The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 1077: Chapter 410: My Husband Is the Supporting Male Lead (Part 9)

Sujin’s face lit up upon hearing her lady’s words, ”Miss, are you saying you have a way to return to the capital?”

So, they wouldn’t have to suffer in this remote and shabby temple anymore?!

”What do you mean by ’I have a way to return to the capital’?”

He Shu smiled faintly and said, ”I volunteered to come to the temple to transcribe scriptures for my father, not because I did something wrong and was exiled by the family!”

She was free, she could return to the capital at any time!

In fact, the elders felt all sorts of guilt towards her.

She came to the temple merely to temporarily avoid He Tian.

Now that ”He Tian” has smoothly married into Prince Qi’s Mansion, her return visits home should also be completed, from now on, ”He Tian” is a daughter who is married off.

There are customs and laws; even without a mother-in-law, He Tian cannot return to her natal family at will.

Moreover, considering the timing, Second Uncle should be returning to the Northwest.

He Shu is He Jing’s biological niece, they are family.

When He Jing leaves the capital, He Shu should also see him off.

Therefore, He Shu’s reasons for leaving the temple are all readily available.

What He Shu wanted wasn’t just to return to the capital, but for people from the Marquis Mansion to take the initiative to come and fetch her!

She wasn’t wronged for punishment, she was wronged and bullied.

Even though Ma Family favors her, there’s still the Grand Madam in the Marquis Mansion.

Even Second Uncle, perhaps more concerned with his own family, is nevertheless very rule-abiding and reasonable in major matters!

Indeed, just on the third day of He Tiantian’s return visit, when He Shu had been at Jingyue Temple for less than half a month, the housekeeper nanny by Ma Family’s side accompanied the Main Lady together to bring He Shu and her servants back to the Marquis Mansion.

”My dear child, you’ve suffered!”

Main Lady touched her daughter’s somewhat thin hand with tears streaming down.

Blame her, it was all her fault; if she had had the ability to protect her only daughter, her Shushu wouldn’t have suffered like this.

Clearly, Shushu was the one being framed.

Just because He Tian had a good father, she not only avoided punishment but even turned to bully He Shu!

Every time she thought about ”He Tian’s” return visit the other day, so showy and glorious, and Prince Qi’s indulgence and tolerance towards ”He Tian”, Main Lady’s heart felt as if being pierced by needles.

Her daughter was still suffering in the temple, while ”He Tian,” the calamity maker, was living freely and happily!

Why!

God was just too unfair!

The always kind and gentle Main Lady suddenly had a bit of resentment towards He Jing and Ma Family.

”Mom, I’m fine!”

He Shu held the Main Lady’s hand back gently, comforting, ”Daddy’s memorial ceremony, I’m transcribing scriptures and holding rituals for him, it’s only right!”

In ancient times, filial piety was above everything.

He Shu went to Jingyue Temple to pray for her father, on one hand to avoid He Tian, the ticking bomb, on the other to receive the guilt from Grand Madam, Ma Family, and others, and thirdly to earn a good name for being filial.

A triple gain, suffering a bit during the process, was nothing at all.

”Your daddy?”

Hearing her daughter mention her deceased husband, Main Lady felt a pang of sorrow: ”How wonderful it would be if your Daddy were still alive!”

Her husband was Marquis Nanning, and she would still be the dignified and prestigious Marchioness.

Their Shushu would also be the noble daughter of the Marquis Mansion.

Unlike now, clearly, they, mother and daughter, were the owners of the Marquis Mansion, but ended up becoming burdens relying on the Second Brother to live.

”...” He Shu had a moment of silence.

In fact, even if her deceased father were not dead, the He Family would still be the most glorious with He Jing.

There was no choice; He Jing’s body was too weak, completely unable to undergo martial arts training.

The He Family’s military power couldn’t be lost, and the one who inherited the influence within He Family Army was He Jing.

He Jing could at most be a titular Marquis, without any real power.

Even if he were alive, He Shu could at most have the title of legitimate daughter of the Marquis Mansion.

Still not as good as He Tian’s strong backing.

Of course, an empty title is still a title; if He Jing were alive, He Shu wouldn’t be as pitiful as she is now.

Not to mention, in marriage alone, He Shu wouldn’t face so much difficulty.

Unfortunately, He Jing has been deceased for over ten years, He Shu, the once legitimate eldest daughter of the Marquis, now finds it hard even to marry a prince who isn’t favored.

Thinking about Seventh Prince Zhou Jin, He Shu felt somewhat dejected.

She didn’t love this ”childhood friend” much; ancient boudoir women had very limited interactions with men outside their family.

Those who could make her feel pleasant, were young, not overly greasy, and belonged to prominent families with some talent and looks; they were indeed rare.

One could say, Zhou Jin is the best candidate He Shu could reach.
