The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 570: Chapter 235 My Son is a Treacherous Minister (Part 11)_3

Subsequently, the top ranking male student in senior year two class A caught the eye of County Lord Ling Rou.

However, the man was not a petty person greed-seeking riches and status, and he made it undeniably clear to the father of County Lord Ling Rou, Prince Qi, ”Your servant has already been betrothed and will soon be wed.”

County Lord Ling Rou, spoiled by nature, was not a legitimate daughter, yet due to her mother’s favoritism she also received the doting affection of Prince Qi.

Among the many concubine daughters, she was the first to be granted the title of County Lord through imperial decree.

She looked down on the likes of Commandery Princess An Kang and often conspired with other noble ladies to ostracize and ridicule An Kang in secret.

This clearly showed what an unbridled temperament she had.

She took a fancy to the man, thinking it beneath her to dignify him, but never anticipated he would actually refuse her.

Originally, Ling Rou wasn’t so fixated on this scholar from a poor family, but his rejection made her fixate on the man.

But since he didn’t agree, Ling Rou resorted to cutting off the supply.

She employed a few ruffians to molest the girl, forcing the girl to hang herself in resentment and despair.

Having had his beloved fiancée die an undeserved death, the man was filled with loathing for Ling Rou.

Yet Ling Rou used her power to suppress two commoners; in order to protect his family and teacher, the man had no choice but to marry Ling Rou.

A marriage obtained through such malicious means was never going to be happy.

However, Ling Rou did not see it as her own problem; she blamed her husband for being cold and indifferent, blamed her mother-in-law for not being presentable in society, and even blamed those flirtatious vixens who seduced her husband for being shameless.

”Every year, several female bodies are carried out from the back door of their house, and they are mostly tortured to death!”

He Tiantian said indifferently, ”Student Xiao D, is such a wicked and perverted person worthy of pity?”

Student Xiao D shook his round little body desperately, ”Not worthy! Tiantian, such a bad person should be stripped of all their wealth!”

He Tiantian curled her lips slightly, the mission required by the system actually seemed quite good.

Using evil to control evil, the satisfaction was doubled!

He Tiantian felt that her mission this time might be overfulfilled.

”Mother, there are too many people here, I’m afraid someone might bump into you, why don’t we—”

Upon arriving in front of the restaurant and seeing the hustle and bustle inside, Princess An Kang hesitated.

The Daxia society was liberal, and the restrictions placed on women had not yet reached an abnormal degree.

Showing one’s face and lingering in public teahouses or restaurants were not considered crossing the line.

But, if in a place that was too noisy, with men and women in contact, it was not very proper.

Of course, with An Kang’s status and rank, she could completely go to the private rooms on the second floor.

However, considering her mother-in-law was a widow who paid extra attention to propriety, An Kang couldn’t help but worry.

”What’s the big deal? Back in the countryside, during the busy farming season, I even had to work in the fields alongside those big men!”

He Tiantian waved her hand, unconcerned.

She was not like the original owner; she didn’t feel the slightest bit guilty, so she didn’t have to deliberately avoid suspicion in many matters.

”Tsk! Truly a farmer, even dressed in fine clothes can’t cover up that stench of earthiness!”

He Tiantian’s voice had just fallen when a scornful sneer came from behind.

He Tiantian’s eyes brightened, ah, someone else had offered themselves up for a shearing.

Xiao D covered his face, not bearing to watch the rich young master dressed in luxury being ”tormented” by He Tiantian!

Sigh, youngster. The world is so wide, why insist on walking the path of doom?!

But this time, the wealthy scion seemed a bit smarter than County Lord Ling Rou.

Before Princess An Kang could rebuke with a ”How dare you,” she saw the person greeting An Kang with a polite bow, ”Greetings to Commandery Princess An Kang!”

Tch, this person really knew the rules, not giving An Kang a chance to make an issue out of it.

An Kang had a soft and pure nature.

With little scheming, she did not know how to respond after being addressed like this.

It was He Tiantian who feigned frailty and asked, ”An Kang, who is this young master, and which family does he belong to?”

An Kang quickly replied, ”Mother, this is the Third Young Master from the family of Vice Minister Yang of the Ministry of Rites.”

The son of the Assistant Minister of Rites?

Oh!

He Tiantian understood why this person had come to find fault.

The reason was simple, He Xi also worked at the Ministry of Rites, and he was Vice Minister Yang’s strongest competitor.

Even though Vice Minister Yang was He Xi’s direct superior for now, it was well known in the Ministry of Rites that He Xi was highly capable and supported by a strong backer.

He was likely to be promoted by the year’s end.

And the only person standing in He Xi’s way was Vice Minister Yang.

Unfortunately for Vice Minister Yang, he had made a mistake this year, and He Xi had achieved commendable deeds; if He Xi got promoted, Vice Minister Yang might be laterally mobilized or even demoted to a provincial post.

This should be considered one of He Xi’s political adversaries.

And He Tiantian, familiar with the plot, knew that while Vice Minister Yang and He Xi clashed irreconcilably now, when the Hulu would invade the Capital City in the future, the two would unite as traitorous collaborators.

Vice Minister Yang was a treacherous and ignoble person; his sons were no better.

In particular, this Yang Sanlang, who had recently faced accusations of encroaching on commoners’ fields and abducting young girls.

No need to say more, just one word—fleece him!
