The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 1055: Chapter 402: My Husband Is a Supporting Male Lead (Part 1)_3

”How much exactly? Even if there’s no specific number, there should at least be a range.”

He Tiantian asked calmly.

Student Xiao D couldn’t discern her mood from He Tiantian’s expression or tone, so he forced a smile and said, ”At least 6 points, up to 20 points!”

Unlike the previous antivirus tasks He Tiantian had done, which were basically worth 60 points.

There was no cap on the maximum.

Of course, so far, they hadn’t touched this ”cap” or even come close.

Getting 60 points already made He Tiantian one of the best among many writers!

The range of 6 to 20 points seemed somewhat beneath He Tiantian, who was used to high point rewards.

However, the feeling of amnesia in the task world wasn’t very pleasant.

He Tiantian needed to recuperate not just in reality but also by taking on some different tasks to balance it out.

After pondering for a moment, He Tiantian asked, ”So, what are these tasks?”

”And why doesn’t the system impose restrictions on character settings, plots, and so on?”

It allows writers a lot of flexibility in their work.

He Tiantian felt that there must be a reason why the system made such a rule out of nowhere.

Student Xiao D: ...Of course, our Tiantian is the smartest and most alert.

Sigh, there’s really nothing she can’t see through.

Student Xiao D sighed deeply within his core, while his fluffy, round body leaned closer to He Tiantian.

He organized his thoughts and then slowly explained the reason—

”Here’s the thing, after the core system was infected, a batch of very old novels was also contaminated!”

He Tiantian nodded, finding this easy to understand.

A virus invasion is indiscriminate.

New books and hot books in the library can get infected, so the old books and classics wouldn’t be spared either.

”Uh, how should I put it.”

Seeing He Tiantian nod in understanding, Student Xiao D still couldn’t relax and showed even more hesitation.

After a while, he finally found the right words, ”Some books, no matter the main characters or the plot, wouldn’t have been problematic when read ten years ago!”

The audience loved them, some even revered them as classics.

”But after ten years, perhaps due to more freedom and openness of thought, or people becoming more diverse, public perceptions have changed somewhat!”

Student Xiao D continued, now sounding a bit indefinable, ”Looking at those ’classics’ with today’s perspective seems to shatter one’s outlook.”

He Tiantian raised an eyebrow; she seemed to understand now.

She even thought of some examples.

For instance, the famous Granny QY, whose works were a symbol of true love back in the day, but now, netizens couldn’t stop mocking them.

Yet, Student Xiao D worried that He Tiantian wouldn’t understand and gave examples directly, ”For instance, some works had a protagonist who was lively and cute, full of spirit and monster-like charm ten years ago.”

”But ten years later, some netizens criticized the female lead as a refined egotist or a manipulative b**** who likes morally blackmailing others!”

”And in some works, where the male supporting character was seen as a deeply loving white moonlight back then, he’s now viewed as nothing more than an attention-seeking green-tea b****!”

Uh, Student Xiao D’s description was quite vivid.

Several early works that fit this description appeared in He Tiantian’s mind.

”...I understand what you mean, but what does this have to do with antivirus tasks?”

”Did the virus cause these main character settings to collapse?”

Originally just suspiciously top-grade, but after the virus, they turned into truly top-grade, or even a big villain?!

”No!”

Student Xiao D shook his head and said, ”Many villains were infected by the virus, making them increasingly arrogant, even overshadowing the important roles—”

Forcing the well-defined female lead and the male secondary into becoming villains.

What’s more surprising for Dian Niang Book Library is that readers actually love this kind of unexpected development.

Of course, for a female supporting character to reverse roles and outshine the female lead, changing the novel from a female lead story to a female supporting character story is not a big deal.

After all, the most basic principle of Dian Niang Book Library is to satisfy the readers.

Otherwise, they wouldn’t hire writers specifically to dive into books to revise scripts.

”Isn’t that a good thing? After all, the system allows for reversals or character transformations!”

He Tiantian remarked indifferently.

In that case, it might even save the trouble of having a writer perform the tasks.

The virus itself could correct some early works that do not align with current values, preserving the library’s interests while still pleasing the readers. It’s a win-win!

”What’s good about it! Dear, those are viruses! Viruses!”

And viruses are uncontrollable. It may seem fine now, but if there are any sequelae later on, the novel world could directly collapse!
