The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 789: Chapter 314: Snatched the Female Lead’s Opportunity (Part 12)

Little Black Cat, oh no, it was Fu Jinyan, gazed at the woman before him with a complex look in his eyes.

Originally, he thought that He Tiantian, who had saved him, was a beautiful and kind person, just like him, a little fairy who loved furry creatures.

She had saved him entirely out of kindness, beauty, and a love for small animals.

However, the reality was completely the opposite.

This He Tiantian was indeed very beautiful, but she didn’t like cats or dogs and didn’t seem to be a very pure or simple person.

She was a newcomer in the entertainment industry, and her eyes held the same ambition and utilitarianism that Fu Jinyan was familiar with.

Just like many women he had encountered in the circle.

Fu Jinyan couldn’t say he disliked her, but he definitely didn’t like her either, let alone admire her.

Yet, this woman might not have made his heart beat faster, but she had indeed genuinely saved Xuan Mo and him, Fu Jinyan.

So, if there was an opportunity, Fu Jinyan would repay her.

But to want more, like committing to her, that he couldn’t do.

”Little Black, do you actually have an owner? If you do, do you still remember where?”

He Tiantian was still pretending not to see the complex emotions in Little Black Cat’s eyes that only humans would have.

She purposefully rambled, ”It would be great if you could remember. Once your injuries are fully healed, you can find your way back.”

”It’s not that I can’t afford to keep you, I just really don’t like cats and don’t know how to take care of them!”

”Luckily, the assistant I just hired has had pets before and can help me take care of you, otherwise, Little Black, you would have to fend for yourself.”

”...I really can’t blame myself for this, my mind went blank and I saved you, but I really can’t take care of you like a family member.”

He Tiantian continued with her ”disclaimer.”

Although she didn’t know why she had to say this, her instincts told her.

Some things, it’s better to get the ”ugly truth” out of the way first.

After all, she never thought of leveraging a cat to form a connection with movie star Fu Jinyan, nor would she try to please him with ”common interests”.

Thus, He Tiantian didn’t mind revealing her true nature in front of Fu Jinyan.

Fu Jinyan: ...

Alright, alright, I get it!

I know you don’t like cats. As soon as I can move freely, I’ll go home myself!

Perhaps due to becoming a cat, Fu Jinyan, counter to his typically aloof character, also began to roll his eyes and rant.

He closed his eyes, a cat-like purring sound emanated from his throat, and soon after, he fell asleep.

Seeing Fu Jinyan like this, He Tiantian knew that her words had taken effect.

Yep, she and the female lead, Meng Yuyao, had completely different personalities; she couldn’t mimic Meng Yuyao’s simplicity, kindness, and beauty.

And she wouldn’t become a little fairy like the female lead.

So, that Little Light Ball in her sea of consciousness definitely had something wrong with it, letting her steal the female lead’s opportunity and walk the path meant for the female lead.

It didn’t consider that making a selfish, ambitious Female Supporting Character forcefully fit into the kind and perfect female lead’s character role would definitely mess up the plot.

Mess up the plot?

Such familiar words, as if they were already engraved deep in her sea of consciousness.

He Tiantian tilted her head, thought carefully, but still couldn’t figure out why she was so concerned about the words ”mess up the plot.”

Never mind, if she couldn’t figure it out, she wouldn’t think about it, as long as she acted on instinct, she wouldn’t be wrong!

He Tiantian shook her head to clear the messy thoughts in her mind.

Leaving aside ”messing up the plot,” Fu Jinyan was no fool either.

As a movie star who had fought his way through the entertainment industry for over a decade and even started his own entertainment company, his intelligence and capability were definitely not to be underestimated.

Unless He Tiantian could constantly suppress her ”dislike for cats” and always put on a show in front of Fu Jinyan, sooner or later, Fu Jinyan would realize the issues.

Constantly pretending to be someone else (that is, the female lead), He Tiantian could do it, but it was too burdensome for her.

Plus, it wasn’t necessary.

She had already succeeded in making Fu Jinyan owe her a ”life-saving favor” and had got a hold of this big opportunity.

Maybe being Mrs. Fu directly could bring more benefits, but, as repaying her, Fu Jinyan would also provide He Tiantian with many conveniences.

That was enough.

Originally, He Tiantian didn’t even want to have any relationship with Fu Jinyan.

She could make her way in the entertainment industry on her own.

Yep, that’s the confidence she had, otherwise, she would be sorry for all the skills she possessed.
