The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

”Shen Hetian, you, why are you——”

At the East School Gate, hundreds of students gathered.

In the sobbing crowd, Shen Hetian’s girlfriend, roommates, and classmates huddled in a corner, unable to hide their terror.

In a way, they were lucky. They managed to charge from the dormitory to the East School Gate, encountering zombies but escaping injury, arriving safely at the gathering point.

However, this process was not a pleasant memory for them.

The roaring monsters, the shrill screams of classmates, the scattered blood and organ pieces—all of it overwhelmed these young adults who hadn’t yet left the campus.

Only now did they truly feel that ”the apocalypse has come.”

Even someone as cunning as Wang Zimo was as frightened as a startled bird by the harsh reality.

Understandably so; despite his scheming nature, he was just a university senior in his early twenties.

He knew that society was cruel and that reality differed from dreams, but the apocalypse seemed too distant from them.

Zombie crises from films and bloody apocalypses from online novels were merely pastimes to kill time for them.

Once they were really plunged into it, they found it incredibly hard to adapt.

Each of them clung to their backpacks, huddling closely together, shivering like fledglings in a storm.

Just as they were still in shock, filled with panic and fear, they suddenly saw a person who shouldn’t have appeared, and cried out in astonishment.

”Surprised to see me?”

He Tiantian held a soldier’s shovel in her hand, its blackened blade coated with dried bloodstains.

Between the jagged teeth of the shovel’s edge, there were suspicious fragments visible.

Wang Zimo, Dong Linna, and the others dared not even think about what those fragments were.

But the sight of ”Shen Hetian” in front of them made them feel danger and oppression: his eyes were cold, his body covered in blood and filth, holding a sharp weapon, exuding an overwhelming sense of menace.

This person was far from the classmate (boyfriend) they remembered; he seemed like an Avenger crawling back from hell!

Avenger?!

Well, maybe they shouldn’t have left Shen Hetian behind, but seeking advantage and avoiding harm to save themselves was instinctual.

After all, they were just classmates (boyfriend), with no direct responsibility either by blood or law.

Shen Hetian couldn’t hold them to a Saint’s standard, they were mere mortals.

”Hetian, we really had no choice. We’re just ordinary college students, lacking even the ability to protect ourselves, much less rescue others!”

Wang Zimo took a few deep breaths, trying to calm his erratic heartbeat.

He forced a smile, attempting to reason with ”Shen Hetian.”

”...I had a fever, and you assumed I was infected with the Zombie Virus, but I hadn’t even come into contact with zombies!”

”But, it doesn’t matter now. You were worried I’d turn into a zombie, so tying me up was just a precaution!”

”The announcement said the military was coming and told everyone to gather at the East School Gate. I understand you didn’t want to take me along. After all, you aren’t anyone to me, leaving me behind is normal.”

”But you shouldn’t have kept me tied up, and especially shouldn’t have left without even closing the door. Did you forget there were zombies wandering in the hallway outside?”

”...Oh, right, you did say you weren’t abandoning me, but rather went to get the military to save me!”

”So I just want to ask, since you escaped, have you informed the military about me?”

He Tiantian didn’t hold back in the slightest, laying bare Wang Zimo and the others’ actions.

Especially the last question, although He Tiantian hadn’t confirmed it, she dared to bet by the terror-stricken look of these people, that they couldn’t even keep their emotions in check, let alone worry about the roommate (boyfriend) they left in the dormitory.

Indeed, upon hearing He Tiantian’s words, especially the last question, even the usually eloquent Wang Zimo was at a loss for words.

Dong Linna and the others looked guilty: damn it, they had indeed forgotten Shen Hetian.

Hardly managing to reach the East School Gate, and seeing the gathered troops, they were only consumed by fear and relief, completely forgetting Shen Hetian.

”Hetian, we, we were just too scared, and you don’t know the terrible things we went through escaping campus.”

”...We’re sorry, Hetian, we didn’t do it on purpose!”
