After I Died, the Scumbag Went Mad

Chapter 142: Chapter 142: I Finally Learned An Eye for an Eye

”Say another word. I dare you.” I sneered, yanking Noelle Lynch’s hair and slamming her to the ground. ”This is a warehouse. Your parents can’t hear you scream... Believe it or not, I’ll ruin that face of yours.”

Noelle Lynch was terrified, her voice trembling. ”Silvia Lynch, are you insane? If you hurt me, Mom and Dad won’t let you get away with it! Don’t think you can get away with this just because you married a madman...”

”AH!” She shrieked as my fingernail pierced the skin on her face.

”Have you forgotten how you treated me in high school? Hmm?” I recalled the entries in Silvia Lynch’s diary, and my blood began to boil.

’For some reason, I feel an irrepressible sensation bubbling up inside me.’

’When that feeling washes over me, it’s just like having low blood sugar.’

’I’ve always thought I’ve had low blood sugar since I was a child, but is that really what it is? Why... do I suddenly feel something like excitement, an adrenaline rush?’

Startled by my own thoughts, I swallowed hard and hauled Noelle Lynch to her feet. ”I remember. You had people beat me, strip off my clothes, and force me to drink from the toilet, didn’t you?”

Remembering all the things Silvia Lynch wrote in her diary made my blood boil.

’It’s as if something sealed away for a long time is about to break free from its cage.’

Noelle Lynch stared at me in horror. ”Is madness contagious? Silvia Lynch, you’re crazy! How dare you threaten...”

SLAP! I yanked her hair and slapped her hard across the face.

She opened her mouth to speak, so I slapped her again.

I slapped her until she didn’t dare make a peep.

”Noelle Lynch, your grandmother misses you. She’s at Meridia Hospital. Don’t forget to go visit her. After all... you might not get another chance.” I sneered. ’Since Asher found out Silvia Lynch’s entire adoptive family are human traffickers, he must have proof.’

’I plan to do what’s right and send all of them to prison.’

’How many families have these people destroyed? This kind of scum, the dregs of society, they all deserve to die...’

”As for you, very soon, I’m going to make you... famous all across the country.” I got up, took a deep breath, and stretched my neck.

’Since I’m using Silvia Lynch’s body, I should avenge her. It’s the only way to repay her, right?’

’She killed herself so that person wouldn’t kill me, so she wouldn’t have to take my place...’

’I don’t know why I woke up in her body, but since she had a conscience, I should take care of these scumbags for her, one by one.’

’I’ll start with the people mentioned in her diary. One by one.’

’I won’t let a single one of them go!’

”Silvia Lynch, what are you doing...” Noelle Lynch was still chattering away.

Suddenly, my ears started ringing. I felt extremely agitated, and the feeling made me lose some control of my actions.

I don’t know how long the ringing lasted. By the time I came to my senses, I had already tied Noelle Lynch up with rope and strung her up from the warehouse rafters.

She was screaming in terror, convinced I had gone insane.

I was a little shocked myself. ’Where did I get the strength to string her up there?’

Then I saw the table and the barrel on the floor and remembered. I’d used them for leverage to haul her up.

She was tied up there, her mouth gagged. She wouldn’t die, but the experience was enough to scare her to death.

I saw her dress was already soaked. She looked so pathetic. She’d probably have nightmares about this for the rest of her life.

’But how could this even compare to a thousandth of what she did to Silvia Lynch?’

The diary mentioned that Noelle Lynch had people beat Silvia Lynch until she became incontinent, and then everyone laughed at her and forced her to kneel and lick it clean...

’These people were just too cruel.’

’I never imagined the human heart could be so wicked.’

All out of jealousy, out of fear that Silvia Lynch would steal the wealthy life that was supposed to be hers, Noelle Lynch turned it all into malice and aimed her viciousness at Silvia Lynch.

”Enjoy the view. If you happen to fall, you’ll die, you know.” I hammered several long nails through a wooden plank and placed it directly beneath the suspended Noelle Lynch.

If she struggled and fell, she would land right on those nails. That would be quite a painful experience.

”Mmph...” She was still crying, her words muffled. ”Mmph... call... police...”

She was probably trying to say she wanted to call the police on me.

I laughed. ”Are there any surveillance cameras here? Who saw me tie you up? I’m pregnant; where would I get the strength to haul you up there? Besides... I’m carrying the heir to the Lancaster family. Do you really think... even if your parents found out, they’d let the police arrest me?”

’Aren’t these people still trying to use me to get their hands on the Lancaster Group? They’ll have to swallow this bitter pill, even if it kills them.’

’Forget a bitter pill, they’d have to swallow nails!’

Noelle Lynch stared at me in terror, shaking her head frantically.

’I know she’s in shock.’

’Even I... am in shock.’

’What am I doing?’

Walking out of the warehouse, I locked the door behind me.

The maid was by the back door taking out the trash. She didn’t say a word or even greet me when she saw me.

”There are rats in the warehouse. I put down some rat poison and locked the door. Don’t go in there today, or the rats might get out. Check tomorrow morning to see if they’re dead,” I said calmly.

The maid sounded impatient. ”I know.”

Apparently, Silvia Lynch’s status in this house was no different from the maid’s. She was always doing chores, so the maid had gotten used to ordering her around.

I smiled...

’They’re just reaping what they’ve sown.’

’Some evil teeters on the edge of the law, trampling all over morality. Is there really nothing that can keep it in check?’

’Everything has a cause and an effect. The trajectory of all things is like a pre-calculated formula. You will always reap what you sow.’

’It’s a repeating cycle, and retribution never fails.’

”Leaving already? Go home and sweet-talk that idiot. Hurry up and get control of the Lancaster Group. You’re so incompetent you can’t even handle a simpleton?” Jude Lynch added impatiently when he saw I was about to leave.

I smiled at him. ”Alright.”

”Silvia, darling, people at the Lancaster Group are giving your sister a hard time. She has to run out to construction sites every day. She’s completely worn out! You need to find a way to help her get transferred to a different post,” Mrs. Lynch chided Silvia. ”You’re the older sister; you have to look out for her. She’s younger than you and has never had to suffer. She’s not tough like you are.”

I raised an eyebrow at Mrs. Lynch. ”Blood ties really are worthless, aren’t they...”

Mrs. Lynch froze for a second. ”What’s that supposed to mean?”

”Have you ever heard the expression?” I smiled meaningfully and made a gun shape with my hand. ”The bullet you fire carelessly will one day... circle all the way back around and hit you in the spine.”

”BANG!” I said with a smile, mimicking a gunshot, then blew on my fingertip and turned to leave.

Mrs. Lynch clearly didn’t understand. She said angrily, ”Jude, has she grown some backbone? Daring to lecture me now? Where’s Noelle? At least Noelle is still sensible.”

”I saw Noelle Lynch leave a little while ago,” I said with a small smile, getting into the car Owen Foster had waiting for me.

’They care so much about Noelle Lynch. When they see their precious daughter hanging in the warehouse, they’ll probably go crazy and run here to beat me up, won’t they?’

’I’m really looking forward to it.’

”Ma’am, the Master has already returned home.”

In the car, Owen Foster told me that Asher was home.

”Didn’t the doctor say he should stay in the hospital for a few days of observation?” I looked out the window, my voice catching in my throat.

’For Silvia Lynch, death must have truly been a release.’

”There’s a family doctor at home, so you don’t need to worry.”

I leaned groggily against the car window, my head throbbing.

’Did dying once make me stronger? To think I’ve actually learned to give an eye for an eye...’

’And I have to admit, this feeling isn’t half bad.’

I fell asleep in the car and woke up to find myself in bed.

Asher was there, stripped down to his underwear with gauze taped over his wounds, staring at me with pitiful eyes. ”Cece, bath time.”

”...” ’This can’t be the right way to wake up.’ I turned over and tried to go back to sleep.

”Cece, the police identified Silvia Lynch’s grandmother as the number-one most wanted human trafficker, May. She’s already been taken in for questioning...” Asher said, looking completely innocent. ”Oh, right, Silvia Lynch’s younger brother was also arrested... for indecent assault, theft, robbery, and rape...”

Asher thought for a moment before speaking again. ”Oh, her whole family are human traffickers. Silvia Lynch’s youngest uncle... he tried to resist arrest. He lost control, took a bystander hostage, and was shot and killed on the spot.”

I was stunned for a long time. ’I haven’t even done anything yet! How could it be over... without me even getting a chance?’

’Is this a coincidence?’
