The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

”Big Sis, we’re just reading through the script, analyzing the roles and running lines—so why are you already dropping the big moves?”

Wu Kai, who was acting opposite He Tiantian, was totally stunned.

For a moment, he couldn’t even catch He Tiantian’s lines; instead, he just stared blankly at her.

The girl in front of him was no longer a newbie actress, but a mysterious girl who had just returned from overseas.

She was dazzling, she had attitude, and every inch of her radiated danger.

Just a single glance made Wu Kai freeze on the spot.

Director Feng cleared his throat, snapping Wu Kai out of it. Embarrassed, Wu Kai couldn’t help but complain inwardly, ”Big Sis, you don’t have to try this damn hard, seriously!”

But soon, when He Tiantian started doing her makeup shots and filmed her first scene, the impact on Wu Kai went up a notch.

Crushed!

Absolutely crushed!

Luckily, the first scene was the Martial Arts Hall Eldest Miss running into some street punks.

Wu Kai’s shock and stiffness actually matched the character’s inner feelings of inferiority and timidity perfectly.

Director Feng shot a few takes and passed it!

Wu Kai: ...Damn, getting crushed by veteran actors is one thing, but now even a total newbie who’s never filmed before can knock me flat!

He—he’s been in the industry for quite a few years, okay?

He’s got tens of millions of fans online!

He... uh, forget it, better keep grinding his acting with these veterans.

The first scene, He Tiantian really got under Wu Kai’s skin.

Fu Shaojing and Cheng Yiming, on the other hand, felt relieved. The ”connected” actress’s skills were explosive, the script rewrites were more exciting—now they just had to focus on delivering great performances.

This ”Dawn” is definitely going to be awesome!

In fact, these old hands who’ve acted for years weren’t just relieved—they even felt a sense of crisis.

Especially Fu Shaojing—he just won Best Actor, and everyone’s been hyping him up as the benchmark for acting in entertainment circles.

If he’s outperformed on the big screen by a newcomer—tsk tsk, Fu Shaojing doesn’t even have to think hard to know how savagely netizens would roast him!

Work harder, gotta double the effort!

Fu Shaojing made up his mind: no matter if he has scenes that day, he’ll stay at the set.

As for Cheng Yiming, he wasn’t under much pressure.

He’s famous for rising to the challenge—the upper limit of his acting isn’t about himself, but about how strong his co-star is.

He Tiantian’s killer performance sparked Cheng Yiming’s fighting spirit.

Since He Tiantian joined so late, the director compressed the schedule to focus on her scenes.

And whenever that happened, Fu Shaojing, Wu Kai, and Cheng Yiming—the three male leads—would show up to observe, study, and prepare!

”Great! That one’s a wrap!”

Feng Jing couldn’t be more satisfied.

He Tiantian not only knows Martial Arts, pulling off all those tough moves for the international spy, Thousand-faced Rose—her acting is insanely good too.

Crushing a ”traffic idol” like Wu Kai is one thing, but she can even go toe-to-toe with a freak like Cheng Yiming.

Tsk tsk, isn’t this what powerhouse clashes look like?

That spark—you could feel it through the monitor, Feng Jing was sure.

The actors are giving it their all, and the director and crew are loving it.

Even Fu Shaojing—who calls himself Best Actor, and who usually floats a little above things—got serious after seeing He Tiantian and Cheng Yiming face off.

Wu Kai, for his part, didn’t need convincing. He’s always been eager to learn, but with He Tiantian in the mix, he’s working his ass off!

The entire cast took on this attitude: if you’re good, I gotta be better; if you push, I gotta push back harder.

This positive competition made Director Feng grin ear to ear.

And the crew became super efficient.

What was supposed to be a forty-five day shoot wrapped up in one month.

”Cut! That’s a wrap!”

After filming He Tiantian’s last scene, Rose’s role was done.

He Tiantian, in a high-difficulty aerial leap, jumped into the ocean. Inukai and his pissed-off crew rushed onto the deck and fired wildly at the water.

Rose’s fate is unknown, but later in the story, she sends letters from many places in Hua Country, witnessing firsthand the devastation of war on Hua Country people, experiencing the suffering and helplessness of being a slave of a conquered nation.

She eventually goes to the Red Holy Land and becomes a true fighter.

Originally, Director Feng wanted to use a stunt double and wire work for the jumping-into-the-sea scene.

Because, before Rose jumps, while fleeing Inukai’s pursuit, she has to pull off a bunch of high-difficulty flips and leaps.

In the past, only martial arts actors would do these stunts themselves.
