Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 413: Chapter 426: Don’t You Trust Me?

She was a woman, she was Shen Wenxuan’s childhood sweetheart girlfriend. As a woman, how could she not feel Shen Wenxuan’s indifference towards An Ran?

Although Shen Wenxuan was gentle and courteous, those who knew him understood that his politeness was merely on the surface. Few people could truly enter his heart.

However, ever since that first meeting at the airport, she sensed Shen Wenxuan’s unusual warmth and concern for An Ran.

At first, she just thought that since her little brother had finally found a girlfriend, it was only natural for Wenxuan to treat them better.

But during Old Mr. Lin’s birthday banquet, when An Ran went missing, the anxiety Shen Wenxuan exhibited and the glimpse of sorrow in his eyes when he found An Ran...

She had never dared to face the situation. She was afraid of losing him, afraid that he had grown tired of her after more than twenty years...

Shen Wenxuan had been following Mu Wanxin. He watched her standing there shouting and venting until her shoulders began to shake; only then did he step forward.

He noticed she was shivering slightly in the thin dress she wore in the cold wind, and instinctively wanted to take off his suit and put it on her, but his suit was already somewhat stiff.

His large hand rested on her trembling shoulder, trying to warm her with the temperature of his hand.

”Wanxin...”

The deep, elegant voice behind her, accompanied by a familiar aura and the warmth on her shoulder, made Mu Wanxin freeze.

Turning around, she saw Shen Wenxuan’s wounded expression.

”Wanxin, don’t you trust me?”

Shen Wenxuan admitted Feng Jingjing was right; he too knew he felt differently towards An Ran, but that was purely because seeing An Ran gave him a sense of familiarity.

That feeling made him unable to resist getting closer, just like his sentiments towards Ya. He couldn’t help but want to care for and protect her.

But he knew very well, that feeling was completely different from romantic love. The one he loved was only Mu Wanxin; his entire heart belonged to Mu Wanxin, and there could never be room for another woman.

Don’t you trust me? Hearing Shen Wenxuan’s question, Mu Wanxin’s heart felt like it was being torn apart.

No, she trusted him. Even under the influence of drugs, he wouldn’t do anything to An Ran. He would rather plunge into cold water in winter than stay with An Ran. What was there not to trust?

Suddenly thinking about the cold water, Mu Wanxin’s eyes widened. Only then did she realize Shen Wenxuan was standing there with her, wearing wet clothes.

In this kind of weather, she was already shivering in her dress, and Shen Wenxuan’s wet clothes were practically freezing.

”Wenxuan, why did you come out like this? You’ll catch a cold. Go back quickly.”

Mu Wanxin said while pushing him.

Shen Wenxuan grabbed her wrist, ”Wanxin, answer my question.”

He didn’t care how others saw him. He only cared about her opinion. She was his only treasure in this lifetime. He didn’t want to see her sad.

”Wenxuan, don’t be like this. Be good, go back,” Mu Wanxin tried to break free from his grip, but she found his strength today was terrifying. She looked up and met his deep, ocean-like eyes.

Shen Wenxuan just looked at her, the emotions in his eyes waiting for a judgment.

”Wenxuan, I trust you, I just...” She couldn’t get over herself.

Before Mu Wanxin could finish, Shen Wenxuan’s eyes brightened. He turned and dragged her straight to the parking lot.

”Wenxuan, where are you taking me? The guests are still here,” once they got into the car, Mu Wanxin asked in confusion.

This was their engagement banquet, and the party wasn’t even over. Was it really okay for them to just leave?

Moreover, one was in a thin dress, and the other in wet clothes.

Shen Wenxuan started the car, and hearing her words, he leaned over, ”Thank you for trusting me, my wife. Be good, you’ll know soon.”

Hearing Shen Wenxuan call her ”wife,” Mu Wanxin’s face instantly turned red.

They had grown up together and become lovers. For over twenty years, Mu Wanxin always called him Wenxuan, and he always called her Wanxin.

This was the first time he called her this way, and inexplicably, her heart skipped a few beats.

They drove all the way to Shen Wenxuan’s villa. Once they got out of the car, Shen Wenxuan picked her up directly.

Touching his partially wet suit, Mu Wanxin couldn’t help but shiver.

Shen Wenxuan’s eyes darkened, but he still held her and quickly walked into the house, heading straight for the second floor.

”Wenxuan...”

...

Mu Xingfeng didn’t wait for the guests to leave and brought An Ran back to the villa.

On their way back, Liu Hu drove, carefully watching the two people in the back seat.

For the first time in the Imperial City, he felt as if the cold-faced Yama boss had returned, and couldn’t help but be extra vigilant.

Meanwhile, An Ran quietly sat in the back seat, looking at the cold, handsome face beside her. That perfect jawline held a deadly chill.
