Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 970: Chapter 980: Please Take Good Care of Her

Mu Xingfeng slightly nodded at a few people, ”This is my wife,” then he paused as if he remembered something, and continued to the women, ”In the future, I hope you can take good care of her.”

After saying that, he led An Ran into the convenience store.

The women outside were dumbstruck, holding unbroken green beans, and looked at the woman beside her, ”Sister-in-law Wang, did I hear wrong? Did Captain Mu actually say he hopes we can take care of his wife in the future?”

Sister-in-law Wang was equally surprised, ”You didn’t hear wrong; he did say that.”

She then shook her head and chuckled, ”To say, Captain Mu is quite a figure in our Guard Team, always with a cold and distant personality, famously tough on his men. I didn’t expect there’d be a day he’d carefully protect his wife.”

”Really,” the woman also chuckled.

The Guard Team always had dietary requirements for its members, with the canteen serving meals with balanced nutrition and strict ratios. But the convenience store in the Guard Team offered a wide variety of snacks and goodies—everything one could want.

This probably was for the convenience of team members’ families.

An Ran felt like she was in heaven as she entered the convenience store. She immediately grabbed two bags of chips, a bag of lollipops, a box of chocolate pie, and a box of egg yolk pie. If Mu Xingfeng weren’t around, she’d probably grab two bags of instant noodles or ramen too.

Only when her arms were full did she reluctantly go to the counter, placed her items down, and went to the refrigerator to choose ice cream.

Mu Xingfeng stood by the counter, one hand in his pocket, watching the little woman selecting snacks like a busy little bee.

The cashier had already dropped their jaw in shock.

Seeing Captain Mu step into a convenience store was rare, but to bring along a soft and cute girl and look at her with such a doting gaze!

A doting gaze, if told, probably no one would believe it, right? That the cold-faced Yama of the Nan’an Guard Team could show a doting gaze?

”Clatter,” An Ran put the carefully chosen ice creams on the counter. Anyway, the refrigerator at home was big enough, and these ice creams were enough for her to enjoy for a few days.

”Alright, let’s check out.” An Ran smiled brightly at the cashier.

Mu Xingfeng walked up first, picked up the chocolate pie, examined it, and tossed it into the shopping basket. Then he checked the egg yolk pie, did the same, and without even looking at the lollipops, tossed them in as well. As for the ice creams, only branded ones were left, while he tossed all the generic ones into the basket.

Seeing the snacks on the counter shrink by half, An Ran pouted, ”Mu Xingfeng, why did you do that? I spent so much time choosing them.”

Mu Xingfeng pointed at the items on the counter and told the cashier, ”Please check these out.”

Then he looked at An Ran, seeing her unhappy face, and patiently explained, ”This chocolate pie is all about the cocoa substitutes. It’s too high in calories, not good for girls to have too much. The egg yolk pie has no egg yolks—it’s all poor-quality cream and sweeteners. Also, your maxillary second molar has signs of cavities; you shouldn’t eat more sugar.”

An Ran was on the verge of tears, pointing at the box of ice cream for a last-ditch effort, ”What about these? I’m only buying more to put in the fridge, not planning to eat them all at once.”

”Do you think I’d let you eat all of them at once even if you planned to?” Mu Xingfeng looked at her with a ’little idiot’ gaze, ”These are all from small manufacturers; they could upset your stomach easily. Eating one a day, the ones on the counter are enough for two weeks.”
