Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 991: Chapter 1004: What Are You Looking At Over There?

After arriving home, An Ran changed her shoes and first went to the fridge to get a plate of fruit she had frozen in the morning, and then grabbed two ice creams.

”Liu Hu, you watch some TV first. I’ll make dinner. Is there anything you’d like to eat? Look, we have the ingredients we bought yesterday, you can choose.”

Liu Hu sat on the sofa. When An Ran came over with the fruit, he couldn’t help but sit up straight. Seeing An Ran hand him the ice cream, he quickly took it.

”Sis... Sister-in-law, no need to be so polite. I’m not picky, anything’s good for me to eat.”

Seeing his restrained manner, An Ran almost expected him to stand up and salute her. She chuckled softly, ”I mean, Liu Hu, this isn’t the first time you’ve eaten my cooking or been to our home. Do you really need to be this nervous?”

Liu Hu took off his army cap, scratched his head, and laughed awkwardly, ”Sister-in-law, I’m not nervous, really not nervous.”

Who wouldn’t be nervous? It’s not the first time he’s eaten An Ran’s cooking, or come to their house, but every other time there were friends and servants around. This was the first time alone with An Ran.

He was even contemplating how he might die. He could imagine a hundred ways Mu Xingfeng might deal with him once he found out. Was it still time for him to leave?

”Alright, stop being so formal, you’re making it feel like we’re strangers. You’re Mu Xingfeng’s guard, so you’re one of us. Just feel at home like you did back in the Imperial City. The fruit’s chilled, have some first. Dinner will be ready soon.”

That said, An Ran headed into the kitchen.

She truly saw Liu Hu as family. If Mu Xingfeng chose Liu Hu as a guard, he really trusted him and saw him as one of his own. Besides, An Ran felt a special affection for the soldiers under Mu Xingfeng.

”Mom, what are you looking at over there?” Li Lele came out of the bedroom and saw his mother, Sun Lufang, standing on the balcony peeping from behind a piece of clothing. He was too short to see what his mother was looking at.

Sun Lufang looked down at her son, who was craning his neck to look. She laughed and tapped his forehead, ”Go, go, play somewhere else.”

”Mom, you still haven’t told me what’s so interesting to watch?” Li Lele persisted. Since his mom was watching so intently just now, there had to be something.

”Hey, you little rascal, I’m just hanging clothes. What do you think I’m looking at? Have you finished your homework? When your dad comes back from the exercise and finds out you haven’t done it, you’ll get your butt kicked.”

Hearing his mother’s threat, Li Lele sheepishly went back to his room, occasionally glancing back towards the balcony, but he didn’t see anything.

Once her son closed the door again, Sun Lufang continued to look towards the opposite building.

She always felt that something was off with Captain Mu and his wife. As a couple, who gets married so quickly in the city?

She didn’t believe for a second that Captain Mu just suddenly brought a wife back without anyone having heard of a girlfriend.

Although she thought Captain Mu was improper, she never guessed his wife would be the same kind of person.

This was in the Guard Team compound! Captain Mu wasn’t home, and his wife was seducing another guard and even openly brought him into their home.

The other day, she heard Huang Xiaoyu mention that Captain Mu’s wife called out for Liu Hu when she opened the door, but she thought Huang Xiaoyu was just jealous of Captain Mu’s wife and was trying to smear her. She didn’t expect to catch them red-handed today.

Even though she couldn’t clearly see who it was from this distance, she was certain it was definitely a man.
