The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Reflecting on all this and looking at the arrangements in the room, He Tiantian finally started to feel a sense of reality.

She was back, back to reality.

She picked up her phone to check the time, 03:16 AM.

The friend circle had quieted down, the latest messages still being the many New Year greetings from two hours ago.

He Tiantian’s few WeChat groups were also silent, everyone must have finished watching the Spring Festival Gala, stayed up until the Year Pass, and then gone to sleep!

Everything was very quiet, and He Tiantian inexplicably felt at ease.

She put down the phone, suppressed the various tasks in the task world, and closed her eyes as she slowly drifted into dreams!

”Tiantian, Happy New Year!”

She slept until late morning, only waking up leisurely.

Getting out of bed, pulling open the curtains, and opening the door, she saw Yuan Mei already up.

She changed into new clothes, smilingly greeted He Tiantian.

”Sister Mei, Happy New Year!”

He Tiantian returned a bright smile to Yuan Mei.

In her heart, she added: Sister Mei, long time no see! Happy New Year.

Yuan Mei couldn’t hear He Tiantian’s inner voice, she just suddenly felt the girl’s eyes were a bit strange.

She wanted to take a closer look but noticed the other was still smiling lightly.

Hmm? Did I see it wrong?

Yuan Mei wondered silently, but she didn’t pay too much attention to it.

After all, as sharp and imaginative as Yuan Mei was, she couldn’t think that this ”prodigy girl” before her could travel through multiple novel worlds, with an inner depth and strength rivaling that of an old fox a thousand years old!

”Any plans for today? How about going to Yonghe Palace to offer incense?”

Yuan Mei knew that although He Tiantian had relatives, she was like an orphan.

Alone in the Capital City, with no familiar family, friends, or neighbors around, the major holiday made it truly somewhat bleak.

Yuan Mei didn’t want to see He Tiantian staying at home in a daze all by herself, going out a bit to feel the culture of the bustling Capital City could be considered to absorb some of the worldly warmth, so she wouldn’t feel too lonely.

”Going to Yonghe Palace now?”

He Tiantian glanced at the clock on the wall, the hands already pointing to 10:25!

Hmm, it’s almost noon.

He Tiantian wasn’t from the Capital City and had never spent the New Year there.

But based on common sense, He Tiantian could guess that places like Yonghe Palace, where incense is burned for blessings, would be extremely crowded on the first day of the New Year.

Some people, estimate that on New Year’s Eve, would line up just to snag the first incense of the new year.

If He Tiantian and the others went now, they would probably only see a sea of heads.

Not to mention burning incense, they probably wouldn’t even see the face of the Bodhisattva!

”How about going to the Forbidden City?”

Yuan Mei suggested again.

He Tiantian thought for a moment and said, ”Let’s go to Badaling instead. Climb the Great Wall and see our magnificent landscapes!”

Among the famous sights of the Capital City, it seemed the Great Wall was more spacious.

Even if there were many people, it wouldn’t be overly crowded!

”Okay, I’ll get ready right away!”

Besides preparing the car, Yuan Mei also thoughtfully prepared drinks, snacks, and the like.

Half an hour later, the car slowly drove out of the alley, heading all the way to Badaling.

The Great Wall on the first day of the New Year was truly quiet and cold.

A small gust of wind blew, turning faces and ears red with cold.

He Tiantian seemed unable to feel all this; she excitedly held her phone, following the flow of people, climbing ahead all the way.

The simple and unadorned city bricks, the undulating mountains, and the dry branches and green pines around gave He Tiantian a strange feeling.

In front of nature, humans are truly insignificant.

The Great Wall beneath her feet was indeed a great miracle created by humanity.

He Tiantian was leaning against the wall, shouting a few times into the vast sky and land, as if her entire heart and chest were opening up.

The depression and turbid air in her chest completely dissipated.

Like a dutiful tourist, she took many silly photos, and the Great Wall trip was considered complete.

In the evening, Yuan Mei and He Tiantian returned to the city, found a nice restaurant, and had a wonderful New Year’s feast.

While eating, He Tiantian’s phone rang.

Hmm? Feng Jing, Director Feng?

To speak of it, since she came to the Capital City to audition before the New Year, Feng Jing had not called He Tiantian.

At most, he would send a message, or they would like each other’s posts in the friend circle.

For instance, last night and this morning, He Tiantian received New Year greetings from Director Feng.

Although the content of the messages didn’t seem like mass sends, they weren’t particularly enthusiastic either.

He Tiantian raised an eyebrow, already sent messages in the morning, why call in the evening?

Could there have been a change regarding the movie?

Did Director Feng finally decide not to wait for her and want to choose another actress?
