding herself, but her family isn’t wealthy, nor is she part of the circle.

With good connections, Cheng Yiming investigated and found that He Tiantian is just an ordinary high school student.

Perhaps she had excellent grades and got an opportunity for the winter camp at Capital University, then was admitted without an exam.

But her family background is really quite ordinary.

Yet Director Feng values her so much, even saying that the ”censorship approval” also depends on He Tiantian!

Cheng Yiming can’t help but ponder.

”...Tiantian, keep in touch often!”

Cheng Yiming actively added He Tiantian on WeChat and interacted with her on Weibo, referring to her as a little sister in the crew.

He Tiantian wanted to continue playing in the entertainment circle, and Cheng Yiming demonstrated goodwill, so He Tiantian naturally wouldn’t refuse.

”Sure thing, Ming bro!”

Speaking of which, when He Tiantian was young, she especially liked watching Cheng Yiming’s famous work.

The young detective Di Renjie was smart, witty, and occasionally sharp-tongued, acting alongside veteran actors without missing a beat.

Unfortunately, his debut was also his peak.

Cheng Yiming completely ruined his reputation.

But this time with ”Dawn,” He Tiantian saw a whole new Cheng Yiming.

His portrayal of Major Inukai was truly venomous to the core.

You hate him so much it makes your teeth ache, yet there’s a bit of understanding.

He was brainwashed by the devils, believing in their Samurai Spirit, and when it comes to patriotism, he was crazily in love with his country.

His fights with Su Qichen and Guo Zhenhua, two righteous warriors against the Japanese, had no personal grudges, just different national standings, each with their beliefs!

Cheng Yiming acted out the brutality and inhumanity of the devils, yet also showed his faith and persistence.

Making audiences both hate and somewhat admire him, which is very rare.

He Tiantian believes that after ”Dawn” premieres, Cheng Yiming will surely rise again.

His acting will also be recognized and even praised by the populace!

”Uh, it should pass censorship and be released smoothly, right!”

He Tiantian knows that this kind of Republic-era drama, especially involving espionage, faces especially strict censorship.

To pass censorship, there always needs to be some cuts, and not just once.

This is He Tiantian’s first movie, she invested a lot of effort and expectations.

If possible, she hopes to see the most complete and fulfilling storyline in the cinema.

Yuan Mei:...Of course it can pass censorship!

Although there’s some content in the movie that doesn’t quite align with the main theme.

For example, the portrayal of Inukai isn’t entirely negative, but carries a hint of understanding.

This is quite risky, easily making viewers feel the film is whitewashing the villain.

If overly interpreted, it might be deemed to have problematic values, leading to a request for modifications.

However, the main line is fine, patriotism, resistance against Japan, even reforming military intelligence agent (Guo Zhenhua), guiding the international spy (Rose), aligning with the policy of uniting all possible forces to resist the enemy during that time!

Plus, there’s He Tiantian...

Ahem, Yuan Mei has heard about the Chinese Academy of Sciences making very smooth progress on small nuclear reactor experiments.

And applying this black technology to military fields.

He Tiantian’s contributions can’t be said to be insignificant.

And she has no other requests, just wants to act in a movie, National Daddy will surely oblige.

So, Yuan Mei has no doubt about the censorship of ”Dawn.”

”Tiantian, now that the movie is done, what are your plans next!”

Yuan Mei accompanied He Tiantian away from the Movie and TV Park, back to Capital City, and casually asked.

”...It’s already April, two months until the college entrance exam, I want to go back to school once!”

After winter break, she had been on leave.

Though County First Middle School already knows she’s been admitted to Capital University without an exam, she’s still a student there.

Not returning for a long time feels inappropriate.

Besides, she has some matters in her hometown that need handling.

Not to mention, she needs to receive her high school diploma, and take a graduation photo with classmates.

Her high school years weren’t happy, but in the past half year, she made some good friends, roommates.

The teachers treated her very well too.

These memories specifically belonging to high school, she needs a conclusion, evidence.

Also, she never told certain people (meaning Zhou Zixuan) about her admission without an exam to Capital University.

Returning with wealth and prestige but not letting folks know is like wearing fine clothes at night unnoticed.

He Tiantian admits, no matter how successful she was in the novel world, in reality, she still wants to show off a bit, letting people know she’s not inferior to others!
