Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 961: Chapter 971: There’s Something Wrong with This Person

”What’s going on?”

An Ran was awakened by the sound of the door opening, rubbing her sleepy eyes, and looked at the two people in front of her.

When she saw the nurse dressed tightly, An Ran mumbled in a daze, ”Teacher Wang.”

Mu Xingfeng noticed the little nurse’s body stiffen when she heard An Ran call out Teacher Wang, and he reached out to pull down her mask, revealing a stranger’s face.

At this moment, Zhang Liang rushed in from outside with some things and was surprised to see the nurse, ”Teacher Wang, what are you doing here?”

Wang Jiaqi, who was recognized in public, quickly changed her weak demeanor, quirking her lips awkwardly, ”I just came over from Zhu Pengfei’s side. I heard An Ran was also sick, so I came to check on her. I was about to give her some more medication since her fever hadn’t subsided, but this man stopped me.”

Wang Jiaqi said this as she withdrew her arm and rotated her wrist, which was almost squeezed broken, frowning as she said, ”Sir, I don’t know what your relationship with the patient is, but barging into the ward like this and obstructing the medical staff, who will take responsibility for delaying the treatment?”

Wang Jiaqi had never seen Mu Xingfeng and was unaware of his relationship with An Ran. Seeing his guard-like attire, she just assumed he was part of the Guard Team executing the mission.

Although what she was about to do was not in the light, so what? After all, she hadn’t done it yet. Even if those Guard Team members saw her, as a medical staff and the patient’s teacher, it was only fitting that she came to see the patient.

”Since the patient is awake, you all should observe for a while. If anything happens, call the nurse anytime. I’m just over there in the surgery ward, you can find me if needed. After all, they are all my students.”

As Wang Jiaqi spoke, she was about to head out the door.

”Teacher Wang seems to have forgotten something,” Mu Xingfeng blocked the doorway, his eyes fixed on the syringe in Wang Jiaqi’s hand.

If he hadn’t arrived in time, the syringe’s contents would have been injected into the IV line, and now, this Teacher Wang clearly had no intention of continuing her previous actions.

As a member of the Special Training Team, Mu Xingfeng had sharp observational skills and insight. He wouldn’t overlook any potential danger around his little wife.

Even though he knew the person before him was his little wife’s teacher, Mu Xingfeng’s intuition told him there was something wrong with her.

Mu Xingfeng approached An Ran’s bedside, removing the nearly finished IV drip and gently pressed her swollen hand, which had been pricked by the needle.

Seeing Mu Xingfeng’s actions and An Ran’s dependent expression towards the man, Teacher Wang’s lips curled into a mocking smile. As expected, this woman was extraordinary; now she’s managed to get involved with the Guard Team?

”I think this gentleman is being a bit too controlling, don’t you? I came here to give An Ran some more fever-reducing medication, but now An Ran’s fine, so there’s no need to add the medication. Also, although An Ran is an adult now, as her teacher, I still have to say, An Ran, we’re representing Nan University here. Our words and actions reflect the image of Nan University. Now you’re here in the hospital, tangling with this man; if classmates see it, what would it look like?”

Zhang Liang wiped a sweat from his forehead at the door. Despite the air conditioning being on low inside the room, his back was soaked with sweat.

At that time, he was guarding outside the door. He didn’t think much when he saw the nurse coming, but now, seeing clearly that the nurse was Teacher Wang, even with his blunt nerves, he felt that things weren’t that simple.
