Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 879: Chapter 889: Who Would Want Such a Dumb Girlfriend?

Lin Junyang looked at the girl on the hospital bed with her eyes tightly closed and asked the nurse checking the room for the Nth time, ”Nurse, why isn’t she waking up? Could she have fried her brain with the fever?”

The young nurse blushed slightly, blinking her big eyes as she replied sweetly, ”No, sir, she just has a common fever.”

”But I carried her for several exams just now and she didn’t wake up from me shaking her. Could there be something wrong?” This woman can be carefree, but she’s not exactly a dead weight.

The young nurse couldn’t help but sigh. Not only is this man handsome, but he’s so considerate to women. That girl just has a common fever and he’s already so attentive. Could that girl be his girlfriend? Having such a boyfriend is truly a blessing.

”There won’t be any problems. Her fever has lasted a while, causing some dehydration, and her bodily functions have weakened. Sleep will help her recover.”

Only then did Lin Junyang say ”oh,” and as he looked at the girl’s chapped lips due to the high fever, he picked up the water cup on the table, intending to feed her some water.

The young nurse watched the man’s careful actions, and her entire heart seemed to melt, prompting her to ask, ”Sir, you’re really good to your girlfriend.”

Lin Junyang’s hand holding the cup froze, something in his heart was struck hard, but he said disdainfully, ”Who would want such a dumb girlfriend?”

Surprised that she wasn’t his girlfriend, the young nurse’s eyes lit up. Looking at the girl’s delicate features on the bed, equally attractive as the man’s, she thought maybe she was his sister?

Thinking of this, the young nurse felt happy, finding the man’s clumsy actions of holding up the girl and trying to feed her water even more endearing as she walked over, taking out some medical swabs.

”Sir, she can’t drink water like this. You can use this swab to moisten her lips. When she wakes up, then let her drink water.”

Lin Junyang carefully lay Xiao Xiao back down, took a swab, dipped it in water, and gently applied it to her lips.

Just looking at the girl’s small mouth, the tips of his ears started to burn a little.

”Sir, don’t cover her so tightly with the blanket. Her temperature hasn’t gone down yet. Covering her this tightly will hinder her body’s heat dissipation.”

Listening, Lin Junyang pulled Xiao Xiao’s blanket down a bit. ”Is this okay? Why hasn’t her fever gone down yet? Is there any other way to help her cool down faster?”

Lin Junyang looked at the groggy Xiao Xiao, lying there peacefully, feeling unusually uneasy. At this moment, he really missed the days when they bickered with each other.

Looking at the man humbly asking like an elementary school student, the young nurse scored Lin Junyang another two points in her heart. Besides, how could she refuse a handsome guy’s request?

”This young lady just took her medication. It will take some time for it to take effect. In the meantime, you can actually use physical cooling methods.”

”Physical cooling?” Lin Junyang, who grew up in a Guard Team family, wasn’t familiar with such a term.

”Yes, there are various physical cooling methods like taking a warm bath, wiping the body with warm water, or using alcohol to wipe her limbs. Medical alcohol will do. If you need, I can help you get some from the nurse’s station.”

The young nurse listed some physical cooling methods, then noticed the man’s face changing colors like a palette, quite a scene.

Only then did she realize, the patient is a girl, even if she’s a sister, as a brother, he can’t help her bathe or wipe her body.
