The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

This child has the distinctive phoenix eyes of the Zhao Family, narrow and long, with slightly upturned eye corners, possessing a unique allure.

And, considering the meticulous nature of Empress Dowager He’s actions, since she pushed Zhao Qing to the forefront, she must have made all necessary preparations.

In terms of ”identity,” there should be no loopholes at all.

Perhaps, this Zhao Qing in front of us might indeed be the late Emperor’s bloodline.

However, whether he is the legitimate eldest of the legitimate line isn’t certain.

Feng Shou looked at Zhao Qing, then at the already stupefied Zhao Gui and Zhao Yao, the two ill-fated brothers.

He closed his eyes tightly, giving up, giving up. After all, as long as the Emperor of Dayuan is still a ”Zhao,” he has not violated the alliance with the late Emperor.

And he, this old man, really doesn’t have many years left to live.

All he asks is for Empress Dowager He to wait a few more years, until he closes his eyes for good. Whether she continues to hold court or enthrones a new ruler, it will no longer concern him, Feng Shou!

Feng Shou completely gave up.

The noble families represented by Wang Yuan were also very pleased to have a young little Emperor.

The Imperial Family, and those with Military Merit, seemed to be glad that Empress Dowager He found the lost bloodline of the late Emperor among the common people.

The other court officials: ...Wow, there’s so much gossip to engage in!

The only ones who were unhappy, most likely, were Prince Liang and Prince Han, who had ”made wedding dresses for others!”

Damn it, if they had known that Lady He had such preparations, why did they bother to network so frantically earlier?

They desperately dethroned Zhao Gui, yet gained no benefits themselves, only to watch as Empress Dowager He effortlessly placed some legitimate eldest grandson on the Dragon Throne.

It was laughable that Prince Liang had just been dreaming, thinking that Empress Dowager He lost to him and his mother.

Of course, the most dejected and incredulous person was Emperor Yongcheng.

Even as he was dragged from the Dragon Throne, stripped of the Dragon Robe, and locked in a side palace, he couldn’t snap out of it.

”Mother really doesn’t want me anymore?”

”She... she would rather let some wild child from who knows where become Emperor than let me be?”

”And those few knaves like Tao Yong, they not only didn’t help me, but even helped that little wild bastard? Don’t they care about their own daughters?”

Locked in the side palace, with layers of guards at the doors, Emperor Yongcheng became a deposed Emperor, a prisoner.

He finally reacted, and realized his situation, spinning around frantically, muttering continuously.

”...Empress Dowager has already enthroned Zhao Qing as Emperor, with the reign title of Pingkang.”

”Lady He dislikes being called the Empress Dowager, which sounds old, so she changed it to Heavenly Empress, thus becoming Heavenly Empress He!”

”The deposed Emperor Zhao Gui is titled King Shun and will be relocated to Daming Palace! Heavenly Empress He shows mercy, feeling for the deposed Emperor’s Empress Lady Tao and Consort Han, who are young and innocent, allowing them to return home and remarry...”

One piece of information after another was relayed into Emperor Yongcheng’s ears through the guards.

”Haha! Hahaha! So that’s it, she had already negotiated terms with the Tao, Han, and other families!”

Thus, Tao Yong and the others did not block the deposing of Emperor Yongcheng but instead helped secretly — without the endorsement of these old ministers, Zhao Qing could never have sat on that chair.

”Heavenly Empress? Heavenly Empress He?”

Compared to Emperor Yongcheng’s madness, Zheng Nianer, who was sent by He Tiantian to accompany Emperor Yongcheng, keenly grasped the point.

As a time-traveling woman from the future, she was too familiar with that historically unique Female Emperor.

Before the Wuh Family claimed the throne, many arrangements were made.

Her titles also changed frequently, with Heavenly Empress being one of them!

”She wants to be a Female Emperor! She... she —” How dare she?

As a fellow woman, Zheng Nianer, even with a modern soul, priding herself on being independent and strong.

But after coming to this ancient time, binding with the Palace Fighting System, she merely thought of contending with women to become a so-called Palace Fighting champion.

In contrast, look at Empress Dowager He, or rather now to be called Heavenly Empress He, she was just a native, never thinking about any palace fighting.

First, she directly eliminated the late Emperor, solving the problem of women’s contention at the root.

Then, upon realizing her son was useless, she prepared herself to become Emperor.

The key is that she was smart enough to fan the flames and follow the currents.

She surpassed the Wuh Family, she didn’t seize the throne from her own son, but ”had no choice” but to tread the path of a Female Emperor.

While Emperor Yongcheng was seemingly lapsing into madness, and Zheng Nianer was shocked and awed, He Tiantian quietly arrived at the side palace, having arranged matters in the Previous Dynasty.

”Mother, you’re so ruthless!”

”I was wrong, Mother, I know I was wrong!”
