The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 568: Chapter 235 My Son is a Treacherous Minister (Part 11)

Certainly lives up to being the Royal County Master, her actions are so bold.

This is only the first meeting and she’s already handing out favors so generously!

He Tiantian silently gave County Lord Ling Rou a thumbs-up in her heart.

Since they were being so supportive, it seemed almost rude not to take a little more advantage of the situation.

She pretended to suddenly remember something, shrank back, timidly hiding by Princess An Kang’s side.

That fearful look, as though County Lord Ling Rou was some kind of monster that ate people, or some arrogant bully.

While showing such delicate gestures, He Tiantian didn’t forget to teasingly say, ”An Kang, did, did I say something wrong?”

Ling Rou: ...

”Ding! County Lord Ling Rou’s hatred value +5!”

Powerful, really powerful!

He Tiantian knew that her decision to leave home was the right one.

See, she had barely stepped out of the carriage, hadn’t done much, and she had already harvested 15 points of hatred value.

Moreover, for someone like County Lord Ling Rou, who was a ”big dog” in dishing out hatred, He Tiantian felt she could definitely target her for accumulating major hatred value.

”Mother, you didn’t say anything wrong!”

Princess An Kang saw her mother-in-law’s delicate and innocent appearance once again.

But unlike the past frustrations and indignation, she felt utterly delighted at this moment!

Indeed, having an evil old lady wasn’t necessarily a bad thing.

It all depended on where you put that person.

If the mother-in-law’s acting was directed at herself, it would definitely be her own suffering.

But, when the mother-in-law unleashed her killer moves on one’s own rival, the feeling was truly doubly joyful!

”I am the Commandery Princess, a first-rank. While Ling Rou is a County Lord, Second-rank; just in terms of rank, I am higher, and she ought to greet me properly!”

”Also, setting aside rank, I am older by half a year, which makes me the elder sister and she, the younger; considering the order of seniority, she should still pay her respects to me!”

An Kang’s words, seemingly responding to the mother-in-law, were actually a warning to Ling Rou.

As expected, County Lord Ling Rou, although reluctant, showed clear discontent on her face.

Still, she bit her lip, rather awkwardly greeted An Kang, ”Ling Rou pays respect to sister!”

Damn it, they were of the same age, but just because An Kang was born a few months earlier at the start of the year, she dared to act as the elder sister before her!

”Hmm!” An Kang straightened her back, her reply demure.

”An Kang, so you are actually County Lord Ling Rou’s elder sister.”

”There is an old saying, oh right, it goes like ’the elder sister is like a mother.’ Does that mean if the younger sister does something inappropriate, it’s the duty of the elder sister to guide her?”

He Tiantian, having already enjoyed some benefits from County Lord Ling Rou, naturally wouldn’t easily let go of this ”fat sheep.”

She resumed her act of pure innocence combined with a pretense of naivety, intensely irritating County Lord Ling Rou.

Ling Rou: ...I’ll knock your mother!

What ”elder sister is like a mother”?

My real mother is still alive, whom are you cursing?

Besides, with An Kang being a sidereal widow-maker in such a huge Royal Family, apart from the Empress Dowager and the Saint, no one really liked her.

Was she even worthy to act as my elder?

And she even darn had the gall to teach me a lesson?

”Ding! County Lord Ling Rou’s hatred value +5!”

”Ding! County Lord Ling Rou’s hatred value +10!”

”Ding! County Lord Ling Rou’s hatred value +5!”

Yep, He Tiantian could really understand County Lord Ling Rou; some words just make you angrier the more you think about them, and the more you hold a grudge.

And with grudges, of course, come contributions to the hatred value count!

He Tiantian was very pleased with her own moves this round.

What she hoped for next was that An Kang would be helpful and step in with a stab.

Princess An Kang didn’t disappoint her mother-in-law’s expectations; following He Tiantian’s lead, she deliberately put on a serious face and said to County Lord Ling Rou, ”Ling Rou, my Ah Jia (mother-in-law) makes a good point, as your elder sister, I should admonish you!”

”We are sisters, and in front of me, you can disregard rank and propriety, I won’t blame you!”

”But if you develop bad habits, and are disrespectful and presumptuous in front of other Nobles, it’s a minor thing if you lose face alone, but you may very likely implicate our Imperial Relatives!”

”From now on, you must be more careful, and not indulge yourself too much!”

An Kang rarely put on the airs of a Commandery Princess or an elder sister among her peers, hence her speech was not very smooth.

However, her words carried less of malice, yet they were significantly insulting to County Lord Ling Rou.

County Lord Ling Rou always prided herself on being excellent, looking down on An Kang’s pitiful cowardice.

But now, she was being reprimanded in public by someone she despised and hated the most.

Worse still, she couldn’t even utter a word in retort.
