Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 881: Chapter 891: Can’t You Let Me Worry Less?

Xiao Xiao took the water, drank two sips, and her throat felt a bit better before she said, ”I’m a doctor myself and I understand my own illness. It’s just a cold, it looks serious, but I’ll be fine after sleeping for two days.”

Lin Junyang sneered, ”Just sleep for two days and it’ll be fine, huh? If you keep sleeping, you’ll truly turn into a fool. I mean, Xiao Xiao, can you stop giving me a hard time? Do you know that you were talking nonsense because of the fever earlier?”

As he spoke, Lin Junyang suddenly changed the subject, ”Xiao Xiao, are you intentionally getting sick to make me feel guilty?”

Xiao Xiao almost spit out the water. Make him guilty? When did this guy become so narcissistic? No, this guy has always been this narcissistic.

”Lin Junyang, you made it very clear to me that day. No matter what, I won’t be so shameless. Yes, I like you, is it wrong for me to like you? Don’t think that just because I like you, you can trample on other people’s dignity. Also, my illness is my own issue. I have no intention of using my sickness to threaten you. If you’re busy with your training, you can leave now. I certainly didn’t expect you to worry about me. I can’t afford the concern of Young Master Lin.”

With that, Xiao Xiao put the water cup heavily on the bedside table and pulled the quilt over herself.

”Hey, you’re still connected to the IV. How can you be so rough?”

Lin Junyang quickly pulled the quilt away, to prevent the infusion tube on her hand from getting caught in the quilt and moving the needle. Seeing the girl turn her back on him, he felt a bit upset.

They hadn’t seen each other for a month, and he kindly brought her to the hospital for treatment, yet she treated him like this. Did she really think the care of Young Master Lin was so cheap?

Hearing the footsteps gradually walking away, Xiao Xiao turned her head, sure enough, the man had already left the ward.

”Pfft, leave if you want, who wants you here,” Xiao Xiao muttered, but when she lifted the quilt, she was dumbfounded.

She had no idea how she ended up in the hospital, but looking at the pajamas she was wearing, she guessed she must have been delirious with fever and was brought here directly, otherwise, she wouldn’t be in pajamas.

Looking around, great, except for herself, her clothes, her bag, her phone, there wasn’t even a hair left.

Lin Junyang left, and now, how was she supposed to get discharged? How was she going to return to school? Waiting online, there really wasn’t anything more urgent than this.

Then Xiao Xiao realized another issue; after all the fuss earlier, she was sweating profusely, maybe the medicine was taking effect. Her head was not so dizzy, but she was a bit... desperate.

Xiao Xiao fumbled for the call button by the bedside and pressed it. Soon, a young nurse came in.

Upon entering, the young nurse’s first look wasn’t at the patient on the bed; she glanced around the room and only came to the bedside when she found the figure was absent, routinely asking, ”Is there anything I can help with?”

”I want to go to the bathroom, can you remove the IV for me?” Xiao Xiao asked.

”Where is your brother?” The nurse responded irrelevantly.

Brother? Did Lin Junyang tell others he’s her brother? Did he always see her as a sister?

Though Xiao Xiao quite liked the idea of having a brother, she didn’t want it to be Lin Junyang.

”He’s not my brother, please help me remove the IV, I’m desperate.” Xiao Xiao urged.

Not a brother? If he’s not her brother yet treats her so well, then he must be her boyfriend? Thinking this way, the young nurse felt jealousy burning inside her and her gaze towards Xiao Xiao turned colder.
