The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Signing a contract?

Damn!

If Director Feng hadn’t reminded her, He Tiantian really almost forgot.

Oh, right, she has a movie waiting for her to turn eighteen, so she can independently sign, and then officially sign the contract.

”Okay, Director Feng, please set a time and place!”

He Tiantian quickly sent a message to Director Feng.

The reply was almost instant, ”Tomorrow morning at 9, Feng Jing Studio!”

Feng Jing not only gave her the address but also sent a location pin.

”Okay, Director Feng, I’ll be there on time tomorrow!”

He Tiantian replied efficiently and informed Yuan Mei about it.

Yuan Mei:...still can’t understand why a genius like He Tiantian would go into acting.

Entertainment world, it’s too chaotic.

How old is Tiantian anyway?

The key is, she’s too important to the country, how could she—

But, Yuan Mei remembered her duty, she was only responsible for protecting He Tiantian, not controlling or monitoring her.

”Alright, I’ll have the car ready!”

Yuan Mei agreed and suggested, ”By the way, should we find a lawyer?”

Signing a contract, even though it’s just a movie, the contract must be thoroughly reviewed.

After all, He Tiantian isn’t a typical eighteen-year-old girl; she’s too important. She can’t afford any slip-ups over such a trivial matter.

”Sure! Sister Mei, do you know anyone?”

He Tiantian originally felt it wasn’t necessary. Feng Jing had mistaken her for someone significant, even modified the script to make her the lead female character from a minor role with only five minutes of screen time.

Feng Jing probably wouldn’t mess with the contract.

However, being cautious is always good, better safe than sorry.

Feng Jing is not only a director but also has a studio, investing or participating in other film productions annually.

If he included some unreasonable clauses in the contract, like requiring He Tiantian to act in other works he supervises, signing too easily would leave her in a passive position.

She’s acting just to experience different lives in reality, fulfilling a dream.

She doesn’t want to cause any trouble because of this.

”I know someone! Let me get in touch!”

Yuan Mei immediately took out her phone, looked around for a while, and then made a call.

A moment later, Yuan Mei returned from outside, smiled, and shook her phone at He Tiantian, ”It’s settled!”

No conversation throughout the night, the next morning, Yuan Mei drove He Tiantian to Feng Jing’s studio.

Downstairs in the office building, they met the already-arrived lawyer.

The lawyer looked around thirty, wearing an exquisite suit, paired with a serious and reserved demeanor, exuding an elite vibe.

”Tiantian, this is Lawyer He Zhiqian from Kanghe Law Firm! Coincidentally, he’s from your family!”

”Old He, this is He Tiantian, my employer!”

Yuan Mei smiled while introducing them.

He Tiantian’s eyes lit up, He Zhiqian? She’s heard of him!

Rumor has it that he’s a big shot in the Capital City’s legal industry and also serves as a guest professor in a university’s political science and law department.

There’s an industry joke saying Lawyer He’s normal performance is winning all cases, and if he excels, even the opposing lawyer could be put away!

Of course, it’s just a joke.

But it shows how strong his skills are.

He Tiantian knew, with Yuan Mei hiring this lawyer for her, it certainly wouldn’t be some novice or unknown.

Yet, she was surprised Yuan Mei managed to get this big shot.

Not for any crucial lawsuit, just to help with a contract review...quite a case of using a sledgehammer to crack a nut.

He Tiantian pondered about He Zhiqian, while He Zhiqian quietly observed He Tiantian!

He was classmates and neighbors with Yuan Mei, naturally aware of her abilities, and he vaguely guessed even her profession.

But Yuan Mei claimed she’s employed by He Tiantian.

Hmm?

This is quite intriguing.

”Hello, I’m He Zhiqian!” He Zhiqian slightly pushed his glasses, concealing the curiosity in his eyes.

”Hello, Lawyer He, I’m He Tiantian. Sorry for the trouble!” He Tiantian politely greeted.

”No trouble, Xiao Yuan and I grew up together, we’re all friends here.”

He Tiantian chuckled a bit; they were acquaintances, helping her because of Yuan Mei’s connection.

He Tiantian wouldn’t actually act all carefree and not consider herself an outsider, ”Still, thank you!”

Seeing the atmosphere was too serious, Yuan Mei quickly jumped in to lighten it up, pointing at He Zhiqian, ”Well, you old rascal, calling me Xiao Yuan when I always call you Old He!”
