The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 791: Chapter 314: Snatched the Female Lead’s Opportunity (Part 12) _3

Meng Yuyao placed Little Black Cat on her lap, took out her phone, snapped a photo, and then sent it out.

Interestingly enough, the staff at Love Pet Hospital was in the same cat-loving group as Meng Yuyao.

The receptionist paid attention to information from various cat-loving groups, so she saw the photo Meng Yuyao sent almost immediately.

It looked familiar, even though they were all black cats, but this one clearly had a different aura from the others.

However, the receptionist didn’t make any definitive statements. She said to Meng Yuyao, ”This cat looks somewhat similar to a Little Black Cat we treated a few days ago. I have the phone number of the person who temporarily adopted it. Maybe you could call and ask?”

What does ”temporary owner” mean?

Meng Yuyao thought the receptionist’s phrasing was a bit odd, but she didn’t dwell on it.

She asked for the number, expressed her thanks, then exited the chat window.

She dialed the number the receptionist had given her.

The phone rang a few times before someone picked it up.

Meng Yuyao quickly began, ”Hello, I found a Little Black Cat on the street—”

He Tiantian: ...

This voice sounded vaguely familiar.

She lifted the phone to her face and examined it closely. She didn’t recognize the number.

But the female voice on the other end was definitely one she had heard before.

Wait a minute!

A figure flashed through He Tiantian’s mind and she tentatively asked, ”Meng Yuyao?”

Meng Yuyao was about to ask the person if she had lost a cat, then heard her own name.

She paused, then asked bewilderingly, ”I am Meng Yuyao, who are you? Do you know me?”

She also held the phone in front of her face, reconfirming the number she had dialed—it was indeed an unfamiliar number.

On the other end, He Tiantian suddenly felt like cursing.

Damn!

It really was Meng Yuyao.

What did she say just now?

She had found a Little Black Cat.

And who is Little Black Cat? Meng Yuyao’s official couple, the movie star Fu Jinyan!

So...the plot had come full circle to He Tiantian and returned to the main storyline?!

”I am He Tiantian!”

He Tiantian took a deep breath, suppressing the messy thoughts in her mind.

She regained her composure and slowly stated, ”I did adopt a Little Black Cat, which likes to go out to play.”

”But I can’t consider myself its owner, just a temporary caregiver, because I don’t really like cats—”

Since the female and male leads had met, there was no need for He Tiantian to play the role of a spoiler.

Little Black Cat Fu was a hot potato for her and now that the female lead had appeared, and Little Black Cat was originally supposed to be a part of the female lead’s opportunity.

Might as well return it to her.

This time, with the male lead transformed into a cat, the relationship between the female and male leads might turn out deeper and sweeter than in the original plot.

”...” Meng Yuyao was a bit stunned when she heard He Tiantian’s words.

She had the vague impression that He Tiantian seemed eager to hand over the Little Black Cat to her.

”By the way, do you like cats?”

This question from He Tiantian further confirmed Meng Yuyao’s suspicion.

Meng Yuyao swallowed, looked down at Little Black Cat in her arms, and instinctively said, ”I do! But—”

She did like cats, but she couldn’t simply take over someone else’s adopted pet without reason.

Did He Tiantian’s rush to rid herself of the cat matter to the little cat?

”If you like cats, that’s great. Why don’t you take Little Black and keep him?”

He Tiantian seemed to be in a hurry, quickly hung up the phone after saying this.

Hearing the beeping sound from the receiver, Meng Yuyao stood there, stunned.

Little Black Cat Fu, however, flicked his tail. Leaving that selfish and utilitarian little star was a good thing. Compared to He Tiantian, he preferred the gentle and cute girl currently holding him.

Perhaps she wasn’t as beautiful or capable as He Tiantian.

But this girl’s temperament was pure, her eyes clear, a type he rarely encountered.

Coupled with that glance at the intersection, Little Black Cat Fu felt he had recognized this cute, round-faced girl!

”...So, your owner—oh no, your temporary caregiver seems very busy, why don’t you come home with me for now?”

Since Meng Yuyao knew He Tiantian was busy, it didn’t seem right to keep bothering her with phone calls.

Meng Yuyao simply picked up Little Black Cat and walked toward her home.

In the embrace filled with the fresh scent of pomelo, Little Black Cat felt as if his Divine Soul had been soothed.

As Meng Yuyao walked, Little Black Cat felt himself swaying up and down, and slowly, he fell asleep in the rhythmic motion.

When Little Black Cat, ahem, no, when Fu Jinyan opened his eyes again, he found himself back in his own body...
