The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 593: Chapter 243 Punishment_2

But Chen Nan was different; she refused to end up that way.

She resisted in an almost mutually destructive manner, stating decisively that if she couldn’t study, no one (mainly her younger brother at home) should bother living. Only then did she win the chance to attend high school.

Of course, even though her family no longer stopped her, they also did not pay her tuition.

Chen Nan used the holidays to either collect scrap or work in restaurants and internet cafes, barely scraping together enough for tuition and living expenses.

After arriving at County First Middle School, she studied desperately, not wasting a single minute.

Because studying could change her fate, and most importantly, at County First Middle School, students with excellent grades could receive scholarships.

Each semester a few hundred yuan, just enough for Chen Nan to buy some tutoring books and test papers.

Chen Nan was smart and hardworking, with a fierce determination deep in her bones.

In a twenty-four-hour day, she could study for twenty, sleeping only four hours, and even during meals, she would not forget to read and memorize vocabulary.

This was the real world, where He Tiantian couldn’t foresee the plot like in the script world.

However, just from seeing how hard Chen Nan worked and how decisive she was, He Tiantian would bet that she would definitely succeed and become the true female lead.

Definitely the female lead, because not only was Chen Nan hardworking, she was also very kind.

There were six people in the dormitory, divided into three small groups.

Wu Xiaohan and Liu Qian were together; they were good friends with Zhou Zixuan, so they were somewhat exclusive toward Zhou Zixuen and He Tiantian.

Zhou Zixuen and Ma Siqi got along well, often going to classes, the cafeteria, and the restroom together.

He Tiantian, being the last person to join the dormitory and once considered a ”problem” student, initially seemed out of place.

It was only later, after getting along, that He Tiantian gradually became friends with Zhou Zixuen and Ma Siqi.

But the three of them also had three chat groups—

One, with Zhou Zixuen, He Tiantian, and Ma Siqi together.

Two, just between Zhou Zixuen and Ma Siqi.

Three, between Zhou Zixuen and He Tiantian.

Well, while it might not seem very harmonious, it quite suited the specific situation of the three of them.

Moreover, as He Tiantian’s nickname ”He Xianer” became more famous, her friendship with Zhou Zixuen and Ma Siqi grew deeper.

The two smaller groups were slowly being neglected, while the trio’s group became even more lively.

Wu Xiaohan and Liu Qian probably also had several chat groups in their phones.

Young girls, after all, had their own numerous little groups.

The only exception in High School Grade 2 Class 7 was Chen Nan.

Her phone was even one of those semi-smartphones for the elderly.

Besides making calls and sending texts, she basically didn’t use many chat apps.

She kept a Vxin and a Qie for receiving class group notifications or downloading course materials.

Otherwise, Chen Nan probably wouldn’t have spent over a hundred yuan on this antique that not even the elderly might use.

As for creating chat groups, Chen Nan wouldn’t do it because instead of chatting with classmates, she’d rather solve a few more problems.

Or attend the part-time job arranged by the school to accommodate her.

From this aspect, Chen Nan seemed unsociable and was very indifferent towards her classmates.

That was not actually the case.

Chen Nan was simply too diligent, not lacking in kindness.

Last time, when Big Sister Duan Nana wanted to besiege He Tiantian, it was Chen Nan who secretly came to inform her.

Today was the second time.

”Okay, I got it, thank you Chen Nan!” He Tiantian sincerely thanked her.

”You’re welcome, you helped me too!”

Chen Nan, staying calm, clearly stated, ”Last time you came back from Capital City, you specifically brought me some valuable papers from Haidian, which were very useful to me!”

”It’s the least I could do; last time you helped me too,” He Tiantian said with a smile.

Chen Nan didn’t say anything more, just tugged at the corners of her mouth and flashed a smile that met societal expectations.

The flag-raising ceremony started and ended half an hour later. The students dispersed in groups of threes and twos, some heading to the restroom, some to the field, while Chen Nan quickly ran back to the classroom to continue focusing on practice problems!

He Tiantian: ...

A true study fanatic indeed.

So, she should feel honored that such a crazily studious person was willing to waste a few minutes for her.

To think, with those few minutes, Chen Nan could have memorized a dozen vocabulary words or completed a problem.

He Tiantian noted this favor, thinking of finding an opportunity to repay Chen Nan doubly.
