Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 886: Chapter 896: The Right to Be Pampered

Mu Xingfeng took An Ran directly back to Longteng Xinyuan. The weather in the south in June was already very hot. Just from the parking lot back to the room, An Ran’s forehead was already covered in fine sweat, and her little face was flushed red.

After entering the house, An Ran kicked off her two shoes, ran barefoot to the air conditioner, set it to 20 degrees, and let the cold wind blow directly at her, even lifting her shirt ungracefully to feel the breeze.

Mu Xingfeng changed his shoes, picked up the shoes she had kicked around and placed them neatly, hung her bag on the coat rack, then took a few steps to the air conditioner and adjusted the vent to a height of 1.7 meters, so that the cool breeze just skimmed over An Ran’s head.

An Ran paused, holding her shirt, and protested in dissatisfaction, ”Mu Xingfeng, let me enjoy the cool air a little longer.”

Mu Xingfeng turned around and scrutinized her from top to bottom.

It had been almost a month since he last saw her. When he returned from the Imperial City, the weather was warming up, yet they were still wearing long sleeves and trousers. Even skirts were knee-length. Now, it was full-on summer wear, where less clothing was preferred by some.

An Ran’s skirt was not short, yet it just reached her knees, and now with her unintentional tug, Mu Xingfeng’s gaze darkened.

Seeing her little mouth pouting in dissatisfaction, Mu Xingfeng pulled the girl into his embrace and said in a low but stern voice, ”No matter how hot it is, you mustn’t let the air conditioner blow directly on you. That’s bad for your health. If you’re feeling hot, take a cool shower first. I’ll go buy some groceries and cook dinner when I come back.”

Hearing the first half of Mu Xingfeng’s statement, An Ran reluctantly replied with an ”oh,” but when she heard the latter part, her eyes lit up, ”Then I’ll go to the supermarket with you.”

”No need, it’s hot outside. You stay at home and wait.” He hadn’t bought groceries on the road earlier just to drop this girl off first.

Mu Xingfeng had noticed that his little wife wasn’t just afraid of cold, but also extremely sensitive to heat. However, he didn’t mind if she was a bit more spoiled. His wife, Mu Xingfeng’s wife, had the right to be pampered.

”But I want to stroll around the supermarket, and besides, it has air conditioning, so it won’t be too hot.” An Ran pushed away Mu Xingfeng and was about to put on her shoes, but Mu Xingfeng pulled her back into his arms.

”I’m not going to the supermarket. Are you planning to go to the wet market with me?”

Although supermarkets are cooler, the food there isn’t as fresh as that in the market.

Upon hearing about going to the market, An Ran cowered. She’d rather cook instant noodles than make a trip to the market at noon. But with Mu Xingfeng around, he certainly wouldn’t allow her to eat that kind of food.

Thinking about what she wanted to eat, An Ran gave Mu Xingfeng a sneaky smile, ”Hubby, could you help me buy something when you go to the market?”

”What do you want to eat?”

Mu Xingfeng knew that big girls love snacks, just like his big sister. Whenever she’s home, snack wrappers fly everywhere, indistinguishable whether she or Niuniu made the mess.

Although he wasn’t fond of his little wife eating junk food, he wouldn’t completely forbid it, occasionally even buying some for her proactively.

Seeing him agree so quickly, An Ran went up on tiptoes to give him a kiss on the cheek, ”Hubby, I want ice cream and popsicles.”

”No way,” Mu Xingfeng replied without a second thought, ”Girls should eat less of those cold things. Have you forgotten how you passed out from menstrual cramps on the training ground last summer? Or how it felt drinking the herbal medicine?”
