The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 648: Chapter 261 My Mother-in-law is a Loyal Servant (Part 5)_3

Unfortunately, He Tiantian had already walked far away and simply couldn’t see their expressions.

”Eldest Miss, be careful, it’s hot. Eat slowly!”

He Tiantian held the porridge bowl and spoon, gently blowing on it while feeding Wei Yuanniang.

Wei Yuanniang hadn’t tasted meat for many days, and suddenly smelling the meatiness, even her feeble self seemed to gain a little more spirit.

She chewed greedily, swallowing. Perhaps she was extremely hungry, or perhaps it was an illusion, but Wei Yuanniang felt that this bowl of porridge tasted better than any delicacy she had ever eaten.

Her small face was wrapped up, leaving only a pair of eyes and a mouth visible.

Outsiders couldn’t see her expression, but He Tiantian’s Divine Soul was powerful, and her six senses were keen. She clearly felt that chill emanating from Wei Yuanniang’s body.

If one could use colored gas to represent emotions, then at that moment, a thick layer of dark energy enveloped Wei Yuanniang’s small body.

”Wow, what heavy negative energy.”

Student Xiao D was somewhat taken aback and couldn’t help but blurt out a remark.

However, He Tiantian showed no abnormality; she seemed to not feel that black energy, nor any cold sensation.

She was just patiently feeding her, with a gentle expression that also held a trace of humility, as if a loyal servant was attending to their most respected master!

Of course, while cultivating the ”loyal servant” persona, He Tiantian did not forget to covertly observe Wei Yuanniang.

Although Wei Yuanniang’s face was currently covered by cloth, discoveries could still be made through her exposed eyes.

He Tiantian keenly felt that Wei Yuanniang was indeed darkening, but she didn’t seem to have a very clear object of hatred.

Logically, if Wei Yuanniang were truly awakened and knew her fate, she should be full of hatred.

And on her blacklist of enemies, ”Gu Xiuniang,” her birth mother, would definitely be a prime candidate.

According to the script’s description, later on, when Nanny Zhao exposes Gu Xiuniang, she said that Gu Xiuniang scorned having a daughter and coveted the wealth of the Marquis Mansion, so she conspired with a troublesome servant by the Marchioness’s side and secretly switched children.

No matter if Gu Xiuniang favored sons over daughters or wanted to use her child to scheme against the Marquis Mansion, she knew that Wei Yuanniang was her own flesh and blood.

But, after falling into hardship at the Marquis Mansion, everyone was escorted to the capital and imprisoned in the Heavenly Prison, and sold off, among other things, Wei Yuanniang suffered a great deal.

For the most part of the time, Gu Xiuniang watched from the sidelines but did not show a trace of warmth towards Wei Yuanniang.

Even without awakening, Wei Yuanniang would resent Gu Xiuniang, her birth mother.

After awakening and knowing that Gu Xiuniang did not actively wish to switch her for the young master of the Marquis Mansion, she would still begrudge Gu Xiuniang.

Because Gu Xiuniang still disdained her for being a girl and wanted to exchange her for a poor family’s child.

In other words, whether or not Wei Yuanniang awakened, she could not remain indifferent towards ”Gu Xiuniang.”

However, at this moment, Wei Yuanniang, although already turning dark, had a gaze toward He Tiantian that wasn’t fraught with complex emotions, but was simply curious and grateful.

How interesting, why would Wei Yuanniang display such contradictory behavior?

Perhaps He Tiantian’s guess was correct. Wei Yuanniang had indeed awakened, but she also had a Heart Demon. With the Small World being reset, she deliberately forgot certain things.

She simply felt pain but did not know the source of that pain.

She would be wary of people like Mrs. Zhang and Nanny Zhao, but did not understand why.

It was as if it was instinctual, more like a subconscious warning.

Although Wei Yuanniang ”forgot” some truths, that did not mean it wasn’t dangerous.

If something He Tiantian did or said provoked Wei Yuanniang, she might fully awaken and then drag the entire Small World to destruction.

Realizing this, He Tiantian felt somewhat fortunate about her own plan.

I’m glad I wasn’t wrong!

Being a ”loyal servant” has great potential indeed.

”...I’m full! Big Sister-in-law, thank you!”

Although Wei Yuanniang was very hungry, she was, after all, only four or five years old.

Her stomach was small, and after a full bowl of meat porridge, her little belly instantly swelled.

She gently pushed away the spoon and shyly thanked He Tiantian.

Feng Zhongliang was a respectable citizen and referred to as Uncle Feng by those who did business politely.

And ”Gu Xiuniang,” being his wife, naturally held the title of Mrs. Feng.

In the past, before the Marquis Mansion ran into trouble, when Gu Xiuniang went to greet Mrs. Zhang, the mansion’s people would also call her ”Big Sister-in-law” to show respect.

So now, Wei Yuanniang calling her that wasn’t considered a loss of status.

”Eldest Miss, the Lady has been as kind as a mountain to our Feng Family, and now we are simply trying to repay a fraction of that kindness—it’s really nothing worthy of your thanks!”

”In the past, we were wrong to think we’d bring trouble to the Lady and Miss by lurking behind stealthily.”

”As a result, today, Miss got hurt because of us. My wife and I feel really sorry for the Lady and Miss.”

”In the future, we won’t do that again. Since everyone is aware of the situation, continuing to hide would be a joke!”

Thus, He Tiantian would ”honorably” serve Wei Yuanniang, cherishing and holding her as if she were a little ancestor...
