The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Zhou Rujin felt that the whole society seemed to be gaslighting women.

If you don’t breastfeed your child, if you don’t breastfeed until the child is three, it’s as if you’re not a competent, loving mother!

Does pushing a mother to the brink of mental and physical exhaustion over breastfeeding trivialities, nearly to the point of collapse, making her depression flare up and even seeking death with her child—is this true motherly love?!

Is breast milk truly all-powerful?

Is formula really that reprehensible?

It’s not poison, yet it can free mothers, let them have a good sleep, reduce anxiety, and give them more energy to care for their children.

Isn’t that better?

Besides, Zhou Rujin is not an ordinary woman; she is the eldest princess of a wealthy family.

It’s not that wealthy people are inherently superior, but with money, she can make more choices.

She can buy the best formula; she can hire professional childcare providers.

Not like ordinary families, overly worried about the cost of formula and diapers, putting all the pressure on a woman whose hormones are already in disarray.

During Zhou Rujin’s pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum recovery, she heard too much nagging from her mother-in-law.

Sometimes, she couldn’t help but think: are those who tout natural births, breastfeeding, and cloth diapers really concerned about the well-being of the mother and child, or just trying to save money?!

If C-sections, formula, and disposable diapers were free, would those people still brainwash women so relentlessly?

Alright, Zhou Rujin admits, being cooped up at home all day, spending time with a mother-in-law whose values clashed with hers drove her to negativity.

Her thoughts became overly extreme.

But Zhou Rujin still believes that a mother’s love for her child should not be rigidly ”standardized”!

”Forget it, let’s just go with formula!”

Zhou Rujin was so used to her mother-in-law constantly harping on about milk supply that she became ”accustomed” to it.

Now, standing in front of He Tiantian, an outsider, Zhou Rujin didn’t bother to hide her thoughts.

At most, she avoided saying anything too awkward or private.

She ignored Mrs. Feng’s dark expression and called out loudly, ”Aunt Chen, please bring the formula I left in the second-floor storage room. It’s the one my friend specially sent from Australia!”

”No! You can’t feed with formula! How could our family’s baby be fed with formula?”

Mrs. Feng exclaimed, showing little respect for Zhou Rujin, the wealthy daughter-in-law.

She adopted the manner in which her own mother-in-law had once lectured her, preparing to scold Zhou Rujin as usual from a high horse.

However, Zhou Rujin didn’t give Mrs. Feng the chance to act out. She raised her head and coldly stared at her mother-in-law.

The aura of a princess from a wealthy family, the domineering presence of the Zhou Family’s heir, was unleashed in an instant.

Her gaze exuded nobility, detachment, and the sharp decisiveness of a true superior.

This was the first time she put on the airs of a wealthy family in front of the Feng family.

In the past, she cared about Feng Mingtang’s face, not wanting to be accused of bullying and disrespecting her in-laws...

In the past, she was utterly foolish.

This is why she did so many inexplicable things.

Love is not one-sided, nor is it lowly!

At this moment, Zhou Rujin regained her clarity of mind and, reflecting on her past actions, couldn’t help but wish she could slap herself!

She must have been cursed!

Someone must have placed a spell on her!!

This is why she compromised for the so-called ”love” against her parents’ wishes, lowering herself and continuously retreating!

Even a rural old lady could deceive her like she was a fool...

Her past self was truly laughable, too absurd.

Even her parents, her family, became the laughingstock of the wealthy circle.

All her past experiences were an insult to the elite education she received since childhood and her entire ability.

However, now is not the time for regret!

Though it is a little late, it’s still not too late.

Zhou Rujin secretly made up her mind and dealt with Mrs. Feng even more dominantly.

Mrs. Feng was just a rural old lady who had never seen the world.

In the past, Zhou Rujin compromised with Mrs. Feng for the sake of Feng Mingtang, for the so-called reputation, or simply because she was cursed.

Now, she won’t back down and even displayed her demeanor as a princess from a wealthy family, which directly intimidated Mrs. Feng.

Mrs. Feng instinctively took two steps back, all the reprimands stuck in her throat, not a word could come out.

”Alright! I’ll go get it now!”

Seeing Mrs. Feng not causing a scene, and Zhou Rujin being so assertive, the nanny sent by the Zhou family, Aunt Chen, quickly responded and dashed upstairs to fetch the items.
